The Deck

Jenn helped Justin up onto deck. "That's fine. But, my name's Jenn."

Hiuko takes the egg gfrom Justin. "Where exactly did you get this egg. This better not be the Kracken's" He said looking quite intently at the egg.

"I was logded between the rudder and the hull, i have no idea what it is...throw it back..sorry bout that Jenn." Justin looked down the back up. "Storm clearin."

"Hopefully this will calm it down." Hiuko says throwing the egg overboard.

Jenn blushed slightly, "It's ok." She said meekly.

J turned and headed back to his hammock. "Jenn set course for Ship wreck cove...we need supplies..rum mostly." He laid backin his hammock and relaxed.....then sprang up. "Huiko i have an idea! Hatch that krakken then raise it as a weapon of our own!!"

"Yes, capn'" Jenn was a little surprised that J would ask her to do such a thing. But she headed over to the wheel, and started to navigate.

"Fine I'll be right back." Hiuko went down to the smith room and came back with a bag of something. "I might need this little treat if the Kracken doesn't like me taking the egg back." He said before jumping overboard to go get the egg back which was surprisingly floating. He swam to get it and got right back and got out a knife from his pocket and used that to climb back board up into his porthole and when back up deck. "I think it's a girl." He said sobbing wet infront of J holding the egg.

"Eh i changed my mind throw it back. *looked at Huiko about to turn* IM KIDDING!!! gesh what should we do with it for now?" J quizzed Huiko.

Jenn knew they were on the right course, so she stepped aside the wheel for a second and walked over to J and Hiuko. "Well, it is an egg, so it probably needs something fairly warm. Don't ya think?"

"Im starving" said ahab coming up to the deck after putting up the rope. "Hey an egg! Lets cook it and eat!"

"Eh, you are a strange one you are." Hiuko said walking away with the egg before Ahab could make breakfast out of it. He walked below deck and came back empty handed. "Don't worry she's in a safe spot well away from Ahab or anyone else's stomachs." Hiuko said walking about deck to find any weapons or any other metal things to fix.

Jenn rolled her eyes, and walked below deck where Hiuko put the egg. 'Am I the only one who cares for this thing?" Jenn thought to herself. She started searching around for the poor egg.

"Jenn, don't worry I put in a nice warm and gentle spot were it won't be disturbed," Hiuko said from on deck. "and don't worry it won't hatch soon, the egg is still very tough so it's new." Hiuko climbed up to the crows nest walking up the ropes and masts instead of using the ladder.

"Good, good where now?" J puzzeled.

Jenn strolled up on deck. "Thanks Hiuko!" she yelled, and then turned to captain J. "Where now what?" She slowly started to make her way back to wheel, to be sure they were on course.

"I forgot where we were heading for a sec." J laughed to himself. He then quitly reached in his pocket and pulled out a pecan for Yami to nibble on.

"So ya remember now or are you just gonna pick a place at random?" Hiuko said settling down for a nap at the crows nest. He usually did look out duty when there was nothing to do in the smith's room.

Jenn reached the wheel and started steering the ship.

Luke wakes up with a delaid reaction "did somebody say somthin bout rum??"

"No, Luke." Jenn replied. "If you want some, go get some. But be careful of how much you get. Remember last time?"

"NO DAMMIT I WAS DRUNK!!!!!!" blurted luke.

Jenn chuckled a little. "Of course you were, Luke."

Ahab comes up from the weapons room and looks around. "Where are we heading to now?"

"Shipwreck Cove! were running low on gunpowder *cough*ahab*cough* and....rum." Captian J responded.

"We're not too far from Shipwreck Cove....Are we not? And isn't there some gunpowder there, Captain J?" Jenn asked.

"Hey its not my fault that...well actually it may be my fault. so nevermind" said ahab.

"I never said we were out, just low. It always pays to plan ahead." J peared at an island coming up. "Good navigating Jenn."

"Ah good, I heard they've got some new smithing tools in development, I could use some." Hiuko said looking far out. "I'll keep a lookout from up here!" He shouts from his hammock in the crows nest although he's the only one that knew it was there since he's the only one that takes lookout duty in the crows nest.

"Thank you, Captain J. And Hiuko...help me find a safe place to bring the ship in." Jenn shouted to them.

"Ya well get ready, we're entering the shipwreck part pretty soon so get ready to move!" Hiuko shouts from up top.

Jenn gripped the wheel tightly, and looked out ahead. "Ready!" she shouted to Hiuko. "Everyone else ready!?"

Hiuko slid down one of the ropes and tied his life rope to a handle on the mast and pulled it to make sure it was on tight. "My life ropes secure." He said making his way back up to the crows nest.

"Ok, then. Tell me where to go then, Hiuko!" Jenn shouted.

Luke grabs a bottle of rum as he ties himself to the mast "im ready i guess"

"Me too" came ahab's voice from the back of the ship.

Jenn's eyes widened as she saw huge rocks up ahead. "Quickly, please!"

"We'll need quarter sails to get through here, and Jenn we've got a wreck on port side about 10 meters out and another starboard about, the same distance so keep straight. I'll tell ya if one drifts infront of us." Hiuko yells from the crows nest looking around at all the debris and rocks shifting about in the water.

Jenn's eyes started to widen as Hiuko told her of all the stuff up ahead. "Just keep calm. It's not that bad." She muttered to herself.

Hiuko sniffed the wind and felt his hair move in the breeze and yelled. "Jenn the winds blowin so try and go diaganolly starboard to avoid any drifting debris!"

Jenn quickly did as Hiuko said. "How does the ship look now?" Jenn questioned him nevously.

"Good for now, the port is pretty far though so just keep her steady." Hiuko responded.

"Gotcha!" Jenn shouted to him. "How is everyone else doing?"

"Um....I ment the pirate strong hold "shipwreck cove" not the supply island "shipwreck cove". We pirates really need to think of more original name sfor our places." J said watching all the commotion when he relised this. "Oh well where almost at dock anyway."

"well at least its not called skull island" Ahab laughed.

"Don't speak too soon, Ahab." Jenn warned him.

"Well There aren't any good tools on the regular supply island shipwreck cove. So I'm taking us to the stronghold." Hiuko shouted down to J. "I mean honestly, the people of the supply island wouldn't let us dock there anyway because of what we did last time. Well, some of us anyway."

"Huiko i say we need to dock." J floated his suppirority.

"Will someone please make up their mind because the worst is yet to come up ahead." Jenn said.

"Ok second mate, listen to the the look out or the captian its up to you." J smirked.

"Just keep going to the port." Hiuko flipped his map the other way around. "Seems I had the map the wrong way. Don't know what port that is though."

"Ok, thank you." Jenn said as she started steering some.

"Keep her steady Jenn. It may not be shipwreck cove but there's plenty of debris." Hiuko said watching the ships movements carefully.

Jenn looked up ahead at a boulder and saw skeletons upon it. "Are you sure, Hiuko?"

Hiuko took a sniff of the air and said. "Yup, look have I run into land yet?" Then the wind started to pick up a bit more and the boat along with the trail of debrisless water moved to the right and there were no rocks in the path. Yet. "Just keep steady and I'll make sure we don't run land." Hiuko said with a smirk looking around for rocks and reefs and thinking of all the possibilities of movement.

"Just keep a close eye!" Jenn replied.

"If not me then who." Hiuko said as more of a statement than a question.

"Everyone who's one this ship!" Jenn shouted in irritation and nervousness.

"Pipe down.." BOOM! J was busy blowing apart huge boulders that might get in their way with his wildcard.

"J.." Jenn whispered to the captain. "Personally, I think you're just making for debris."

"Start drifting to port side." Hiuko yelled from the crows nest a bit before the wind started blowing to the left.

"prepari to dock." j announced.

Hiuko noticed a stay piece of wreckage in the water and threw a hammer at it from all the way in the crows nest. It gathered enough energy going downward to split the board in two and sink it. "Aye, aye," He said getting to work on the sails watching the wreckage to make sure they didn't hit anything.

"Here we go," Jenn said as she did as she was told.

J took the docking rope and swung out onto the landing. "Youl find me at the armory shop i need a tune up for the wildcard."

"I'll be around. I've got a couple things to do 'round 'ere so if you need me go find someone else." Hiuko said coming down to the deck and walking off into the port.

Luke is in a coma.

"Jen would you like to join me?" J glanced back over his shoulder.

Hours later when the sun is starting to set.
Hiuko walks back on the ship with two very large an heavy boxes of tools. He brings them down to his smithing room and doesn't even bother taking them out. He goes up to the crows nest and starts to catch some shut eye while the captain is still away.

A huge explosion rocks the ship to and fro knocking Huiko from the lookout nest. It had J written all over it.

"Hi J!" Hiuko yelled from the crows nest lazily to J. He just barely fell out and quickly got into the small bed he had there. The smiths room was just were he worked besides the crows nest so he didn't sleep there. The crows nest is where he chose to sleep since his bed was there and there was a sort of roof above him, built mostly to keep the sun out of the lookouts eyes but it worked to keep rain out too.

"Bahahaahahaha! Huiko you have to come see this thing!" J was touting his wildcard waving it frantically in the air, wich seemed to be as usual.

"What now? Don't you think that thing's powerful enough yet?" Hiuko said getting up and grabbing his rope to slide down. When he got down he put his hand out to retrieve the gun. He knew taking the gun would be a bad idea considering it was J.

J jerked back defensivly, "No way man! i just got some new ammo that is a gel version on of nitro glicerin!...and i got it rigged to fire normal lead balls as well..you know just in case i dont need to blow somthing to smitherines.." J stroked the weapon as if it was a pet.

Hiuko went blank from what J said. Hiuko took the gun away so fast that J wouldn't be able to stop him and then he took out the nitro to check if it was real. "Who the heck is stupid enough to give you nitro." Hiuko shook his head in disbelief as he gave the wildcard back to J with the nitro back in it. "Honestly J." Hiuko said shaking his head as he stared climbing back up. "So is that all you did in town?" Hiuko said while climbing up.

"um well no, the brothel was open but i passed it up after talking to the girls there...ughly! The i went to the bar to gather any talk about some treasure or a military ship transporting anything." J gave sly smile. "I heard somthing quite interseting."

"Well you went to the wrong part of town. The brothel on the other side of town had some good looking girls. I however have self-restraint and priority of where my money goes. I got some info too though, from my forge buddies on this island." Hiuko shrugged and slid down the rope again since he had only gotten a quater of the way up. "So, you first. What've ya got?"

"A few ships have gone missing around a cluster of islands south of here..just dissapeared in a fog. U?" J asked interested.

"I got some info on the egg we got, and I've got new of a ship with military payroll going to one of the most heavily gaurded towns. It leaves tomarrow and the town is a good few days away. If we tail it for about half tomarrow we should be in open seas so that no ship or town should see us grab it." Hiuko said with a smirk. "We could go get the disappearing ships after that because the ship's leaving on the marrow, but fog that takes ships usually stick around."

"I like your idea. Lets get a good nights rest, cant plunder on 10 winks...but what about the egg now?" J riased an eyebrow

"The egg should hatch in about a week or so." Hiuko said plainly. "Also, we need a lot of fish for when it hatches, about a ton. Apperently the mother eats the baby when it hatches and the baby feeds on the food in the mothers stomach and get regurgitated when it eats its fill and then learns how to hunt for its own food on its own." Hiuko shrugged, "Since no one will eat it and has enough fish inside them for it to eat, we need about 1 ton of fish."

"damn..and i just wanted a pet...Where are we gonna get a ton of fish?" J tapped his temple in thought. "I guess we could hold up a fishing vessel."

"That's okay with me. Fishermen are usually chickens when they have a real fight on their hands." Hiuko said leaning against the mast.

"Sounds good, but we have to wait for the rest of the crew before we ship out." J shrugged.

"Aye, aye. I'll be asleep." Hiuko said before climbing back up to the crows nest. He knew though it wouldn't be long before J blew a casket and started to make a ruckas again.

J shrugged and started to blow seagulls out of the sky again.
