The Devil's Rose by Brom review

Meet Cole Mcgee, former Texas Ranger and now a Soulhunter for the Devil. Sent up from the netherworld to retrieve the souls of a few run aways, but this time something is different. One of the runaways is important and the Devil is willing to do just about anything to get it back. Will Cole succeed and bring it back? Will he fail in his mission and be thrown into the fire pits? Or will the unexpected happen?

The Devil's Thorn is a great book that makes you think about religion, and about the damnation of ones soul. Is redemption possible for one who is damned, or are the forever cursed to auffer endless torment. Amid this setting you will learn why Mcgee has chosen to do the Devil's work and what occured to put him in the situation he is now in.

Another great illustrated story by the dark fantasy master with the appropriate amount of gore, violence, and swearing. The accompanied artwork is masterful and really helps bring the scenes and characters to life. The one complaint I have is that the story doesn't really end, instead it just stops getting told leaving the reader longing for more.
