The Padawan Training Room

Pads line the floor, and many practice sabers hang on the wall. This large room is home to the padawans who wish to practice their skills in a safe environment.

Vic-tus walks in to the chambers and kneels to the floor to study the room with his mind, before moving to the sabers to hone his skills with the blade.

P'yativ ran into the room taking note of Vic-tus and nodding to him. Then he twirled around to face the entrance with his legs shoulder width apart and lightsaber hilt in his right hand, waiting for Alina.

Alina walked in, slower than P'yativ, her lightsaber at the ready. She took a stance putting her low, her torso almost parallel to the floor, her legs bent and widely spread.

P'yativ ignited his lightsaber, the black blade sizzling to life and held it pointed away to the right with his left hand curled behind his back holding his black cape out of the way.

With the hilt pointed behind her, Alina narrowed her eyes slightly. She knew she was smaller and not as powerful, however she was confident in her ability to at least hold her own against him.

P'yativ observed Alina ready herself and went on the attack. He flipped into the air and landed withing striking distance of Alina.

Igniting her green saber, Alina moved her lightsaber reflexively into a blocking position and touched the ground with her other hand.

P'yativ stabbed his lightsaber above hers aiming for her head.

Alina swept her lightsaber upwards, easily blocking his attack. She swung out at his legs in the same movement, standing a bit, ready to throw herself back out of his reach.

P'yativ leapt into the air again, slapping Alina's lightsaber away from himself as he sailed over her head.

Her lightsaber moving smoothly in between herself and P'yativ, Alina rolled away from him, landing on her feet, lightsaber at the ready. With a wave of her hand, a second saber came from the wall, winging its way to her. She caught it, twirled and ignited it, both sabers pointed backwards as she crouched low. Where she was no match for him in strength, she could defend herself with speed.

P'yativ landed and spun around to face Alina, tightening his grip on his lightsaber. He scrutinzed the second lightsaber and laughed good-naturedly at the expression on Alina's face before pacing forward slowly and deliberatly while attacking with a rapid flurry of cuts and swings.

The sabers parallel with her forearms, Alina easily blocked all of his attacks, keeping herself low and only moving back a few steps. Her eyes suddenly closed and she dropped to her back on the floor, the sabers in an x across her chest, protecting her from any more blows he might make while she was unconcentrated. Her twin lekkus twitched violently before she rolled over and kneeled, her lightsabers up. "Sorry," she said quickly. "I keep forgetting the sheer amount of energy this place has. Almas was never this...busy."

P'yativ held back the blow he was about to deliver and dipped his lightsaber slightly in confusion. "What's wrong, Alina?" he asked slightly suspicious that this might be a trick.

Alina cringed again as another mental assault hit her. "Nothing really," she gasped. "Having trouble blocking the energy around me. Master Yoda is supposed to be helping me with it." She stopped talking and shook her head violently. She stood again, her lightsabers low, and shrugged at him. "Sorry about that."

P'yativ grinned and said sarcastically "I'm sure it's nothing." Withdrawing his lightsaber, he asked earnestly "What sort of 'energy' is this?"

Vic-tus sat there studing there movements of the cat and mouse game he see's before him. keeping a close eye on the revirse bladed style of the twi'lek girl *she is better than i thought* he thinks *faster then she looks, so frail but vishis* he starts to circle the ring were thay are fighting. *this man there is some thing strange about his style there is more darkness in him than he knows, maybe i can use this..., block, strike, block, strike, he is not fast enuf to slay her, i wonder if he knows this he is not studing her movements..* as she loses her gard he begins to clap his hands and walk up to the two of them. "Good, good... you both know how to use a lightsaber well i rather enjoyed the show." he say's to them

P'yativ felt a pang of annoyance at Vic-tus's attitude and his interruption of their conversation, cutting off Alina before she could answer. He turned to Vic-tus with a glare but quickly forced a smile. "P'yativ," he said introducing himself. "I'm glad you liked our little game," he continued and held out his hand.

Shutting her sabers down, Alina looked over at Vic-tus before turning back to P'yativ. "It's the meticlorians. I hear them much more strongly than most other people." She turned to Vic-tus. "If that was a compliment, thank you." Her tone was rather brisk as she backed towards the wall to replace the lightsaber she had taken down.

P'yativ followed Alina. "Where to now? Should we speak with someone about..." he trailed off awkwardly.

Alina looked at him. "About what?" She hung her own lightsaber from her belt and reached up to tighten her headdress.

"Your trouble with the meticlorians," P'yativ finished.

"I'll have to talk to Master Yoda about that." Alina rubbed at the arm she had rolled on. "I'm not sure if he'll talk with us right now, though. In the meantime, is there anything else you want to do?"

"Well," P'yativ began as he shifted his weight with a grin, "Surely the Republic needs us to be somewhere in the Galaxy besides this training room."

Alina looked at him. "We can go ask one of the masters, I suppose. I can go anywhere, but I don't know about you."

Leaping away, P'yativ pretended to deal an imaginary battle droid a killing lightsaber chop. "I won't be prevented from going anywhere where there are Seps waiting to be sliced!" he declared with a laugh but carrying an undertone of seriousness.

With a smile, Alina pulled a paper from one of the pouches on her belt. "Actually, I did get a summons from Master Kenobi to meet him later today. I think he has a mission for the visiting padawans. Since that's only me, I'm not sure what's going on."

Vic-tus "you will have to forgive me, i'm not used to being around 'living' people, but any way's you two fight well. I'm glad that not just any joe-blow can just come in here" "Oh by the way my name is Vic-tus Evans" he say's with a bow

"Living people?" P'yativ wondered outloud as he returned Vic-tus's bow. Seeing Alina's paper, curiousity bubbled up inside of him and he ran around to stand behind Alina and peered over her shoulder at the document, attempting to read it.

The paper itself was merely a quickly written message for Alina telling her to meet Master Kenobi in the council chambers later that day. She looked over at Vic-tus. "Hello, Vic-tus. I am Alin'adev. Most simply call me Alina, though." She passed the paper to P'yativ. "If you want to come, I'm inviting you to join me. I'm sure Master Kenobi won't mind."

P'yativ gave Alina an incredulous look. "If you want to come..." he mimicked sarcastically, "well of course I want to!" he then exclaimed with a grin. "I'm sure he wouldn't fault us for being early either..." P'yative suggested.

With a laugh, Alina took the paper and put it back into her belt pouch. "I don't foresee that he would have a problem with that." She glanced over at Vic-tus. "You can come along as well, though I'm not going to say you must."

Anxiously, P'yativ tugged on Alina's arm. "Come on, let's go find him!" he pleaded.

Placing a calming hand on P'yativ, Alina sent strong, soothing thoughts into his mind as she calmed her own. Her twin lekku twitched and she closed her eyes. In a voice that was deeper and airy, she lifted her chin slightly and spoke. "He's walking through the Grand Entrance Hall." She opened her eyes again, returning to her normal state. "Let's go."

As if running a race, P'yativ dashed away on the word "go" and was gone.

Alina laughed and followed him at a slower pace. Once more being behind didn't seem to bother her much.

Vic-tus *so this is what it must mean to be happy* starts to walk after them "he seems to have a light heart" saying to Alina.
