Tortuga
Sarah and Sally were boared on the Black Rose, they pulled the ship up to a dock in Tortuga.
Sally walked to the railing and leaned against it, "All hands on deck!"
Every member of the crew ran up to the main deck. They stood around, waiting for the capitain to speak.
Sarah stepped forward, "We will be reloading supplies. You men and women are free to wander for the remainder of the two weeks that we will be here," her crew cheered," However," the word cut the crew's yelling to a stop for the moment, "stay near. Those navy dogs are stil after us. Help load load the ship and you all can go." She turned to Sally, sighing, "Do you think they'll listen?"
Sally grinned, "As they always do Sarah. You're a fair captain and good one too."
Sarah smiled, "Funny, Sally. Siren and Artemis are getting closer every time. Soon I will have to let the whole crew go regardless of the code." She stared down at the water.
Sally walked over beside her friend and Captain, "Well, if it comes to that, know that I'll be there."
Sarah looked up surpised, "But you told my father that you wouldn't stick around if those navy dogs tried to catch you."
Sally smirked, "Well I guess grown attached to this ship and it's owner."
Sarah slugged Sally in the arm, laughing, "Well, well, who's becoming a softie?"
Sally laughed, "Just don't tell anyone."
Sarah nodded, "of course, well, let's go load up on the supplies."
They walked down the plank and onto the dock, each grabbing a box along with the rest of the crew.
Sally looked at on of the barrels, "Rum?"
Sarah grinned herself, "Of course."
Sally laughed, as well as some of the crew members.
They kept loading the ship until it was dusk and headed to a tavern.
Walking in the Tavern, Jaden began yelling, "Captain, captain....SAR
AH! where are you?"
Sarah turned around, she was sitting at the bar beside Sally, who was grabbing a mug from the bartender. "Over here, Jaden! What is it?" She smiled.
"I was just lookin for the two of you thats all" Jaden said smiling. "Bartender a mug for me too" he added.
"Who's you two?" Sally turned around on the stool; she looked at Jaden, "Who is this?"
"Jaden, he's part of the crew. He just joined," Sarah explained to Sally.
Sally looked Jaden up and down, "Whatever you say. You're the captain." SHe took a sip out of her mug.
"Oops i thought i had already been introduced" Jaden said scratching his head before taking a heavy drink form his mug.
Sally shook her head, "Sally, first mate."
"Ah i dont know what position i am i haven't been assigned one yet" Jaden said smiling.
Sarah smirked, "Just choose one, I'll see if it's full or not."
Sally shook her head, chuckling.
"I don't know what to pick" Jaden said smirking a little.
"Helsman, navigator, cook, first mate," Sarah glanced at Sally, smirking over her drink.
Sally narrowed her eyes playfully, "Or captain."
"Er....umm... i guess....I don't know i'm a theif not a driver or map maker" Jaden said taking another heavy drink out of fustration and handing his mug back to be refilled.
Sally smirked, "Then be a thief..Do you know how to use a sword?"
"Of course, one of the best you'll every find" Jaden said taking his drink from the bartender smirking a little.
"Then you're our new swordsman," Sally chugged down her beer and got up.
Sarah nodded her head and walked over to a table that held a part of the crew.
"Ok then but i will need a new one mine is pretty beaten up" Jaden said holding it out so Sally could see. "See what i mean its about to break."
Sally pulled out her cane. She grabbed the skull that sat on the top, and tugged on it. IT came off and revealed a long, thin blade. She glanced at the blade, "Mine is as well. I know someone who can fix it and get you a new one." SHe paid the bartender for her's and Jaden's drinks. She headed toward the door.
"Alright lets go" Jaden said following her out the door. "So who is this guy anyway?"
Sally chuckled darkly for a moment before smirking, "Uh...An old friend."
"Uh that's not scary" Jaden said sarcastically.
"I know," Sally smirked, "Just don't talk to him, ok?"
"Uhhh sure" Jade said even more worried now.
Sally walked up a hill to a small hut hidden by a grove of trees and paused at the door, "Second thought, give me your sword."
"There is no way i am letting you go in there by yourself" Jaden said concealing a small dagge in his bandanna.
Sally sighed, getting slightly annoyed, "I know this guy better than...well anyone. He kinda raised me, he just doesn't like random people that's all."
"Ok but i'm still not letting you go alone I won't say anything but i will still go with you" Jaden said scowling.
Sally sighed, "Why do you care?"
"Because Sarah would kill me if i let anything happen to you. And i'm a part of the crew too" Jaden said smiling now.
Sally laughed, "If I get killed, Sarah wouldn't care. It's how it is. It's how we are, we mourn and move on. And you may be part of the crew, but I'm not. I'm only temporary." Sally smirked to herself.
"What? How can you pe a temporary part of the crew" Jaden asked slightly confused.
"An agreement," Sally shook her head, "I made a promise to someone and I belong to another crew. which I have a feeling will be coming back soon."
"The navy or another pirate crew?" He asked perplexedly. "Well none the less we need to get our blades fixed now we can finish talking later. Now shall we go" Jaden said opening the door for Sally to go in.
"A pirate crew," Sally smirked, grabbing his sword and closing the door before he could get in. It was the only way to get into the hut.
"Eugh that girl gets on my damn nerves" Jaden said storming off back to the bar.
20 minutes later
Sally opened the door carrying a new sword and her cane. She put her cane over her shoulder and walked back to the bar. She put the new sword in front of Jaden, "Sorry, but I had to do that."
".....thanks" Jaden Said still upset about what she had done.
"At least look at it," Sally grinned.
"Whats so differen....." Jaden said looking at the blade, "what did he do?"
"It's a totally new blade!" Sally grinned, "Doubled plated steel with a gold engraved handle...Beautiful."
"It's nice...but what was wrong with tha blade that i had was it just too badly beaten" Jaden asked admiring the workmanship.
"Nothing, it's the same sword. He just redid it, sort of," Sally grinned as she sat down.
"Really" Jaden said in disbeleif, "how could he get this with my raggedy old sword?"
"He's a genius," Sally replied, grabbing a mug of beer.
"He must be if he could do both of our swords this well in only twenty minutes" Jaden said taking a mug as well, "i was expecting it to take atleast half the day."
"It's night and yeah, he's quick," Sally grinned, done with her mug.
"Damn i didn't know anyone could do a job this well that quick" Jaden said slicing his napkin in to by dropping it on it. "It's sharp too!" He blurted with excitement.
Sally laughed loudly, "It's supposed to be." She reached for another mug.
"Yeah i suppose...well i think i've had enough for one night i need to practice with this" Jaden said walking towards the door.
"Alright," Sally downed her mug, standing up. A man put his hand on her shoulder, Sally flipped him into the wall next to the door across the tavern, "HANDS OFF, YOU BLOODY PIRATE!!" She frowned and straightened her blouse. She then payed the bartender, grinning. She walked in a not so straight line to the door.
"Well i was going to ask if you wanted to spar, but you are too drunk to hope to even stand a chance" Jaden said laughing.
"Don't let this fool you. I can see straight and spar just fine. PLus I don't spar, I kill," Sally grinned.
"Good luck with me with that..." Jaden said smiling. "Unless he rigged my sword that is."
Sally grinned, "What I mean is I only fight to protect and if I do, I usually end up killing my opponent."
"Well i only kill when its ablolutely necisarry" Jaden said holding the door open for her.
"Thank you," Sally smiled, she walked down to the docks.
"Well you wanna bunk down for the night then" Jaden asked sighing from boredom.
Sally laughed, "I'm not going to the ship. We don't sleep there, we sleep at the inn. I'm headed elsewhere."
"Ok well i'm going to try and find a sparring partner it's no fun without some blood involved.." Jaden said with a sadistic grin.
"Good luck, most men nad women are tto drunk to fight, let alone stand up alone," Sally grinned back at Jaden.
"Eh I'll just find some beast in the forest to sharpen my skills on" Jaden said smiling.
Sally laughed, "There aren't any. All animals are trapped and used as food or pets."
"SO there is absolutely nothing in the forest then?" Jaden said confused.
Sally grinned, "Pretty much."
"Well damn i guess i'm goin to bed then there is nothin else to do until we leave port" Jaden said sighing, "where is the inn we are staying at i have no idea?"
Sally grinned, "Well, while you sleep, I'm going swimming." She pointed down the road, "It's right on the corner."
"You know what that sounds like more fun to me anyway i need to get some form of exercise in today" Jaden said laughing a little.
"Who invited you?" Sally grinned, teasingly.
"I don't have to go with you, there is a whole ocean to swim in if i must" Jaden said sarcastically.
"Good to know," Sally grinned, she walked off the dock, her heels clicking on the wood. She headed down the dirt road, she turned back, "You coming or what?"
"Oh so now i'm invited am I...." Jaden said laughing a little before following.
"Well," Sally mocked sighed, " I'd rather not be repsonsible for you drowning." She grinned.
"Don't worry, I'm probably a better swimmer than you" Jaden said laughing again only harder this time.
"I'm going to relax, not race," Sally said.
"Racing doesn't prove anything but one is faster not better" Jaden said smiling.
Sally smiled softly and started walking down the road again, leaving Jaden to follow her.
Running up to her, Jaden said smiling, "What you don't have anything to say to something" finally
"Just don't feel like talking sometimes," Sally said softly, her voice was starting to hurt from the day.
"Ok well i'm in the mood to swim how about you..." Jaden said walking ahead then stopping, "Where are we going again."
"To the beach," Sally smiled, still walking.
"Ok to the beach....how do we get there?" Jaden asked blushing because of his ignorant state.
Sally laughed and nodded to down the road.
"Thanks..." Jaden said taking off down the road like a child.
Sally grinned, "He's gonna get lost. I didn't tell him which turn to take." She chuckled.
"Yelling from the fork in the road, Jaden asked, "Which way do i go!?!"
Sally grinned as she turned the corner, and walked across the road and down the small hill.
Following her, Jaden asked smiling, "why didn't you just tell me..."
"Where's the fun in that?" Sally grinned as she started walking on sand. She went over to a log, she took off her boots and her corset and leaned her can up against the log. She reached up and took off her headband.
Walking up to the log as well,Jaden took off his boots, his shirt, sword and holster, and Headband as well before running to the water like a toddler to his mother.
Sally laughed and took off her shirt to reveal a small white tank top. SHe walked over to the sea and let the waves crash onto her feet before walking in.
"Why are you laughing at me" Jaden yelled from farther out in the water.
Sally just had a peaceful expression on her face as she let the waves carry her. She laid back and rested, sighing.
Jaden, sure he would get an answer, dove down and swam to her under the waves popping back up right beside her laughing saying, "Why did you laugh at me?"
Sally treaded water, giggling, "I wasn't laughing at you. I was just laughing." Sally smiled softly and floated once more.
"Sure you were" Jaden said sarcastically before diving back down.
Sally swam back to shore and laid on hte sand. The sand clung to her clothes and wet skin, but she didn't care, she just laid back and closed her eyes.
"Come back out" Jaden said pulling at her ankles playfully.
Sally sat up, smirking, but felt the sand clinging to her wet back, "Eww," she reached back and tried to get some of it off but couldn't. She looked at Jaden, and laid back down, mock pouting, "But I'm comfy..."
"Fine" Jaden said walking back to the waters edge and splashing her shouting, "Are you Comfy now...."
"Yup!" Sally shouted back, smiling.
"Well how's this then" Jaden said grabbing two big handfulls of sand and dropping them on her. "Ha what now.." He said playfully.
Sally grinned, "Even better." She reached up and pulled Jaden down to the ground beside, she laughed, covered him in sand, making it stick to him as well.
"EWWWW Its all gritty and sticky......" Jaden yelled like a little girl running down to the water to rinse it off.
Sally smiled and stood up, walking tot he water and brought the water up to her arms and legs, rising off the sand.
"I'll get you" Jaden said laughing while still rinsing off the sand.
Sally laughed, "For what? You're the one who splashed me with water and dumped sand on me first. That was just payback."
"I like coming out ontop" Jaden said smiling before pulling her farther out.
Sally shook her head and tugged Jaden's hands off, causing him to fall back into the water. She gasped and ran out of the water as fast as she could, giggling.
Swimming back up to her, Jaden asked being serious this time, "What you can't swim?"
"I can swim just fine, thanks though," Sally grinned, it didn't touch her eyes.
"Well why were you fighing me" Jaden asked curiously.
Sally smiled, "I just didn't feel like swimming. That's enough for one night."
Walking back to shore, Jaden said, "Yeah i think so too i'm getting tired."
Sally smiled and walked over to the log. She leaned against it, closing her eyes.
Sitting down beside her, Jaden asked, "Are you sleeping here?"
Sally smiled, "No, I just like this place. Most people don't come here."
"Yeah it is peacefull when i'm not here atleast" Jaden said smiling.
"It's peaceful anyways. Trust me, I've been around worse. Around you going to sit?" Sally chuckled.
"Yeah for a minute i guess" Jaden said sitting down beside her. "So why are you leaving after a while and who where those chicks that were after the captain i heard you and her talking about them i just can't remember there names."
"Ok, "Sally looked at him, "That's a lot of questions. Uh...ok, first...I'm not leaving for a while. I'm leaving for good, I belong to another crew. Two...there's a lot to that story that involves a whole histry lesson. But as simple as I can put it, is one of them is Captain Siren of the Navy. She's deadly to any pirate, got it?" Sally looked at Jaden, completely serious.
"I know you belong to another crew but why don't you just stay with us and this Siren is she specifically after our captain or just any pirates she comes across?" Jaden asked sighing.
"Becasue I love my other crew, it was lead by Captain Black, and if you don't know who that is, then I'm sorry, but you're dumb or deaf," Sally grinned, "And as for Siren, she hates all pirates."
"Ah well i have heard of them both just rumors though i heard he was the only one to cross blades with siren that lived..." Jaden said smiling, "but i'll be the next thats the whole reason i became a pirate was to test my skills against the best."
Sally had moved to sit on top of the log, but when she heard Jaden say that Captain Black was a man, she started laughing. She laughed so hard that she fell off the log, but she was still laughing.
"What I don't know much more than that i don't even know if black is a gu or girl i just said him guessin was I wrong..." Jaden said annoyed that she was laughing at him.
Sally finally caught her breath, "Yeah, Black's a woman." She tried to get up, "I could use a hand." She smiled.
"Ok so she is a woman" Jaden said helping her up, "Thats no reason to laugh at me though i didn't know...."
Sally laughed, "Yeah, but you'r right about her. She's ruthless, but she can be kind, if you know what button to press." She grinned. "Thanks."
"Yeah yeah did she really fight Siren though" Jaden said excitedly.
"Siren is her sister," Sally grinned, "ANd yes, she did."
"Wait they are sisters" Jaden said perplexed, " that is going to make her a beacon for Siren she wont stop with her will she...."
"Captain Black's name is Artemis. She and Siren are sister. Artemis is the older one. Artemis found by pirates, and Siren by the navy after a storm that their parents and the entire ship. But they survived. Artemis became Captain Black until she found her sister and she joined the Navy to be with her sister. But I have a feeling that Captain Black is coming back," Sally grinned, staring out at the ocean.
"Ah well so for now you are enemies but later you think she will become a pirate again..." Jaden said starring out to the sea.
"She never has been an enemy, she just follows her sister to make sure Siren doesn't get in over her head," Sally explained.
"So it's like an undercover type thing" Jaden said still starring at the ocean.
"No, it's more of a big sister kind of thing," Sally shook her head. She stood up and brushed some sand off of her and walked to the water's edge.
"What so she is keeping her little sisters ambitions in check then" Jaden said confused now.
Sally streached, revealing black lines across her back in ink, that twined together. "I think that's enough for one night." She smiled softly.
"What so now we are going back to town" Jaden said starting to stand up.
Sally looked back, "You can head back if you want. I'm staying here. Sunrise will be in a few hours. This is the best spot on the entire island," she grinned and sat back on the log, leaning back against one of its anceint, but sturdy roots.
"When are we leaving port i don't think we should stay here too long but it looks like it is going to storm soon..." Jaden said setting back down.
Sally grinned, "Two weeks, and that's storms nothing to worry about. We head inland when it comes. Nothing ever touched."
"Two weeks is a long time to stay in one port don't you think we should leave a bit sooner before Siren shows up..." Jaden asked.
Sally laughed, "Siren doesn't set foot on land. She loves the sea far to much."
"That doesn't make much sense to me she has to get supplies and it would make good sense to go to common port where known pirates went if she wants to irradicate us" Jaden said sighing, women i'll never understand....
"Siren isn't her natural name," Sally looked at the sea, "They call her that because she loves the sea." Sally looked at Jaden, "You know, most men would try to get a lot further than you right now or earlier. So who is she?" Sally grinned.
"Oh noone i just don't want to be caught on the unwelcoming side of that blade you are concealing...." Jaden said looking back out to sea.
Sally laughed, "Fine, here." She handed her cane to Jaden and looked at her tight, slightly wet white tank top and shorts, "I don' think I can hide a blade anywhere. You've got my only one. So spill." She grinned.
"I'm not so sure about that" Jaden said standing up.
Sally held out her arms, raising any eyebrow, "What? Do you want to do a body search?"
Smiling a bit, Jaden said, "Well you never know....."
Sally stood up, "Go right ahead. I swear I have no swords on me."
Walking up to her, Jaden put his hands around her waist and said smiling, "I know i just like messing with you...."
Sally smiled, "Funny..."
"Wasn't it though" Jaden said smiling.
Sally shook her head, laughing.
"Well i thought it was" Jaden said smiling.
Sally pulled out of his grasp and walked to the shoreline and sat down. The waves crashed on her feet, she smiled, looking out the twlight.
"Sitting beside her, Jaden said gazing at the ocean, "i wonder what the captain is doing...."
"Drinking....sleeping....I don't know. She's sixteen, who knows what's running through her head," Sally grinned.
"She is sixteen!?!" Jaden said in surprise.
Sally tapped her finger on her lips, "No..wait, oh that's right, she's seventeen." She smiled.
"Oh and that is so much better.." Jaden said laughing.
Sally grinned, "She a lot more capable than she sounds, despite her age. She's been a pirate longer than most. She was born a pirate, raised as a pirate, and wil die a pirate. That's all she knows, like me."
"But to be so young...." Jaden thought outloud.
Sally looked at Jaden, "Well, how old are you?"
"Twenty two" Jaden said smiling.
Sally laughed, "You're probably the second oldest of the crew."
"Ok so now i am old then..." Jaden said laughing.
Sally laughed, "Our helsman is older. He's Sarah's uncle. But you are older than me." She smirked and layed back in the sand.
"Only by two years" Jaden said smiling at her.
Sally leaned up on her elbows, "How did you know my age?"
"What I wasn't allowed to ask someone before we left the bar" Jaden said smiling.
Sally chuckled, "You could have just ask me. I would've told you." She laided back down.
"Maybe I didn't want to ask you" Jaden said smiling.
"Hmmm..." Sally said, closing her eyes, but opened them, leaning back up on her elbows, she looked curious, "You never answered my question. Why didn't you try anything? From what I hear, most men would love to be siting where you are."
"Not my thing to make the first move" Jaden said looking out to sea again watching the sun rise, "you know it really is truly beautiful here this time of day...."
"Not the traditional way, but ok, if you won't..." Sally pulled herself up and crawled over to Jaden, she turned his face to hers. She leaned close to him, "First move made, your turn." She smirked.
"I'm not very....traditional" Jaden said leaning in like he was going to kiss her. "Did you bring me out here because you liked me?" he whispered in her ear.
"No not then...you looked a bit like a lost puppy so I thought I would be nice...but you're growing on me," Sally smirked, leaning back.
"Well then i was....." Jaden said smiling moving closer to her.
Sally laid down, smirking, "Hmm.."
"I was like a lost little puppy at first but then i just went to see what kind of a person you were" Jaden said smiling.
"And what type am I?" Sally opened her eyes smirking.
"Well not the hard ass i first saw thats for sure" Jaden said laughing.
Sally laughed, "Don't let this fool you, cross me and it'll be the last thing you ever did."
"Don't worry i don't see me making that mistake" Jaden said laughing lightly.
"Good," Sally laughed, "I would hate to have to kill you."
"I don't see that happening either" Jaden said laughing more now.
"Good," Sally sat up slightly and looked up, aware of just how close her face was to Jaden's.
"What is there something on my face" Jaden said smiling.
Sally shook her head, "No.."
"Ah so you were expecting this then..." Jaden said as he leaned up and kissed her lightly.
Sally leaned forward into the kiss, smiling slightly.
smiling, Jaden thought to himself, whew i was half expecting her to slap me....
Sally pulled back, "Why did you kiss me?"
"The more important question is why didn't you even try to resist..." Jaden said smiling.
Sally narrowed her eyes playfully, "Don't answer my question with a question...."
"Why shouldn't I" Jaden said laughing.
Sally chuckled, "You need to shut up.." She leaned over, pressing her lips to his.
Well that is one way to do it Jaden thought kissing back.
Sally pulled, back smirking and layed back down.
"What am i that bad" Jaden said smiling.
Sally chuckled, "You don't ever shut up you ye?"
"....sometimes" Jaden said chuckling as well.
"Like now?" Sally sat up a bit.
"Yeah maybe...the sun is coming up should we be getting back to town soon?" Jaden asked smiling at her laying down.
Sally shrugged, "You can, I'm headed out for a bit. Sarah knows where to find me if anyone needs me." She looked at the sunrise on the horizon.
"I think i'm going to stay here for a while longer than get some sleep" Jaden said smiling.
Sally shrugged, standing up, and walking over to the log where her clothes were.
"Before you go," Jaden said standing up smiling, "come swimming with me for a little bit."
Sally peered back at Jaden, sighing, "Fine, I guess."
"Now you don't have to if you don't want to..." Jaden said smiling still.
Sally took Jaden's ahnd and headed toward the water, chuckling.
"Alright then that is a yes i am guessing" Jaden said smiling and taking off for the ocean as well dragging her now.
Salyl laughed, her hand now free and ran ahead of Jaden, diving under the waves.
"Ooh" Jaden said diving into the surf as well thinking, i wonder how this is going to turn out when she has to leave...
Sally came back up for air, treading water, bobbing up and down from the passing waves.
"Having trouble back there" Jaden said smiling bobbing behind her in the strong waves.
"No, I've fought off sharks and swam around for five hours, this is nothing," Sally laughed.
"Sharks......here I don't have anything on me so that could be a problem" Jaden said nervously.
Sally laughed, "Middle of the ocean, love...middle of the ocean."
"I just love the sea..." Jaden said smiling, "Well you wanna go out farther?" He asked grinning at her.
Sally smiled, "I'm good, I should probably go now, it's morning and Sarah expects all crew to report to her around sunrise and then I'm going to head out."
"Ok fin....something just bumped my foot" Jaden said looking around, "there it is again and it's pretty big...." he added pulling a small dagger from his belt.
Sally dove uner the water, an dcame back up, "It's a fish, relax." She playfully rolled her eyes, swimming back to shore.
"That is a big fish" Jaden said laughing at himself sheathing his dagger.
She climbed out of the water and shook her self off, getting free of the water, "Guess I'll have to change."
"Into what i didn't notice another set of clothes here" Jaden said smiling as he walked up onto the beach patting the bubbles from his shorts.
"I meant, make due," Sally laughed. (see image) "There," She smiled.
"Ah" Jaden said grabbing his pants and turning around to take his shorts off. While changing, he said, "I took what i needed off so ha" laughing a little.
Sally laughed, holding her wet clothes after sliding in her boots, "Yeah, I can tell," she turned back around, smiling.
Turning around finished dressing finally, Jaden said while slipping his boots on as well, "I'm suprised you didn't try to sneak a peek" before chuckling a little.
Sally chuckled, "I'm not that type of girl."
"Oh really well you are the first that hasn't" Jaden said laughing, "like i'm not the kinda guy you thought i was...people can surprise you" he added smiling grabbing her, "Now lets head back to town shall we"
Sally raised an eyebrow, "I'd let go of me if I were you...."
"What are you not going that way" Jaden said playfully as he grabbed his sword and tied the holster to him.
"I just don't like to be grabbed," Sally explained.
"Sorry then" Jaden said smiling.
"Just warn me if you are," Sally smirked, starting up the hill.
"But that's no fun" Jaden said smiling.
"Well next time, you won't be so lucky," Sally laugh.
"Remember you haven't seen me fight, and i've heard all about you and your captain.." Jaden said laughing
"You may have heard of us, but you don't even know how we truely fight. Remember what you hear is not always true," Sally smired, looking back at him, her boots hitting the dirt road.
"Maybe, but you can learn alot about someone from being with the mas well" Jaden said laughing slightly.
"Maybe, but no one's been able to crack me yet," Sally laughed.
"There is a first for everything" Jaden said laughing more.
"Not yet, you think you'll be able to do it?" Sally headed toward town.
"maybe you never know" Jaden said smiling walking beside her.
"Ah!" Sally held her ankle, taking off her boot, "Damn jellyfish..." She put her boot back on, sighing and stood back up.
"Are you ok!?!" Jaden yelled surprised.
"Just a jellyfish, I'll be fine. I know how to fix it," Sally waved him off.
"yeah i do to, but the way i was taught isn't that pretty" Jaden said snickering and turning around.
"I know a doctor in town, he's good and it's a cream that just makes it go down and less red," Sally said, shaking her head.
"Well that is alot better than what i was taught" Jaden said smiling, "they always told us to pee on it..."he added laughing.
"I know the other way," Sally said, as they walked into town.
"Yeah i found that out, but there wasn't a doctor really where i grew up it was just home remedies for everything..." Jaden said embarrased.
"Hmm..same here, Doc isn't really a doctor, he made everything for us, all of his own inventions," Sally smiled.
"And it works too" Jaden said smiling.
Sally headed toward a house on a dock, "You coming or headed to the tavern?"
"I'd might as well stick with you how much could it hurt" Jaden said smiling.
"Bite me," Sally muttered, opening the door.
"Don't say it unless you mean it" Jaden said smiling sadistically.
Sally stuck out her tounge.
"Better put that back in before it caugths flies or the young man gets it," an elderly man came out of the shadows, smiling softly, chuckling.
Sally smiled truely, "Doc, long time no see."
"Hi...my name is Jaden.
Doc nodded in his direction, turning back to Sally, "So what can I do for you Sally?"
"Stung by a jellyfish," Sally smirked.
"Ah," The doc waved his hand at a table, which Sally sat on and pulled off her boot. He walked over with a jar, and rubbed it on her leg, "Give it three days."
Sally nodded, "See you Doc." She grabbed Jaden's hand and headed to the tavern.
Doc shook his head, "God love her." He chuckled.
"Whoa now" Jaden said laughing, "where are we going..."
"To the tavern, where you and I will check in with Sarah," Sally chuckled, the tavern coming into sight.
"Alright, wait i don't see any of the crew around...." Jaden said slightly worried.
Sally shrugged, "They're probably either passed out, or still at the whore house." She walked in.
"Even the girl's..." Jaden said chuckling lightly.
"There are only two girls, Sarah and myself," Sally said.
"there is one more younger than you i think that is tryingto join....what was her name....." Jaden said trying to think of her name.
Sally laughed, "And who would that be?"
"Jocie, she is the only one younger than the captain....." Jaden said smiling.
Sally laughed, "Well she'll have to wait till I leave. The crew's full when you came in."
"Ah ok then..." Jaden said sighing, "Well we are here where is everyone else..."
"Sarah right over there," Sally pointed to an empty corner. She walked over, grinning, "Oy! Sarah! Coming to check in. I'll be gone for a few days."
Sarah nodded, "Same as always." She smiled.
"What...you'll be gone...." Jaden said coming up from behind Sally.
Sally leaned her head back to look up at Jaden, she grinned, "I told you that back at the beach." She leaned her head back up.
Sarah raised an eyebrow, smirking.
Sally playfully glared at Sarah.
Sarah just laughed.
"You did.....well do you mind telling me again because the only thing about you leaving i remember is that you will be leaving for good soon...." Jaden said looking down towards the ground.
That caused Sarah to look at Sally in surpise, "You're leaving for good?!?" SHe half yelled.
Sally leaned back into her chair, "We both knew that I wouldn't be staying forever and Black is forming her crew again. She's on her way here."
"I thought you still had a while though...." Jaden said starting to get depressed.
"Yes and I do, I'm not going with her right away," Sally said, standing up.
Sarah looked at the sunrise, "Well, I'm headed to bed." She yawned and walked up the stairs.
Sally walked to Jaden, "Why don't you come with me, hmm?"
"To Captain Black's crew?" Jaden said confused.
Sally shook her head, "No. I have a hut on the other side of the island, I go there for a few days. Why don't you come with me there?"
"Ah.....erm....sure why not, there is nothing that i am needed here for anyway..." Jaden said smiling.
Sally smiled, "Good, we just have to stop by the market first and then we can head there."
"Ooh do they hav kalamari?" Jaden asked blushing slightly.
"I think so," Sally made a face, "But how can you eat that stuff?"
"Like sushi really....it's aquired.." Jaden said smiling.
"I don't mind sushi, just kalamari," Sally shook her head, and headed to the the door.
"Well the only thing is it's sorta slimy..." Jaden said laughing.
"I did not need to hear that!" Sally covered her ears playfully.
"It could be worse..." Jaden said laughing more now.
"Yeah I know," Sally said, uncovering her ears.
"Ok so are you ready to go..." Jaden said smiling.
"The market's around the corner," Sally laughed.
"Ok then lets hurry, I'm hungry lol" Jaden said laughing again.
Sally walked around the corner. The market was bustling and there were shops crowding the alley. She walked up to a vender, smiling like she knew the man and bought a few things before heading to the next one.
"Hey where are the fruits and sweets..." Jaden said smiling.
"Over here," Sally called from a cart grinning.
"Ooh...i'm getting this...and this...ooh and this too" Jaden said smiling looking through the cart they were at.
"Get what you'll eat," Sally laughed.
"Oh i am...." Jaden said laughing paying for his food.
"Let's go get some bread and meat," Sally laughed.
"Fish too..." Jaden said trailing her with his arms full of food.
"That's with the meat. Oh! I need to pick up some more rum for me," Sally said, grinning.
"Eh i want some other kind of liqour what kinds do they have here...." Jaden said smiling.
"Any kind you want," Sally laughed.
"Ok potatoe whiskey...its the same as vodka.." Jaden said laughing lightly.
Sally shrugged, turning down a dark alley.
"This is kinda creepy...." Jaden said pulling his sword out slightly.
"It's a shortcut," Sally smirked, walking to the other side of the market.
"Well i don't usually take alley's it saves me trouble with theives....they always want to take my damn sword..." Jaden said sighing.
Sally chuckled, nodding, "Especailly with that new sword of yours."
"That just makes it worse...hey i forgot to ask....did your friend notice something different about my sword..." Jaden asked starring blankly at her.
Sally stared forward, heading toward a shop on the corner, "Which friend?"
"The one that fixed it..." Jaden replied smiling.
Sally shrugged, "No idea, he doesn't talk much." SHe stepped into the shop. It sold only liquor.
"Oh ok then....." Jaden said still smiling while he thought to himself, He must have noticed something i have to find out if he knows.....
Sally turned around, her face closer to Jaden's than she thought. A small blush found it's way to her cheeks, "Um..just choose what you want, I have a good credit stored up here."
"I already know what i want...." Jaden said picking up an unlabeled jug and setting it on the bar.
Sally walked behind the bar, reaching underneath. SHe grabbed a small bottle, it was blue and had ancient pictures covering it. SHe also grabbed two bottles of rum, "Alright, the hut's not far from here."
"Ok..." Jaden said smiling at her as he walked toward the door.
Sally walked down an ancient path, toward the other side of the island, she parted some trees, it showed a small hut for four and small vines covered the roof. It was hidden in the trees. Sally smiled, half-running, half-jogging to hut. She stepped inside, smiling. Nothing was dusty as she had thought, So Jen was here.
"Whoa...how old is this place.." Jaden said looking around the outside before walking in.
"I think almost thirty," Sally smiled. She put everything away, including the things of Jaden's and sat on the large bed in the center back room. She laughed and layed down.
"Well don't you think we should do something with the food and treat the meat so it doesn't go bad..." Jaden said smiling sitting down on the bed beside her.
"Meat's salted and there's already ice in the cabient to keep it cool, and we only have enough food to last us four days, more enough, and if we run out, the markets down the road." Sally smiled back, then smirked, getting and idea. She grabbed Jaden and forced him to lay down, while she hopped over him onto the floor, laughing.
"Why did you do that..." Jaden said looking over the edge of the bed laughing.
"I'm not saying anything till you catch me. Let's see how good of a swordsman you really are," Sally smiled to herself knowingly. No one had been able to catch her before, but she had a feeling he might.
"What does catching you have to do with swordsmanship..." Jaden said leaping off the bed.
Sally ran so she was in the dining room, behind the table. "Lots," Sally smiled.
"Oh it does..." Jaden said laughing as he took off after her laughing like a child.
Sally rolled under the table and ran outside laughing.
"You have problems..." Jaden yelled laughing as he followed her outside.
Sally just laughed, smiling knowingly. She ran down to the beach.
"The beach again yay!" Jaden said laughing when he realized where they were going, "you are going to have to be faster than this if you want to outrun me" he added running beside her now.
Sally smiled, "I'm walking kiddo." She ran to the forest, smiling.
"Kiddo??" Jaden said stopping, "your younger than i am..." he added laughing running back up to her.
SAlly laughed, running faster, weaving through trees, she quickly grabbed a branch and flipped up onto it, running across them.
"So we are taking this into the tree's" Jaden said jumping up from tree to tree.
SAlly hopped down running back to the beach.
"Make up your mind.." Jaden said laughing following her from above.
"You have to caught me, baka," Sally laughed, she ran out of the forest, and disappeared.
"Ok..." Jaden said jumping up higher and dissappearing as well.
Sally laughed, appearing at the house.
"Ah so you showed up..." Jaden said sitting on tthe roof smiling down at her.
"Still gotta get me," Sally laughed, running to the beach.
"Your just running back and forth...." Jaden said standing up yawning.
Sally ran into the water, diving in.
"It feels good doesn't it..." Jaden said laughing popping up from the water just infront of her, "does this count as catching you?"
Sally shook her head grinning, swimming around him and out deeper.
"Well what does then..." Jaden said shaking his head as well swimming out behind her.
"That I can't get away," Sally laughed.
"Oh so i have to catch and pin you then..." Jaden said laughing lightly swimming beside her now.
"Aye," Sally dunked uner, disappearing, She reappered in the shore, smiling.
"Well how is this then.." Jaden said smiling as he pulled a wire and watched it rise from the water laughing.
Sally frowned, "Where did you find that?"
"Find what...did i pull the wrong thing" Jaden said confused.
Sally waded back out, taking the wire. SHe looked at it, "That wire...........I killed him...no, couldn;t be......is he?.....no...." She walked back to shore, heading to the forest.
"What is it?" Jaden said chasing her out of the water and into the forest.
Sally stopped in front of a grave, "He's dead. Ok, he's still there."
"Who is dead..." Jaden said still confused.
"A navy personal, he was the one who killed Sarah's parents and more than half the crew." Sally frowned, throwing the wire down and walked away.
"Oh well the wire i meant to pull was for a little suprise i set up for you back there..." Jaden said scratching his head.
"What?!" Sally turned on him.
"I got tired of running around aimlessly so i set up a small trap....." Jaden said smiling.
"Let's just go back to the house," Sally walked down the path.
"Ok...are you mad at me...." Jaden said sighing.
"Not really, just slightly annoyed," Sally sighed.
"Well if i had have known it was a Navy trick i wouldn't have bothered...." Jaden said sighing.
Sally walked back to Jaden, "It wasn't a navy trick, it's just a trivk. It was done by both the navy and pirates, to kill."
"Oh i know about those...that's not what i did though...I just rigged a door to the path and weaved wire through the tree's making an effective fence to keep you there...." Jaden said smiling lightly, "It was a trick i used to catch my dogs...."
"So I'm a dog now am I?" Sally glared playfully.
"No your not a dog..." Jaden said laughing, "I just used them as an exapmle..."
"Well you made it sound like it," Sally playfully pushed him on the shoulder.
"Well that definately wasn't my intention..." Jaden said stumbling back.
Sally laughed, "I didn't even push you that hard."
"I know...I triped over this....wire....damnit get down..." Darren yelled pulling out his blade.
Sally reached down and pulled the wire away.
"That wire wasn't there before and i didn't lay it..." Jaden said.
"Alexia," Sally laughed, "Damn bloodly little girl."
"No i mean before our game of chase it wasn't here...someone else is here with us...." Jaden said watching the edge of the forest.
Sally laughed, "I know. Alexia come out!"
A young girl walked out into the opening, smiling nervously.
Sally laughed, grinning, "Come here and give me a hug you."
Alexica came over and hugged Sally. "Sally what are you doing here? I thought you would be coming back in, in about a month." SHe smiled.
Sally grinned, "Well plans change."
"Oh so this is the one..." Jaden said sheathing his sword relieved.
"Yeah this little pain is it," Sally laughed, poking Alexia in the side lightly.
Alexia laughed, trying to get away, "Well Jen's ship is coming in, so I'm going to join them there." She hugged Sally, "See you, Sally!" She ran to town.
"Who is that girl and who is Jen?" Jaden asked smiling lightly as the girl walked away.
"Alexia and Jen is her sister, Jen was also the swordswoman on Black's ship. She doesn't talk but she's a nic person,": Sally smiled back, "And you know.....you never did catch me."
"We were sidetracked is all..." Jaden said wrapping his arms around her loosly smiling.
"You got me..." Sally smirked.
"Only because you let me..." Jaden said laughing.
"Yeah, I know," Sally smirked.
"but one thing i don't get...how did i get around you so fast when you ran between the house and the beach those few times...." Jaden said smirking now as well.
Sally just smiled.
"So you didn't even try to stop me even though you knew..." jaden said smiling, "It's beginning to look like you fixed this whole game...." he added laughing now.
Sally laughed lightly, and continued to smile.
"Hey tell me..." Jaden said smirking with puppy dog eyes.
"You know...." Sally smirked, "The smirk ruins the whole puppy dog eyes effect."
"but i don't like to look sad...." Jaden said smiling.
Sally lauhged.
"What..." Jaden said laughing as well.
Sally laughed, "Nothing...."
"Yes there is..." Jaden said smiling at her oddly.
Sally leaned back a bit, closing her eyes, "Hmm..."
"NOthing..." Jaden sighed pouting slightly.
Sally leaned back up, "Really nothing."
"Ok..I believe you..." Jaden said smiling slightly.
"Let's go back and get something to eat," Sally smiled.
"Ok...I'm hungry anyway.." Jaden said smiling.
"Good, let's eat," Sally smiled.
"Ok then.." Jaden said laughing running inside.
Sally ran after him, and pulled out some pans to start cooking. "What do you fell like eating?" Sally looked back at Jaden.
"I don't care....fish will be fine..." Jaden said smiling walking over to her.
"alright then," Sally smiled, grabbing two small pieces of fish and ran them under some water, getting rid of the water and placed htem in the skillet. She reached around Jaden and grabbed a spatula.
"Here...is there anything I can do to help.." Jaden asked.
"You can grab the rice, the cabinet next to you," Sally said, flipping over the fish.
"Alright.." Jaden said flipping the door open and grabbing the sack of rice out, "anything else..." he added handing it to her.
"Can you get me a pot and fill it with water?" Sally smiled.
"Sure..." Jaden said grabbing a pot and walking over to the sink.
"That's not the one you want," Sally laughed, "You'll be wanting salt water for that rice..."
"So i have to go to the beach...." Jaden said sighing.
"No," Sally laughed, "You want the pump right outside the door."
"Well that is alot easier..." Jaden stated slightly embarrased.
"Most people don't even know it's there," Sally smiled, "I guess Sarah's parents were a bit ahead of everyone else."
"I guess so..." Jaden said smiling walking out the door.
Sally turned back to the fish, "....Doone..." She smiled softly. She placed them on two plates and them on the table.
"Here is the water you wanted..." Jaden said walking back inside smiling.
"Thanks, now it should only take about three minutes," Sally placed the pot on the fire and added the rice, stirring.
