The Pirate King by R.A Salvatore review
aka the most cursed book I've ever set my hands on.
Srsly. I bought it 3 times. Two in english and one in greek because I kept losing it! I finally managed to finish it yesterday on the train to Thessaloniki and I have to say I'm way excited about it.
It's the second book in transitions and the 18th in the Legend of Drizzt series. It is filled with action and it will be a great read if you're already a fan of Drizzt. If you haven't read anything else in the L.o.D I suggest you start by another book because this will make no sense or move you if you don't know the story.
The chronology:
The Dark Elf trilogy
1. Homeland
2. Exile
3. Sojourn
The Icewind Dale trilogy
4. The Crystal Shard
5. Streams of Silver
6. The Halfling's Gem
Legacy of The Drow series
7. The Legacy
8. Starless Night
9. Siege of Darkness
10. Passage to Dawn
The Paths of Darkness series
11. The Silent Blade
12. The Spine of The World
12a. Servant of The Shard (was moved to The Sellswords trilogy)
13. The Sea of Swords
The Hunter's Blades series
14. The Thousand Orcs
15. The Lone Drow
16. The Two
The Transitions series
17. The Orc King
18. The Pirate King
19. The Ghost King
All in all it is fully up to the high standards RAS has set in his previous novels about Drizzt although it is a bit slow through the political parts. I loved it and can't wait to get my hands on the next one in the series!
