The Marktplein
Ao's face first starts to grow slightly redder, and then, she bursts out laughing. Her arms lean on her knees as she can't controll her laughter. She continues to laugh, but then takes deep breaths of air but still manages to giggle. She then says, "Ha-ha...I should really introdushe ye to mah friend, Keyli, she also 'as a British accent. But ze reason...ha-ha...why I'm laughing ish because zatz exactly whot Keyli wuld say!" Ao then takes another deep breath and smiles back at them. "And no prob. I wos just askin, and I saw a shmall booth over zere wiz croshes. By ze way, I'm Ao, a Duree Vampire. And who are ye?" she asks, figiting with the cross around her neck.
Desya shivered the moment Ao appeared. the mention of crosses brought a rather violent involentary twitch that tremmored throughout his entire body, his face paled and he frantically looked for somewhere to take cover. out of instinct he darted behind Gregory, because he had known him longer, from behind the male he appologized in even worse english than he normally spoke, due to his terror, "i. . . i-i s-sorrry. . . et's. . . e-et's . . . i-i'm sorrry. . .!!" he couldn't bring himself to say anything else audible, so he went silent. he felt bad for taking cover behind someone he hardly knew, but Desya couldn't help it, the very site of a cross made him want to run. . .
Ao stopped smiling, and a tint of confusion trickled all over her face. Absolute terror was coming of the small boy in waves. She could smell it. He was obviously afraid--no--terrified of something. 'Ze crosh...' she thought. She then gently took it off her neck and stuffed it in her pocket. She then grabbed something else from the same pocket, and took out was looked like blue bubblegum. "'Ere kid..." she reasured, "'ere's some candy. Et's really good, and I'm shorry I scared ye." Ao then gently reached out with the bubblegum in her hand, and a joyful smile on her face. ((yoo'd expect pictures of muffins all around her of something oO)).
Desya eyed Ao and the candy suspiciously, not about to trust this questionable blue object she held out to him, and he was slightly offended at being called a 'kid' he, at 22, was certantly no child.
Gregory smirked. "Trying to console him with candy, are we? That tends to only work on the real young uns. And by the way, dearie, it's Australian, not British. But don't worry, I get it all the time," he said, smiling genially.
"Aushtralian..." Ao mutters. She then looks carefully at the bubblegum an then to the...wait a minute...that's not a child, Ao quickly realizes. She recoils and bows over and over to the men in front of her saying," Oi! Oi! I'm shorry!I'm shorry! zich verontschuldigen(I'm sorry)! Please forgive me!"
Desya stopped cowering behind Gregory, but still stood close next to him, watching Ao and Gregory silently.
Gregory felt a bit awkward; Desya was practically clinging to him like a fly to flypaper. To Ao he said, "Erm, yer vision's not to good, is it mate? Not quite dark enough yet to blame it on that..."
Ao sighs. "Ja. Shince I'm a very old Duree Vampire, and I've been out in ze shun for sho long, I'm not efected by et, but I think I'm growing too old to notish anything else," Ao replies, finally calming down.
"So!" she says, "wot are ye two doing?? Just pokin around and seeing wot they 'ave? I was thinkin of buying shom shtraberry pockey..."
