The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson review

Okay, I admit I went into book 3 of the Mistborn Trilogy a little skeptical. I had quite a few questions piling up; loose ends that needed tying up and plot holes that weren't resolved yet. And as I kept reading through book 3, more questions kept popping up, unanswered. I was starting to get seriously concerned that this book was going to be a vast disappointment.

But after getting through this last book, I have to say, Brandon Sanderson is an evil bloody genius! If I could give this book 6 stars, I would. Absolutely every single one of my questions and concerns were addressed, and even minor things that were sparked in the first and second books (which I completely overlooked at the time) came back and were put in their place in the third book.

Finishing this book felt just as triumphant as putting that final puzzle piece in - where you finally see how everything you've read up to this point fits together so perfectly. It makes you think back to all those previous events and go, "Ah, so THAT'S what it means!"

The twist at the very end was both shocking and also deeply satisfying. It made so much sense that it's amazing I didn't see it beforehand.

Anyway, enough gushing from me. Go buy this trilogy. You will NOT be disappointed!
