The Left Palm

The left palm is unjustly ignored by many palm readers, particularly those who ply their trade in saloons. In many ways this palm is much more revealing of one's personality than is the right one.

The first thing to do is see what letter of the alphabet is formed by the major lines in the palm. This letter will tell you how you like your pizza. If the letter you see is an M (as illustrated) it means you like mushrooms and meatballs as a pizza topping; an A stands for anchovies, an S stands for sausage, and an N stands for nothing (or just cheese).

Line (A) on the left hand represents how long your useful life will last. It corresponds to the life line on your right hands but it almost always is shorter, because at some point you will no longer be of any use to your family or your society.

Line (B) is your material possession line. If it is long and deep, then so will be your association with and affection for material goods. A fading in the line represents a temporary spell of lethargic consumer activit; a break in the line indicates bankruptcy. Hash marks (G) on the (B) line represent major cah outlays - marks that meet the (B) line but do not cross it indicates palpable purchases (a house, a car, a painting), while marks that cross the (B) line indicate great amounts of money spent for no apparent reason (children's tuition, $500-a-plate political dinners, dog obedience courses).

The meaning of line (C) os contained in a letter that was given to the Pope in 1937 by a group of Belgian school children who claimed to have been visited by the Blessed Virgin. No Pope since that time has felt that the world is ready for the contents of the letter.

Line (D) represents your willingness to pick up the check after dinner. If it is red and throbbing, it means you should at least try to pick up the check every once in a while.

Line (E) represents your political learning. It should be read from top to bottom. Generally, this line moves from left to right, with a markedly vicious swerve to the right in old age. Abrupt jumps in the direction of the line represents galvanizing issues. Breaks in the line indicate brief flings with third-party politics.

Line (F) is your credit line. Consult it before you consult the (D) line.
