Aftertaste
----------

What would melancholy look like?
If you could bottle it?
A liquid of the deepest darkest blue
It stains the glass that holds it
Slowly corroding
Seeping in
In the same way
As it does to my soul, my core
And constantly tries to choke me
This carnivore elixir
Fates chains bind me
Im forced to swallow yet more
Sometimes i can spit it out
But it still leaves its bitter aftertaste.

Bind
----

Bind me and lock me away
Lest any of me spill out
That a glimmer of my suffering should show
That my pain might be known.

Nothing
-------

Beauty cannot touch me
The suns warmth cannot touch me
Things that should make me smile
Make me wince, turn away
Or wonder why i feel so broken
Theres next to nothing
Nothing where my positive emotions should be
But their just not there
Always so ellusive....

Attack
--------

Black beast stalking
Along and around the corridors of my mind
Its claimed me for its territory
Theses wounds will not heal overnight
The fragments that are left of me
I keep in a box i hide away
From the world in full armour
Armed to the teeth

Unrest
--------
I want to sleep
But nothing it seems will ease
The unrest in my bruised soul
Pain with with its raw edge
Cuts me in two again and again
Left for fates crows
I could just weep so hard and for so long
Sometimes so deep in unshakable hiraedd
My sword arm is so weary
I lie there tormented
Protecting my small flame
My wounds that never cease smarting
That nothing and no one will plug.

Twist
=====

All around me
The cold shadows
And cries of destiny
Even good memmories are tainted
Are worse than the bad
The contrast stings and taunts
Mocks the present situation
Heavy is my heart and my head
Choked with dry tears
And the scars on my back
They remind me
Of what i can never forget

My heart is heavy
My body weary
My head pounding
And my eyes teary

Journey
=======

Inspiration is thin on the ground
Devoid in the disquiet that resounds
Rolls around my misery brain
Devoid in my ache, my pain
Thrown about on its rough sea
Battling on my small craft
Waves of torment, of torture
Smash and claw at me
Sailing through eternity.

Value

Smarting always smarting
Hurting always hurting
This wound in my existence
Its pain lances and slices
In a choking mix of disenchantmeant and disconnection
I could weep uncontrollably
My keening would be heard down the centuries
From the world ve lost, losing, lost faith in
Has dropped so far in any regard i might have felt
And i am bitterly tired
Fighting suicide battles
Just to get anywhere
Wincing with every movement and everything i see.

Falling

Its raining outside and inside my head
Feels like im dying
Feels like im dead
It drips acidic on my dead dying soul
Disenchanted and no longer whole
Broken and of lead.

Rest (assassins conscience)
=======
I faded out into the night
The air was cool
The moon slight
The dark is my ally
The clouds my friend
Dressed in moonlight
To my favourite rooftop i ascend
To think and breathe
To soothe my soul
Sat at this height
Nothing can touch me
A smile crosses my face but its lost in the breeze.

Faded fragment

I faded out into the night
Better that then continuing to fade in your life.

Slight
======
You scathe me with what you say
Not one hint of our former love can be traced
And im dodging the blows
As your mouth forms them
The same that from once came passion
Now comes sour turbulance
You lash out at me
Because i represent everything you cant cope with in reality
