The Great American Bathroom Reader review

The Great American Bathroom Reader by Mark B. Charlton
“The Big Book for the Smallest Room in Your House”

While dealing with my Dad's Intracerebral Hemorrhage, and his eventual death, and the sorting through his things, I needed a book. A light book. A very light book. Fortunately, this book was in his bathroom! It certainly fit the bill.

It's a book filled with snippets of random trivia, on a lot of different subjects. Quite educational, yet rather entertaining. It was a great way to unwind after a long day of hospital visits and funeral arrangements and just random stressful events. Unlike a lot of books (or websites) about random topics, it's not dryly written. The author uses mild humor throughout, which helps hold your interest, even if the topic isn't something you're particularly interested in. Yet the shortness of the articles helps give you a chance to put the book away... after all, it is designed to be read during your morning (or evening) “constitutional”. So if you are looking for a book just to read for 20 or 30 minutes at a stretch, just to take your mind off things or keep you from having to count the tiles on the floor, I highly recommend this one.
