This book made me cry. I think it is amazing how Brooks manages to steal away inside the mind of a teenage girl and his writing emphasises every thought and feeling. Even with the first page, tears are flowing down my face.

Call Me Elizabeth by Dawn Annadale

I sobbed with this book. I sobbed the tears that Dawn could not shed. She doesn't describe her emotions in this memoir, but she doesn't need to. You can feel her fear and trauma flowing through her veins and into her amazingly graceful words.
