The Time Keeper; Mitch Albom review

I'm actually not entirely sure what to think of this book.

The premise is that there are three main characters: Dor, an ancient man who climbs the tower of Babel in order to speak with god; Sarah, a high school senior who is constantly picked on; and Vincent, a man dying of cancer who is extremely rich and wants to have eternal life.

I won't say much more because it's rather short and I don't want to spoil anything, but the main reason why I'm on the fence about this books was because it seems too simple to me but I'm not sure if that was a downfall for it or not. I had an emotional response to it, and while the writing was simple and it was short and quick with little to no description, I'm not sure if I disliked that or not.

I suppose what I really need is to hear other people's thoughts on this books before I can say one way or another if I was a big fan or if I wasn't.
