Poem's Title: Holocaust
Poem:
I wake in the morning and turn on my lamp
hoping today I wont be sent to a concentration camp.
I'm quiet all day and wish a lot
not to make a peep not to be caught.
Every day the horror I see
asking myself "How can this be?"
I see millions of Jews die each and everyday
for those who are alive for them I will pray.
Late at night I see the bombs fall
in over the city our soldiers stand tall.
Every hour they ring a bell
I count the days till the end of hell.
Oh no I hear a crash! Oh no I hear a boom!
Horrible German soldiers found where I room.
They grab my arms I start to cry
they push me out the door, I don't want to die!
I try to struggle to get free
I can't get away, oh please let me be!
I finally get away and run down the street
yet another German soldier that I do meet.
He grabs me, hits me, holds me firm
the others come running and this is what I learn.
I ran away, I pay the price
these German soldiers arn't very nice.
They load a gun and point it to my chest
I failed to survive, now I'll let it rest.
I see my family begging for them to let me go
I sag in firm arms my head bent low.
They shoot the gun, a bullet to my heart
my soul and my body forever ripped apart
I fall to the ground, I'm left bleeding
I lie there, my life fast leaving.
I turn my head to the sad gray sky
now I know that I must die.
I close my eyes it all goes dark.
In heaven now a new life I start.
Family,friends,all is lost.
This is how I lived, in the Holocaust.

Poem's Title: EverChange
Poem:

The noise and the laughter
The silence and the quiet
Changing so fast
without reason
without tempo
Life is so fast
without a set course
finding a path
changing the norm
In all of this time
life changes life
Keeping it straight
weathering a storm
Fighting the wind
Daring the tide
keeping afloat
all pieces of a puzzle
all fit together so nicely
finding the pattern
is where the traveling goes.

Poem's Title: Shine
Poem:

There's an airwave of electric blue
And a receiver of signals from above
There's a tower and antenna tall
Intercepting broadcasted love

There's a light in the dark'ning evening sky
And a fire on earth that burns so great
The news says that our visitors come
To unleash unprecedented hate

The people gather round the fire
Primitive creatures, shouting hymns
Throwing themselves into the air
Praising their lord with every limb

The visitors meet the terrestrial dust
The chorus sings Chaos, fearing the last
The cameras see the public enemy
The scientists scan the data, aghast

There's a blindness and raptured shout
As the vessel's glow lightens the night
One visitor walks forth, with a wave of hand
Extinguishes the fire that once burned bright

There's a panicked scream of mother's love
As the visitor approaches the little child
A horrified silence as the two embrace
And all the primitive return to the wild

The scientists burn their machinery
The newscasters end transmission
The chorus dies down and succumbs to the truth
Of the visitors' accomplished mission

And the glow subsided, the two walked away
One to her mother, the other to home
And from the crust of the dried, scorched earth
A beautiful flowering rose had grown.

Poem's Title: Chronolarceny
Poem:
A man came up to me one day
That devil was so sly.
I wanted none of this exchange,
But he said in reply,
“Of what I want, you've got a lot.
You've not a short supply.”
Yet when all this was said and done
He left with just “Goodbye”.

I didn't know what I had lost
‘til two years had gone by.
I hear He's taken more from some,
That thief of time, but I
Would scour the world for its return,
And though I'd really try
I know I'll never get it back,
And that thought makes me cry.

Poem's Title: From Death To Glory
Poem:
Inspired by [Trajic Rabbit]

This be my reality when worlds collide;
Lives destroyed by the single drop of rain.
Through the land a rolling rumble,
As hills are torn and buildings crumble,
And hearts and minds divide.

When the roaring did subside,
And the devastation had once waned,
What's left is peacefulness so strange
As people silently wait for winds to change
And breaths are held as hearts bide.

Curious next what silently betide
As something betokened the ended bane.
Across sky black a shooting star
That brightly outshone Balthazar
And all the evil defied.

The star would over all preside
And the night sky it would reign.
Such is the legend in my own mind,
But be it the illusional kind?
Or in reality does it preside?

In the still I slowly cried
As all the evil was slain.
What you live is you own story,
A twisted tale from death to glory
That reaches far and wide.

Though from past I may still hide
And happiness I'll feign,
There are some wars that can't be won,
It is all past, what's done is done.
My happiness is no longer denied.

Poem's Title: Hello
Poem:

I saw you today.
You were a jewel in the sunlight.
I wished you my way.
You were my goal. I set my sight.
But there you are.
I swear you do it to kill my mind.
So from afar,
I seek forever what I can't find.

I can't find the way into your life.
Wish I was all that you'd want.
Hello, my name is and what's yours
Let's start over from square one
To you I want to be
What I want you to be to me
But Hello, my name is as far as we'll get
In fifteen days I'll never see
But is to regret better than to forget?
