Training Area 1

The training area is a large room, on one corner of it there are several dozen weapons, lined along the east wall there are about 10 wooden dummies for practicing and 10 marksmanship targets on the west wall. A tall gallant man stands in the middle of the room, waiting for the trainees to arrive.

Tylien looked a bit awkward and started thinking whether this thing was such a good idea after all, but well, life was about change. "Right on, then. I will be back shortly." Tylien bounced a few steps around because it almost forgot the egg, but then went to grab it and wrapped it up securely before leaving off to the mess hall.

Mika entered the Training Area, with Audun at his feet. Walking towards Abbot, he greeted the paladin with enthusiasm. "Hail Abbot! How fares your day? I was hoping you'd have some time on your hand, for I seek combat training."

"Hello!" greeted Abbot. "Welcome back. So, what exactly do you want to improve?", he asked Mika.

"I want to learn how to handle a Bec de Faucon, so I can start my Acolyte training." Mika replied.
Audin started sniffing Abbot's feet.

Abbot stared at Mika's pet. "Ah, a silveron. Nice choice for a pet", he said, then went right to business. "I can teach you to handle a Bec de Faucon for 75 gold pieces, or to handle any kind of mace for 250 gold. So what's your choice?"

Mika had to think this over for a while, but then answered: "Well, it could never hurt to be able to swing around alot of weaponry. I'll learn how to handle all maces then."
Audin lay on the ground before Abbot's feet, looking up at him with something of a grin.

"Very well", answered Abbot. "It's 250 gold, please", he said, because there was no training without payment first. "Seems your silveron knows how to recognize a charming man when he sees one! What's his name?" he asked then, looking at Audin.

"Audin, sir." Mika introduced his Silveron. He took the gold from his belt, and gave it to Abbot. "Here you go, 250 gp."
Audin barked when he heard his name.

Mika learned Handle Maces!

"Thank you for your time, sir Abbot. I'm sure these skills shall come of use." Mika saluted the paladin, before exiting the area. With a whistle, he called Audin after him.

Tylien entered the training area once again and looked around for Abbot. "Hello. I have come to increase my abilities again."

"Welcome back!" said Abbot with a shining white grin. "How did the protein diet I gave you work?" he asked, approaching the eolan. "Or did you change your mind?"

"It did. I prefer different kind of food in general, though." Tylien put its egg down very carefully, again wrapping it up in its cloak. "I came here to better my strength this time."

"Ah, strength training then. That will cost you 90 gold pieces", said Abbot, combing his blonde hair back with one hand.

Tylien counted 90 gold and gave it to Abbot swiftly.

Abbot accepted the money and started with the training.

Tylien's STR increased to 7!

Tylien was tired after the training. It thanked Abbot, picked up its egg and went to Training Area 2.

Byron strolled in sporting a new yellow cloak, a shovel and a pic axe and greeted the trainer of the area. "G'noon to ye! I be told ye be the man fer strength trainin'?"

"That is correct", said Abbot finishing placing back a strand of blonde hair to complete his perfect hairdo. He hid the mirror he had been holding inside his pocket and turned to Byron. "That sort of training costs 90 gold pieces", he informed with a smile on his face.

"Hmm." Byron said as he stroaked his goatee. "D'ye think ye be able ter make ol' Byron a deal if he be ter bulk up three times more 'n normal?" He asked, trying for a package deal. (Diplomacy)

(Diplomacy -
Abbot - 8 + 13 + 3 - 24
Byron - 5 + 16 + 3 - 24)

"Three times more than normal? That's an intensive training", said Abbot, looking at the pirate, as if evaluating if Byron could endure it. "It would cost you 270 gold, as well", he added.

"270 goldies?" Byron repeated, looking surprised. "Be ye sure? That be like no deal at all! Surely ye can do better than that, friend! I be Capin Byron, sailor o' th'seas and Koe-ian diplomat and what have ye!"

"Well I'm sorry my good captain, but that's the price", said Abbot firmly. "If you don't have the money you could return later for the training... or get a lighter one", he advised.

"Ye sayin' Byron be poor?" Byron asked, giving a slight frown at the near-insult. "270 goldies it be then!" He said and counted out 270 gold to give to Abbot.

"What? No, no. I wasn't suggesting such a thing", said Abbot apologetically. One shouldn't offend a customer, right? The paladin stretched a hand to recieve the coins. "So, are you ready to start?"

"Boursairs be born ready ter start!" Byron said with a nod and a smile to show he had already forgiven Abbot.

"That's the spirit", said Abbot, starting to instruct Byron to do some weight training.

Byron's STR increased to 9!

"Arr!" Byron said with great delight once the training was done. "That be what I be talking about!" He grinned a great muscle-y grin. "I thank ye a whole bunch thar, Sir Abbot."
"Now if you'll excuse me, I be havin' ter visit Miss Abby again!" The pirate said and gave a bow before leaving the training area to go to it's cousin, the training area 3.

"Good luck to you", said Abbot, and sit down on a bench for a moment. This intensive strenght training had tired him a bit.

Dankei entered the training area, and walked straight for Abbot. "Greetings Sensei. I seek training in the arts of war. I was hoping you could teach me the skill called 'Rage'?"

"Good day, sir" greeted Abbot, standing in his shiny plate armor, which usually served him well for impressing the ladies. Sadly none had come in a while now. "Rage, eh? A dangerous but powerful skill. Yes I can teach you that... for 150 gold pieces", he said.

"Done." said Dankei, handing the shiny knight the gold, and he made a bow before him. "Teach me, sensei."

Abbot received the money and started with the instructions for the training.

Dankei learned Rage!

Exhausted from the tiresome training, Dankei took some time off, sitting on the ground and letting his anger subside. After awhile, he pulled himself up, with help of his naginata, and made a bow before Abbot. "Many thanks, Sensei. I will put this skill to good use."
He grinned a mischievous smile, and left the training area, seeking to further improve his skills elsewhere.

Coming in from the coliseum, Virul took a moment to gather his breath from all the running about before gazing about the area to see if it was occupied. Satisfied that it wasn't after a moment's glance, he hailed out to the paladin that ran the place, "Good e'en, Lord Abbot! I hath come to ask for overall physical training, namely in the strength, constitution, and agility aspects! Pardon my hasty intrusion, but what may possibly be my hardest battle yet is soon to come."

"Ah! An important challenge!", said Abbot smiling at Virul. "I remember once I had to fight some vicious redclaws that were terrorizing a village..." he said, but in the middle of the story he seemed to recall Virul was in a hurry. "Sorry, I digress", he apologized. "Improving your strenght would cost you 105 gold, your constitution 75 and your agility 135", he informed. "That would be 315 gold pieces", he added, calculating quite fast for a mountain of muscles.

"My my, sirrah, I once had trouble fighting off just one!" Virul exclaimed, impressed, before getting to the matter at hand, "Well, here you go, sir." Dropping off the 315 gold, the thief felt a pang in his heart watching his money supply slowly dwindling away.

Abbot received the money and started the training.

Virul's strenght increased to 8!
Virul's constitution increased to 6!
Virul's dexterity increased to 10!

Feeling stronger and better than he did before he arrived, Virul slightly bowed and said, "I appreciate the training, good sir. I shall be off then, and will let you know the results of this battle." As he headed back to the coliseum, he paused once before finishing up with, "Make sure to visit your lovely sister every once in a while, milord. Surely she must grow weary of the monotony of her employment. Faretheewell."

"Aye, Sir Virul. I'll await your tale", Abbot before the man left. It had been a while since he had fought anything, he thought. Maybe he could talk with some of the referees to remember the thrill of battle. With this on his mind, he returned to his usual business in the training area.

"Greetings, noble sir Abbott!" Patamon beamed at the paladin, he seemed oddly happy for some reason. "I say, what woul it cost for me to become more proficient with this here marvelous blade?" And he unsheated his Damascus, cutting through the air with it. (Learn Weapon Mastery: Damascus Sword).

"Good day, hauken friend", said Abbot. "It is a fine blade indeed", the paladin spoke as he eyed the weapon Patamon presented him. "The training that you ask for costs 500 gold", he informed.

"Oh..." The smile from Patamon's face vanished like a speck of dust in the autumn wind. "Well, then... how about... how much would it cost to teach me how to deal a Crtical Strike?"

"Well, that would be 300 gold", answered Abbot with a shining smile.

Though not as cheerful as when he first entered the room, Pat's smile was back. "Alright, that will have to do for now, then." He pulled out the money and handed it over to Abbott.

"Excelent", said Abbot not loosing his smile as he grabbed the money and started the training.

Patamon learned Critical Strike!

"Thank you kindly." Nodding his appreciation, Patamon walked out to the Coliseum.

Walking in, Adalwolf bowed before the paladin, sweeping the ground with his hat. "I bid thee good day, sir. The one called Aura instructed me to seek thee for quests befitting a man of melee prowess."

"Good day to you, sir", answered Abbot to the man, slightly curious after that flourish introduction. "Aura sent you to what?", he asked, rather confused.

"Alas," Wolf began to explain "I had disturbed the lovely lady and she sent me off, saying you would have use for a fighter such as myself, for she does not. Perhaps you could send me to perform a deed for thee?"

"I see", said Abbot, though he was still rather confused about what Aura had to do with the matter, or how was it possible Wolf thought of her as a 'lovely lady'. "Uhm, I was just about to put this in the bulletin board, but since you're here, I'll tell you right now. I need someone to take a sword to Bob at the mess hall for an enchantment. The reward would be 100 gold. What do you say?"

"But of course!" Wolf was all too eager to have something to do. "I would be more than happy to oblige."

"Very well, then", said Abbot approaching a chest in the corner of the room and taking a short sword out of it. "Here. Be careful with it", said the paladin and handed the Adalwolf the weapon.

"Why, does it bite?" he smiled at Abbott, not expecting a reply. "I shall return momentarily." Wolf bowed respectfully, then turned on his heels and headed for the Coliseum.

A while later, the knight returned with the sword. "Here she is, sir." Careful not to touch the blade, Wolf presented the sword before the paladin. "Good as n-... well, whatever she's good for."

Abbot received the sword. "Thank you. You've done well", the paladin said. He unsheated the sword, revealing a flaming blade he examined with an expert eye. "Great", he commented, sheating the sword again. "Here's your reward", the man said handing Adalwolf a bag with coins.

Adalwolf gained 75 XP!

"Thank you kindly, noble sir." He swept the ground with his hat again as he bowed to Abbott. "I shall take my leave of thee, for now, but will likely return soon enough in search of more missions. Fare thee well." And spinning on his heels with the utmost military grace, Wolf exited the building.

A few hours later, the same Wolf returned
"Greetings again, noble sir! I have came to disturb thee again" He took off the Comb Morion and saluted the paladin. "But I find myself in lack of any mission. Might you have a task for this knight?"

"Hello", Abbot greeted Adalwolf again, and thought a moment if to send the man to do something or not. "Hm. There is something that requires attention, and maybe you could help", he said. "I've recently received some reports of threats to the temple on top of Mount Koi'lis, in the Koe Islands. Since there's no paladinic order in this place to put some order, I need someone to go investigate the matter. I would advise you to find someone to help you, though, if you decide to go", he said.

"Sounds good to me." Wolf said almost immediately. "Are there any further instructions thou might give me before I depart?"

"Not really. Go to Koe, you'll probably get more information at the temple. Tell them I sent you if you need", said Abbot. "Good luck"

"Aye-aye, sir!" and twisting on his heels, Wolf went for the Coliseum, trying to think where he might find a companion for this quest.

Tairoth Walked in, taking in the surroundings. He could appreciate an open space free of the writhing masses of the Colosseum hall. He approahced the tall trainer in the middle of the room and bowed slightly before speaking, as was due the senior warrior. "Good day, sir. How much do you charge for your training here? I wish to improve my raw endurance."

"Greetings", said Abbot to the newcomer. "Hm... that kind of training would cost you 75 gold pieces now", he informed.

Expensive, Tairoth thought. But perhaps it's worth it. Since there was nothing else he critically needed for the moment, he nodded and gave the trainer 75 gold.

"Excelent! Let's start the training", said Abbot taking the money and keeping a wide grin on his face.

Tairoth gained +1 to Constitution!

Satisfied with the training and the effects, Tairoth bowed again. "Thank you, sir." As ready as he was likely to get for now, he headed back to the Colosseum hall.

Earoluim walked into the melee training area, looking around him at the weapons and dummies that littered the place. He looked then to the giant man in the middle of the room, studying the man for a moment he then bowed his head to him in gesture of curtosy.

Abbot noticed the man who had just entered the training area and greeted him. "Good day, sir. Are you looking for some training?"

"That I am sir." Earoluim spoke, as he lifted his head.

"Good. Tell me, what is it you would like to improve?" asked Abbot, toying with his sword. "Speed, strength, endurance or maybe to handle some weapon?"

"What would be the cost to improve all, save the feat of another weapon?" Earoluim asked the trainer without hesitation and with a point of bluntness and eagerness.

"All of them? An ambitious person, I see. Hm", said Abbot as he put his blonde head to calculate what the tiger was asking for. "Well... to train your strenght, dexterity and constitution would cost you 255 gold", he finally announced.

The tiger nodded his head, "Well it would seem my pouch is not as ambitious as I am, how about just the Dex and the Con?" he asked swaying his tail back and forth a bit.

"That certainly would be less", said Abbot as he calculated again. "Just 150 gold".

Earoluim nodded his head. "When can we start?" He asked Abbot.

"Right now, if you're ready. I suggest we start with dexterity first", said Abbot looking for something in a chest against one of the walls. "Is that okay with you?"

Earoluim nodded his head and watched the trainer dig trhough the chest.

Abbot took out a bow and some funny looking arrows, that instead of having a pointed end, had a rounded one covered in cloth. "Okay, stand over there please", said the trainer pointing towards where the dummies were. "I want you to dodge this arrows. As you can see, they won't harm you if you get hit - probably it will just leave a bruise, anyway", he said. "This way you'll improve your reflexes and speed", he added. "Ready?"

Ear nodded his head and did as he was told.

Abbot placed the arrow on the bow and aimed at the tiger, releasing it without warning.

Earoluim watches the arrow being noosed and sidesteps quickly in attempt to dodge the arrow that was in his pursuit.

Earoluim saw the arrow zooming towards him, and managed to avoid it by an inch!

"Very good!" said Abbot and launched a second arrow, giving Earoluim barely a chance to react!

Earoluim drops to the ground hugging it fluidly attempting to dodge the nest arrow.

Earoluim tried to jump away but wasn't fast enough after the last dodge and got hit by the arrow on the stomach!

"Come on, you've to be faster!", said Abbot, ready to shoot the next arrow!

Ear Grunted as the arrow struck him in the chest, as he saw the trainee knock another arrow he side stepped again, not halting his movement as he waited for the arrow to be released.
