The God's Realm

In what seems to be another universe, a land looking much like the Earth itself, immortals walk living their life for mankind. Their purpose serves as the watchers of the Earth keeping its steady balance between good and evil.

Nehemiah, a god who has say over most gods, being the god of just causes, stomped through the halls of his vast mansion, that he owned with his brother who was now banished, to get to one individual room. He opened to door like a gust of wind, slamming open the door and slamming it behind him. He took his seat at the large round table typically used for the elder meetings. He was furious now. It was rare that he was mad. He rested his elbows on the table slouching forward and rested his chin on his palms and than sighed shoving his whole face in his palms letting his long hair fall beside his face making a curtain on either side of him.

In the far side of the room no so far from the door a large black zero carved into the open air as a jet black figure pulled through, its hair pure white. As it crossed from one plane to the other a large 'X' Crossed the zero through both becoming solid,it began to float behind the figure as he floated closer to Nehemiah.

Yuki raced into the room dawning his mortal realm appearance, "Nememiah...not to question you, but are you sure throwing him out like this is truely the right path to take?", he glanced down at the dress and blushed, "Ops...I'd forgoten I was still in my mortal form!", Yuki raced into a near by room and transformed quickly. He returned to Nehemiah, "As I was saying, are you sure you can live without your brother in this realm...and will you regret it if he never returns?"

Nemamiah looked up at those around him. He looked at Yuki to respond. "Yes. I will have no regrets. It is for the best of everyone. It was needed. He needs to learn that not everything will go his way." He sighed. He was so frustrated from the confrontation.

Yuki smiled warmly satisfied with Nememiah's answer, "May I ask one more question of you?"

Nemamiah rose. "Yes. What is it that you need?"

The black figure took a look at Yuki with glowing blue eyes.He crosses his arms and waited to see what was going on.

"May I get your permission to monitor Damion from time to time in the mortal realm?", Yuki stood up straight as if to make a formal expliantion, "I only mean to observe him, and maybe speak with the mortals surrounding him. of course I will have to be in mortal form and possibly stay for a few days each visit.", he flashed a quick smile, "And, as always, I will report my findings to you first."

While Yuki had been talking, there had been a soft tap on the door before Barke stepped in, his face calm as usual. He looked around at the occupants, listening to Yuki completely before he stepped in fully, shut the door, and proceeded with calm steps to his usual seat. "Don't you think Damion will recognize you?" he asked Yuki, not accusingly, and not confused. It was like he was asking him to think. "And what purpose would you serve? The only reason to know what and how he is doing, is so that you, or we, may assist him when he requires it." Barke's mostly quicksilver colored eyes looked straight up at Yuki's, unwavering. "Do you think he deserves our assistance?"

A soothing voice drifted from the black figure "And do you think he does not?" the figure seemed stern but didn't change its position nor did its eyes change expression."He decided to use extreme measures to better his brother, despite his choices he is still one of us and deserves everything we can do to help him change.Of course never directly..."

"Ridan, I was not saying that is what I did or did not think," Barke informed the dark figure, his eyes still on Yuki. "And I refuse to make my view of the situation even the slightest bit known until I know... what Yuki thinks. That is why I am asking him."

"fair enough,I guess I'm just too used to human thought patterns" Ridan let out a audible sigh though his body has no mouth. "sorry for my interruption continue."

Nemamiah spoke up. "Quiet." He told his audience. "You may think he needs help, but this is only something Damion can do on his own. He has lived through only brutality and torture. He has lived in nothing more than darkness. Let him find the light on his own. Besides," He finished speaking. "there will be plenty of mortals that he will befriend." He rose form his seat and walked to the other end of the room where there was a large ceramic stand with water in the top. He gently touched the water and an image appeared. "It looks like he has already made a friend." He spoke referring to Damion in a car with another man speaking.

Ridan closed his eyes and thought to himself,He is being stubborn this isn't something he can do alone, they are both being spiteful and that will just drag this out even longer.

"How does one who lives and loves such darkness, ever find the light alone?" Barke asked, not really looking for an answer as he silently joined Nemamiah at the stand, looking at the water, his face still calm, showing neither support nor condemnation for all of this. "... I do hope he will follow the path, when he finally comes to see it," he finally admitted to his companion without looking up.

Yuki waited until everyone had their say before fully explaining himself, "I never once said I meant to interfere with him, only to observe. Also, with my ability of misconception and the fact that my human form is a woman who looks little like me I figured Damion would be too busy with the mortals to notice my presence.", a calm collected look flooded his eyes, "I only wish to see what he does from a mortal's perspective. As far as my reason for interrogating the mortals surrounding him...well as we know mortals are strange creature who seem to open up to total strangers. If i only speak with each one once and privately, Damion should be none the wiser.", Yuki places his hand on his chin thinking out loud for a moment, "Of course there is always the possibility of me getting caught...and if that were to happen, I could use my ability to alter his perception of what happened untill I am out of his range."

"Give him time young ones." Nemamiah spoke up again. "He has yet to even be there a night and has already been taken in. The reason he is there is for love. To find the true meaning of life and why not to destroy it." He looked of from the water. "Give him time, Yuki. If things get out of hand, I will need others to stay around near him to keep it under control but only then will we interfere."

"Thank you for listening to me.", Yuki walked over to his normal seat and sat down, "I feel as if I truely belong here, and not just some new memeber speaking for his health."

"It is interesting," Barke pointed out, looking at Yuki again. "How you refer to the mortals as if you never were one." He looked at Nemamiah and bowed respectfully. "Forgive me, but I have the hopes and dreams of mortals to tend to." He nodded to the others in turn. "Ridan. Yuki." He looked at all of them. "You know where to find me." And with that, he walked out of the room, closing the door softly behind him.

Yuki smiled calmly, "Well...what an accusation."

Ridan shrugged and opened his eyes again.

Nemamiah watched Barke leave and than looked to Yuki and Ridan. "You two are free to leave if you so wish. If I believe Damion needs help, than I will select those who are most capable to help him."

Ridan shrugged once more and spoke "It's probably not my place to help him,his heartlessness just makes him more like me."

"Alright, I will be in my room, call me if you need me.", Yuki said kindly as he walked out of the room and to his room.

Nemamiah walked back to his seat and slowly lowered himself to sit. He put his forehead into his palms and rested his elbows on the table before him. All of this worry for his brother was giving him a headache.

Sanguine popped in at Nemamiah's side, her usual bored expression on her face. Her eyes hinted at her true inner emotions, however. "Is it truly right to punish him for being who he is?" Ginny inquired in neither a congratulatory or accusing tone. It was...simply a question, as if she was talking to herself.

"Because, who he is is wrong. It contradicts who I am." Nemamiah stated.

"There is the other side to consider," Ginny commented in her bored tone. "Who you are contradicts who he is." Sanguine was ever the devil's advocate. "If he became more like you, the world would therefore loose some balance. It stands on a precipice, teetering on the edge, and would you be the one to overbalance it?" She sat down across from him, her eyes meeting his, unchallenging, but focused on him nonetheless.

Nemamiah than looked up to Sanguine. "He was abusing his title. He was even taking some of your reign, Ginny." He spoke gently to her seeing how she looked at him. She wouldn't show it but in a way, he knew she was upset about something.

"The other can only ask. He cannot deliver without my consent." Ginny looked down at the table, blinking twice. For a girl of neutral feelings, guilt was weighing heavily upon her. She had upset the balance, at the behest of Damion. And because she had, it was up to her to right it. "He will call on me again. This will anger him. He is who he is, and we cannot change that."

"No matter what we reign we all feel opposite emotions. I can feel anger, you can feel life, than Damion can feel compassion." Nemamiah objected.

Sanguine looked up again. "Can that compassion move him, though? Can he feel it towards people he has never met?" Again, she was playing the other side. Ginny tilted her head slightly in an almost childlike manner. "Does that anger you hold move you to do the unspeakable? The life I feel does not keep me from my purpose."

"His purpose is to show mankind that life is not easy. Not to scar them for the rest of their existence." Nemamiah said. "The point of all of this is to show him that their life is valuable, not to take away his purpose." he rose from his seat and went back to the 'looking pond' and looked down on what his brother was doing now seeing that he was in the home of a mortal man. "He will soon grow bonds with total mortal strangers and have the feelings he should have. Damion has no feelings and I want him to see that he can."

"Hatred and anger are feelings." Sanguine stood and looked at Nemamiah. "The others talk, I listen, they say the same about me. Am I to be banished because I take lives with little thought as to the person behind the life?" Finally, it seemed she asked the question that was really bothering her. Even her voice changed to a slightly worried tone. It was a subtle change, but distinguishable to the god she was speaking to if he was paying attention.

Nemamiah sighed. "Is that what has been bothering you, Sanguine?" He approached her and rested a hand on her shoulder for a form of comfort.

Ridan took in all that had been said and let out a yawn.

"It is and has," Ginny said quietly. "I am more Damion than Nemamiah these days, and I do not wish to share in his fate." Though Sanguine was technically outside of Nemamiah's or the rests' jurisdiction, she was subject to the collective wills of those with more power than she.

Nemamiah frowned. "Just don't truly become him in the end. You truly have a purpose in the end. You remove the good from the terrible world below in the best way possible for those around the human you remove, Damion on the other hand will find those most fun to torture before ending it. He is the one that causes the horrific deaths like gouging out eyes or an unnatural plane accident causing the deaths of many, when you take the lives of those in horrendous pain or are far too good for the world of evil." He explained. "Do not mourn for Damion's fate, for it will not happen to you."

Sanguine actually brightened at that news, not that it was evident on her face. "You do know that now he is mortal, he lives on borrowed time? I cannot keep him from a fate of living in my realm should he meet his end."

Nemamiah nodded. "Yes, I know that. That is why if he were to die there in the mortal realm he will come back here."

"You are mistaken, Nemamiah. If he were to die in the mortal realm as a mortal, he would be permanently placed in my realm unless I was willing to let him go." Ginny was well known to be one of the most possessive gods around. Most knew that once she had a soul in her realm, there was very little hope for the soul to leave. Though most didn't want to leave there vision of paradise, the ones who were being punished wanted escape. And Sanguine wasn't one to give it. "And he would not regain his powers. Those would be transferred to the first god he came into contact with."

Nemamiah looked down and pondered her words. "I guess you are right, dear Sanguine. I took it all from him including his return." He recalled back to his anger. It was rather foolish of him to take away his brothers only way of returning if he were to 'die'.

"I certainly hope he does not die," Ginny said, staring away. "I do not want his powers, as the case would be."

2010-01-28 [Goma]: lol no biggy

2010-01-29 [~Spirit Fox~]: Yuki's one to question everyone whithout trying to question their athority. He likes to ask if they are sure and realize what they've done, so that they won't regret it later.

2010-01-29 [Artsy]: *points* Present tense...

2010-01-29 [~Spirit Fox~]: Kyu, where and what do you mean. (looked 50 times...) I'll fix it, unless it's not mine, but I';m nearly willing to bet it is.

2010-01-29 [Artsy]: races, glances, blushes, races, transforms, returns...

Supposed to be past tense... At least, that's standard from what I know.

2010-01-29 [~Spirit Fox~]: oh okay. I thought you ment i had it in past tense.

2010-01-29 [~Spirit Fox~]: better right?

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: ^.^ XD You do realize you just exposed Yuki's number one secret and fear as if it were nothing.

2010-02-02 [Artsy]: I assume that gods who have been around since before the beginning of time would notice a new comer >.>

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: Yeah, but I didn't think anyone would call him out so soon. Larko vanished, finally able to die, where Yuki entered as the new god. he never explained anything except he was the new god of misconceptions. Oh well this could be fun.

2010-02-02 [Artsy]: Barke would know Yuki from his human days... Always wishing people would see him for what he was, and not assume things by him. His name would be crossed out repeatedly in Barke's book.

Barke, I would assume, is one of those gods that makes Yuki most feel like he doesn't belong among the gods, because Barke will always see him as human.

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: oh okay then. ^.^ Like I said, this could be fun. XD Poor Yuki, crossed out not once but many times.

Anyway, should i tell you what Yuki is looking for as a god, or does Barke only involve mortals?

2010-02-02 [Artsy]: He only is involved with mortals, but Yuki can talk to him any time. He does not condemn him, after all, and I would think Yuki would want to confront him now that he knows the man behind his ruined hopes and dreams.

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: Even though that me seem natural, considering his personality, he'd rather fix whatever damage may have just poped up, and go back on his secondary goal, which is to figure out where Larko really went. Yuki wants a confrontion with Larko almost as bad as his reasons for going to the mortal realm. *but that one I'd like to keep hidden untill later. It'd be no fun if they knew that yet.* Also, Yuki will speak with Barke, but after he sees just how much damage Barke's words have caused.

2010-02-02 [Artsy]: Ah... well, if Larko is now in the mortal realm, and gave up his god status I guess he's mortal? If he's hoping something good will happen, Barke will know, he will see the name in his book (and Larko, as he did good work as a god, would not be crossed out)

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: I don't know if you'd call tricking a mortal into taking over his job a good work. I ahven't really decided if he wil or won't find Larko, and if Larko is actually dead, which is what Yuki was told, or if he is a mortal. Once I figure out which way I want to go with Yuki, then I'll have him ask you about Larko. But if yuki finds hm, he may not be so kind to Larko and he may make his 1st goal, and 2nd goal come true at the same time. XD I guess it just depends on where the storyline is, and who Yuki has encountered in between time.

But one other thing bothers me, what did Yuki get crossed out for? wait nvm, I'll just ahve him ask Barke himself.

But I'm not sure if I should have him just walk out and finsd him, because the storyline is in the room...and I don't know if I'll get introuble. -.-

2010-02-02 [Artsy]: You don't have to right now, just don't feel like you need a reason to go talk to him. If you have the time... well, your chary does, and the rp is slow, feel free.

And I'm not talking about that ONE THING Larko did, after all, he was a god long before he made Yuki take over. And Barke wouldn't know WHERE he is, he just knows all about their wishes and hopes and things, and their lives and such, everything but their location.

2010-02-02 [~Spirit Fox~]: Gotcha. ^.^
