Poem's Title: Lonely Man

Poem:
See that lonely man there on the corner?
he seems to see everything
but yet nothing at all.
See that lonely man there on the corner?
in his hands there is a sign
in his eyes there is hunger
in his heart there is pain
See that lonely man there on the corner?
watching everyone pass by
no one doesn't even know that he's there.
do they even care?
See that lonely man there on the corner
with each day that passes
the hunger grows.
But yet he doesn't whine
he doesn't scream
he doesn't beg,
he just says please.
his sign says " Please, spare me a dollar, so my daughter can eat."
but no one notices the bundled little girl next to him.
Big tears fall from that small face with big blue hungry eyes.
Do you see that lonely man there on the corner?
Do you see him?
Do you care?

Poem's Title: Wake Unto Me
Poem:

Wake unto me, to my adoration,
Upon thy face I'll gaze, come to!
Wake unto me, my dear breath taker,
For thou art my handsome dream maker,
Thy lull'd expression under moon's illumination.

Thus I from thee take enkindled inspiration,
Borne by every dream come true.
Though moments together are ever spry,
With every thought I feel thee nigh:
A delusion of infatuation.

In verse to thee I show dedication,
And thy love I shall ever pursue.
I to thee this love commend,
Parchment words of thyself I send -
An expression of determination.

Be this no more than imagination?
Not so, quoth I, thy heart is true!
Bounded evermore to thee is my heart;
This I to thee alone impart.
Lo my recantation of my contemplation!

How just, it seems, my admiration,
For thy joy is long overdue.
Thy heart, nay more, thy soul, I cry,
Can never our purest love deny.
Espy a celebration of love's creation!

Poem's Title: Freedom
Poem:

It can never be good enough
Can never be strong enough
The bridge will always break
The glass will always fall
And reality will always pull us down
Some say to fly is freedom
Yet the sky is still our boundary
Some say the dark is cold
Yet we search out the shadow when light abandons us
When all who stood beneath us
Disappear
And we fall into the well of light
That burns the skin
And blinds the senses
So we do not see
That we are ignorant
Freedom is an illusion
Given by this reservoir of artificial contentment
I would rather see the truth
And be free
Than be blind to the harsh reality
And rot in their diamond chains

Poem's Title: The Sweet Night Rains
Poem:
Drip, drip
the rain sings.
On the lake
it makes rings.
The moon shines brightly
on the water front.
The night shadows
seek and hunt.
Jumping from tree to tree
when the moonlight shines
they cannot be seen.
The rain falls this night
making the leaves gleam.
They look like emeralds
so does it seem.
The leaves twinkle
with an unforgettable green.
The night is beautiful
but even more glorious when it rains.
The little droplets
make sweet little stains.
The sweet nights rain
falls tonight.
Come the morrow
night's rain will be gone from sight.

Poem's Title:My World’s End
Poem:
Bones Crushed,
Breath Fading,
Body Mangled,
Kidney’s Failing.

Not Death but Sleep
Has taken these moments,
These last moments
I have with him.

My pillar of strength,
No longer strong.
My mainstay, my foothold in this world,
Is leaving me for the next one.

No peace or comfort to be found.
Only this silent white-walled hell,
Filled with gleeful malice,
At the notion of impending death.

Death’s icy fingers make me shiver,
But I can only watch as my anchor is spirited away,
Now cast adrift and all I can do
Is cry the tears that wouldn’t come.
