WELCOME TO UNDEAD ZOO RPG!
UNDEAD ZOO RPG continue here
This is where the story begins!
Rue:
Rue sat under the cover of what was probably once an old parking garage for some corporate place. With her eyes closed and her body limp against the wall she was leaning on, she looked like a bloodied rag doll. A rat scurried over to her left hand and sniffed at it, contemplating whether or not to gnaw on the diseased flesh.
Suddenly the ax held in Rue's right hand came down on the rodent before it could take a single nibble. Just because she couldn't sleep didn't mean that that stupid scavenger had any right to interrupt her rest.
She hears the sound of foot steps close by.
With great effort, Rue's dry eyes blink open. Not bothering to remove the ax from the rat that has now been split in two, she waits for the intruder to reveal himself.
A boy and girl both around ten walked in they didn't seem to notice her yet.
Rue watched the newcomers carefully, not allowing for any movement other than her eyes following the children. One question kept running through her mind: What are they? Until she found her answer, she decided to play dead; a simple enough feat for her. It's not like she had a pulse to check.
"My goodness is she okay?!" Asked the girl trying not to scream, the boy ran over to check for a pulse. "....No she's..dead" The boy said stumbling away from her.
There was no way anything other than a human would panic like that. Sheltered humans, too, by the sounds of it. At the risk of scaring them--it probably would have been for the best anyways--Rue gave the children a sleepy smile. "You two should probably go home now. This place isn't exactly a fortress." Still not opening her eyes, she let her head slump towards the entrance. "Best you get someplace with a door, at least."
"Your alive!!" The boy asked in disbelief "Are you okay? Our town is just up the road we can get you to a doctor!" They said at about the same time rushing over to her.
Do they not know what I am? Are they from one of the secluded towns? Rue's eyelids snapped open, revealing the kind of blank, glazed-over eyes that only belong to the dead or blinded. "What are you doing out here, kid?"
The boy gasped and took a few steps back "a..are you bl..blind? asked the girl stopping in her tracks a little bit of fear made it's way into her voice and eyes.
Ignoring the girl's question, Rue made eye contact with the boy. "You know why you shouldn't be here, don't you? Go back home," she nods towards the girl, "take her with you."
"Huh?" The girl said the boy looked at Rue he gave her a slight nodd with a look of confusion as he grabbed the girl's hand and took off he looked back at Rue for a second before turning around the side of the garage's doorway.
A few minutes after the children ran off, Rue began to stand up and grimaced as she felt something shift uncomfortably. She recalled seeing an abandoned store nearby and headed in its direction, swinging her axe at the crow that decided to follow her from time to time.
Four people ran out of the store different items fell from their arms as they ran. They went left instead of to their right where they would have ran into Rue.
Noticing the people running from the store, Rue cocked her head a little.
It seems that there was still some salvageable neccessities for the humans...
Thinking that the material she needed probably would not be what they deemed important for their own survival, she walked into the store anyways and walked to the back shelves, her axe scraping a path through overturned trash and plastic wrappings as it trailed behind her. As expected, the batteries, tools, and absolutely anything remotely edible had completely vanished.
Something fall from a shelf behind her.
Rue turned to the noise, not bothering to look intimidating or worried. When she saw nothing there, she gave the crow a half-hearted glare.
The crow didn't look at her glare it was more interested in some box on the shelf next to it.
Shrugging off the bird's indifference, Rue turned away from the crow and found what she was looking for. Plastic wrap. Looking from side to side to make sure no one was around, Rue quickly removed her hat, jacket, half-shredded t-shirt and a large square of fabric to inspect the damage. Her liver had finally decided to lodge itself in the space between two strips of intact flesh and a piece of intestine was falling out. Scoffing, Rue ripped away the liver and shoved her intestines back where they belonged—too much of them were still attached to her for her to remove them yet, then she got to work wrapping the plastic wrap around her midsection. Once it was secure, Rue slipped her shirt and jacket back on, zipping it up all the way, while ignoring the discarded square of fabric.
The crow jumped down to a shelf and tapped on a piece of glass from a mirror.
"It's not edible, crazy bird." Rue told the crow as she reached for the hand mirror. For the first time in perhaps two years, the zombie stopped and took a good look at herself. She didn't look bad. At least, not as bad as some zombies that have been dead for mere weeks, so certainly not bad for four years of this... existence. It couldn't be called a life. Turns out a little formaldehyde applied by a rather creepy mortician who seemed a bit too happy to help out a teenager with half her organs falling out goes a long way. Moving her hair to the side, Rue noticed what must have been her earlobe still hanging on by a mere thread of skin to where the rest of her right ear used to be. How long had that been there?! Now that she knew of its presence, that thing was just going to bug her until she got rid of it. Swiping up a pair of scissors, Rue snipped away the scrap and threw it to the begging crow. “Just take it, you stupid detritivore.”
The crow gladly took the ear and started ripping off pieces of flesh from the ear to eat.
Rue raised an eyebrow at what surely should have been a stomach-churni
ng scene. "You're welcome."
The crow cracked at her (its way of saying thank you) then the grabbed the ear and went out the door.
Giving an exasperated sigh Rue picked up her hat and axe and followed the crow. "Where are you going now, crazy bird?"
The crow waited for her before taking flight. As it did a flare cut the sky above the city near by. The crow wasn't wanting to slow down.
Rue's steps faltered as she watched the flare erupt, but once she noticed the crow continue she pulled her hat firmly onto her head and began to run to catch up. I hope that stupid crow knows what he's doing...
It was dark in the city, which made it hard to see the crow at point through the thick shadows.
"Stallions above..." Rue gave the crow a sharp glance and scoffed, "if you're trying to get me killed it's a bit late for that." Readjusting her hat to make sure it stayed on her head and swinging up her axe so the flat of the blade rested on her shoulder, Rue headed in the direction the crow pointed in only to stop and turn back to it. "Well? Aren't you coming too?"
The crow quickly picked up its speed and flew past deeper into the dark.A scream cut through the air.

Alan:
Alan was in the woods sitting in a tree enjoying the breeze, he sighed heavily as he looked to the sky before jumping from the tree and heading into town. Alan kept his head down as he walked through the town, he heard a group of girls giggling and whispering about how cute they thought he was, he picked up his speed blushing brightly as he turned the corner.
"Did you hear? The government is going to come bring us more food soon." A man said to a woman.
"Yes, but I don't trust them. How are they getting this food?" the woman replied angrily.
Alan looked up at the man and woman who were talking, 'Are they seriously bringing these people more food? I'd like to know where they're getting this food too.' He thought to himself. Alan shyly walked up to the man and woman, "E-Excuse me, b-but where did you h-hear that?" He asked nervously.
"A few agents showed up about a week ago to help defeat the awful creatures that where attacking us, and they said they would be back with food!" The man said happily the woman just muttered.
"H-How do you k-know they were telling th-the t-truth?" Alan asked hating that he was stuttering from his shyness.
"Hey kid are you okay or is the cold getting to you?" Asked the woman as she stared him down. "Be nice Ann. The government hasn't lied to us yet!" The man replied giving a great big smile.
"N-No, I'm just R-Really shy." Alan said blushing slightly before turning to the man. "I-I hope you're r-right."
Hey why don't you stay at my Inn for the night it's not much but still. By the way my name is Caner." The man said still smiling at Alan.
"Th-Thank you. I-I'm Alan." Alan said bowing slightly and shyly smiling back.
"Don't mention it." The man replied leading him down the road to an inn. The Inn looked like it had been family run for years.
Alan followed the man and looked at the inn and smiled, "It looks like a nice place."
"It is, sadly it doesn't get much people staying at it though." Conner said opening the door for Alan.
"Wh-Why's that?" Alan asked curiously as he passed the man and entered the Inn looking around.
It was very homely and comforting there where a few chairs by a fire place, on the other side of the room was a small desk and a hallway that lead to the rooms. "It's because of all those creatures that run around, people don't really think of staying at an Inn when they're running for their lives. We're just lucky that the government got to us in time other wise we wouldn't be open." Conner said as he walked over to the desk and grabbed a key from one of the draws. "This way please." Conner said heading down the hall.
Alan nodded as he followed Conner. 'Wow, I feel sorry for this guy, a beautiful place like this and no guests.' He thought to himself sadly.
Conner opened a door to one of the rooms and held out the key for Alan. "This room is on the house don't worry, oh and dinner is over but I can warm up some leftovers if you like?" Conner said giving his great big smile to Alan once again.
"Thanks, but I've already had dinner tonight." Alan said as he took the key from Conner, it was really a lie so he didn't feel very guilty, but he was sure if he knew the truth about what he had Conner might not be so nice.
"Alright well enjoy the room."Conner said leaving him to his room. "Oh, and breakfast is at nine am."
"Ok, thank you sir." Alan said with a smile as he unlocked the door and stepped inside. "Good night sir." He said with a slight bow and a wave before shutting the door.
"Good night." Conner replied as Alan shut the door. The room Alan entered was warm it had a bathroom (which was rather old but everything worked), a canopy bed (also older style), a desk and a bedside table with a lamp on it.
'Now what do I do tomorrow, he's probably going to try to get me to eat something.' Alan thought with a sigh as he looked around the room before walking to the window and opening it. 'I can't sleep, and I'll get bored sitting around here, I'll just come back before dawn.' He thought as he jumped from the window and landed safely on the ground below.
"Heehee wow you don't see that every day." A woman's voice said from behind him.
'Crap, I didn't think someone would be down here to see me.' Alan thought to himself as he stood up and looked at the woman with a shocked and surprised look on his face. "I-I didn't see you there."
The woman had red hair, green eyes, and a southern accent. "Well now, most people would be harmed by a fall like that." She said glancing up for a second before looking back at Alan.
"O-Oh? Is that s-so?" Alan asked as he eyed the woman cautiously as he started to back away a little kind of intimidated by her presence for some unknown reason.
She raised her eyebrow at him." You can't tell me that anyone can jump out a window without being harmed."she replied taking a few step forward.
Alan looked up, 'Crap, I didn't realize how high it was...' He thought to himself seeing he had been on the second floor before he looked back at the woman. "O-Ok, you're right. I didn't re-realize how high it w-was."
"What's a kid doing jumping out a window in the middle of the night anyway?" She asked she didn't seem to be buying the 'I didn't realize how high it was.' story.
"K-Kid?! I'm not a kid!" Alan said crossing his arms which didn't do much to prove he wasn't a kid. "This guy invited me to stay at his inn, but I don't really need sleep." He said still annoyed about being called a kid.
"*snicker* You know you shouldn't go into a strangers house right?" She asked her eyes eased up a bit.
Alan glared at the woman, "Wh-Why do you think I jumped out?" He said rolling his eyes.
"Haha Your just lucky it was Conner!" She said, then she changed her attention to his arms she turned her head to the right a bit "You look pretty strong, mind helping out?" She asked.
"Help out? With what?" Alan asked curiously raising a brow as he turned to look at her.
She smiled then said "I need help spreading the food out through the people."
"Oh, ok sure." Alan said with a cute slight smile, his face softening forgetting she had called him a child.
"Great to hear! The boxes are over here." She said heading down the alley.
'They're in an alley? That's kind of weird.' Alan thought suspiciously as he hesitantly followed her into the alley.
As they went further he heard some talking and saw some boxes, "You probably find it odd for us to be in a alley right?" The women asked turning her head slightly towards him.
"Yeah, a little bit. Why are you d-down here?" Alan asked as he saw some people around the boxes.
One of the men by the boxes answered "We have had problems with people trying to steal the food, or even fight over it. So we keep the food in alleys and stuff so no one can see it."
"Oh, that makes sense. So Conner was right they are getting more food." Alan said as he and the woman reached the men in the alley.
"Yeah, well lets grab some boxes!" The woman said then turned to some of the men. "You five make sure no one try to attack us."
Alan nodded as he grabbed some boxes of food, "Where to?"
"Follow me, first stop the break house." The woman said beginning to walk. "Oh, by the way you can call me Anna."
"Nice to meet you Anna, I'm Alan." Alan said with a small smile as he followed Anna.
"Nice to meet you too." She gave him a smile as she walked toward a large building. "That's the first stop."
"Oh, alright." Alan said looking at the building in front of him as he followed Anna.
There were lots of people at tables or on sleeping bags in the building, "Oh is that the food?!" A woman asked coming over, she had baby food and a spoon in her hand.
Alan looked at the woman after looking around, "Y-Yes ma'am." He said with a shy smile.
"Oh thank you so much!" the woman said smiling and doing tiny hops. "Heehee you're welcome Grace, so where do you want it?" Anna asked. "Oh over here." Grace said leading them to a room.
Alan smiled slightly and nodded as he followed Grace and Anna to the room.
The room was rather small, it was empty besides one window. Grace looked down at her hand. "Oops umm please just put them where you want, I have to take care of somethings." She said leaving the room. "Well over here should do." Anna said placing the boxes she was carrying down in a corner.
Alan walked over and placed the boxes he was carrying down next to hers as he watched Grace leave.
"You don't talk much do you?" Anna said as her eyebrow raised.
"N-No, I'm kind of sh-shy." Alan said flushing a bit at having to actually admit it even though he knew it.
Anna smiled and ruffled his hair as she walked toward the door. "You remind me of someone I know." She said back turned toward him.
Alan's face turned bright red when Anna ruffled his hair, "R-Really?" He asked turning away in case she turned around so she wouldn't see him blushing.
"Oh by the way... We'll stop at Conner's place last." She added as she left the room.
Alan blinked, 'How will I explain this?' He thought to himself with a sigh as he followed Anna.
As they left the building Anna turned to him. "You know we are always looking for new recruits." She said.
Alan stopped and looked at her, "New recruits? You're a soldier?"
The men that were following them started laughing, "More like a Dictator!" One yelled, Anna quickly shot him a glare. "Please pay no attention to fools, Yes I am." Anna said.
Alan looked slightly nervous about the guys' comment, "D-do you want m-me to be a s-soldier?" He asked surprised.
"Even if you are shy I can tell you have it in you, and you will be able to help alot of people too." Anna said giving him a kind smile.
Alan blinked, "I-I don't know..." He said hesitantly.
"Well you have time still, just think about it please." Anna said still smiling, then she walked back toward the alley where some boxes still were.
Alan sighed, "I should've stayed in my room." He muttered to himself as he followed her.
She heard him and stopped then replied, "If you stayed in your room you wouldn't have been able to help Grace and all the people the need this food.....It is amazing what one act can do to change someones life." Anna said then began walking again.
Alan blinked and blushed a little, 'Good lord, does she have super hearing or something?' He thought to himself as he continued to follow her.
She picked up a box and turned around. "We're going to houses now." One man said.
"Oh, ok." Alan said with a nod as he got a box too.
She went toward one of the closer buildings, "Be careful there are people around this side of town that might try to steal the food."
"Don't worry, I'm not scared." Alan said looking around as he followed Anna.
"Just stay on guard." She said. "Hey we'll make sure no one hurts you guys!" One of the men said as Anna knocked on the door.
Alan nodded at Anna's words as he stood behind her, 'Stay on guard, I'm always on guard, I have to be.' He thought to himself.
A man opened the door and gladly took the food, Alan could hear some kids playing soldier.
Alan smiled glad that kids could still play without being scared.
The man closed the door as Anna turned to go to the next house, after they were a little ways away from the house Anna said, "Kids are either very strong or just too young to realize what this world's become."
"Yeah, I figured as much." Alan said as he followed Anna glancing back once.
"Look alive, we're being watched." One of the men whispered.
'I thought I felt someone watching.' Alan thought to himself as he nodded to show he heard the man.
"They aren't human." Anna added, it sounded more like a hiss then a whisper."
Alan could also tell that whoever was watching them wasn't human, "Yeah, I know." He said in a low voice almost inaudible.
Anna's hand moved to her guns, it was A werewolf and vampire working together.
Alan glanced at Anna and the others, 'I hope things don't get too serious.' He thought to himself, he didn't know what would happen if he had to show his bad side.
The vampire went for a back attack while the werewolf for a front.
'So, I have to deal with the vampire?' Alan thought to himself as he grabbed the sword from his back.
He heard the first few gun shots as the Vampire when to attack. It was going through blood lust.
'So it's one of those.' Alan said as he charged at the vampire and swung his black sword at it, the sword had a cross embedded into it which made up the hilt.
It noticed the cross but was to crazed to care.
Alan smirked as the sword cut into the vampire's arm.
The Vampire seemed confused but didn't stop it's attacks, Alan could still hear some gun shoots as he smelled two more werewolf.
Alan hissed as he swung his sword again at the vampire cutting its arm off.
It let out a scream as it tried to slice Alan with its other arm.
Alan dodged it as he flipped backwards and kicked the vampire in the head.
It looked mad now as it dashed forward with a hiss.
Alan smirked as he moved rather fast appearing to disappear and reappear behind the vampire and sliced it in half with his sword.
"Wow, good job kid!" One of the men said as two more gun shots were fired.
"Uh, thanks." Alan said with a nervous smile.
"Well I think that was the last one." Anna said putting away her guns.
Alan sighed as he put his sword away, "You sure?"
"Do you smell anything else Vampy?" Anna asked.
Alan glanced at Anna before sniffing the air, "No."
"Good. So have you changed your mind?" Anna asked.
"Huh? About what?" Alan asked a little confused.
"About joining the army, this town would have been wolf and vampire chow by now if we weren't here.
Alan sighed, 'Well I would be helping people and it'd give me an excuse for skipping out of breakfast I suppose.' He thought to himself. "Oh, alright, sure."
"Goody then let's pick up our speed." Anna said with a smile.
Alan smiled slightly, "Alright then."
It didn't seem to take long before all the boxes were gone. "Well the sun's up and the boxes are where they belong." Anna said smiling.
Alan stretched his arms and smiled, "Should I tell Conner about this?"
"Yeah, then we should hit the road." Anna said.
Alan nodded as he headed towards Conner's inn.
"We"ll be out here."The men said.
Leabic: &
Leabic breaks the hood off of a car to pull the fuses out more to make something just for the heck of it, "It might integrate one here not the rest." He said while taking them out. He started taking off doors of cars and started to make a fort out of the wreckage, he attaches the fuses to the only entrance so it is electrified wood sheet over it says "Do not enter without permission." He makes the bed out of pieces of seats from the vehicles and sleeps for the night.
He woke up to the sound of a dog barking.
grabs a piece of plastic push over the wood
The dog was barking at some zombie wolfs.
he calls out to the dog "if you want to be safe come here" disconnects the wires from the metal and draws his sword.
The dog quickly ran to him.
leads the dog inside the bunker and re-electrify it.
The dog yawned as it went over to a car seat to sleep. And then there was the awful smell and sound of zombie wolfs chering on electrified door.
"where is an air freshener when you need one"leabic said
The god looked up then covered it nose with its paws.
William
Will draws his katanas after hearing growls and clawing sounds coming towards him. “Great, these creatures are really starting to annoy me,” he said as he got ready for the creatures attack.
The first few creatures attack and were quickly dealt with until the others decided to attack. “Crap, I`ve got to make a break for it,” Will said as he killed two more creatures before running in the direction of an old storefront.
'Why am I running from these things for,' Will thought as he stopped and put away his swords before shifting into his demon form as fire surrounds his feet and the tips of his nine tails. “Now the fun begins for me,” Will laughs as he attacks the creatures while unaware he is being watched by someone.
Will screams out in pain as one of the creatures made a nasty gash in Will`s side. “I was trying not to use my full powers but now I don`t have a choice,” Will growled to himself as his eyes went red and he unleashed a firestorm on the creatures killing them all.
Will then notices a scent in the air that couldn`t smell before. “I know your there and you can come out. I won`t hurt you unless I feel threatened,” Will said as he limped to the side of the storefront and shifted back to his human form and started to heal his wound. “Its been awhile since I`ve seen another person. My name`s Will Blackfire.”
"What are you?" A voice asked from near by.
Morgan:
Morgan thrust his hands in his pockets, balancing a cigarette between his teeth. The wind was chilly- not that that mattered to him. It could have be fifty million below freezing and he wouldn't notice. The humans around him though were carefully layered in long sleeved shirts, scarfs and mittens. Morgan's ready jacket helped him blend in nicely. When dealing with humans, even the criminal ones, you had to be careful. Prejudices could become violent easily and Morgan didn't have the time to play.
He was on a mission, picking up a rare item from human mobster running an illegal warehouse. He would pick it up and deliver it back to his current boss. Another job would be complete. Morgan glanced up from the snow crunching beneath his boots. The warehouse was just visible through the icy haze.
Show time.
There seems to be about fifteen guards outside the building, shaking from the cold.
Morgan crossed the street, winding gracefully through the crowd careful not to bump anyone. Not only did he not need the attention- he hated physical contact with strangers. It made Morgan feel... grimy.
The guards stood a little straighter, more alert as Morgan approached them. He ignored them, knocking his boots against the curb. Slush slid off in uneven chunks.
Morgan sauntered toward the guards standing near the gate, hands still in his pockets. One of the guard cracked his knuckles menacingly.
Morgan resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Humans. How cliche.
"Where do you think you're going shrimp!" one guard said going to block his path.
The guard bumped into Morgan causing his cigarette to dislodge and fall to the ground, soaked in snow.
Morgan stared at his cigarette, lips pursed, eyebrow twitching. He sighed.
A silver blur glinted in the misty morning air as a Smith and Wesson .500 magnum revolver relocated its muzzle from the strap under Morgan's coat to point blank range of the guard's chin.
Morgan raised the muzzle of his pistol causing the guard to look into his eyes.
"Apologize," he whispered.
Some of the other guards pull out there own weapons, some had gun, others brass nuckles, and a few put up there fists, but the guard he hald the gun to was wimpering and apologizing.
Morgan did not have time for this. He reached up his free hand pulling his wrist free from his sleeve about an inch and flashed his tattoo.
dhampir
Their eyes widened in understanding, faces paling, throats gulping. Morgan could see the beads of sweat accumulating on their brows. He cocked his pistol and pulled the trigger.
All the guards hit the ground in fear. Morgan smirked at the guard his pistol was still pointed at. He had clearly soiled himself. Pffft. Humans.
Morgan flipped his revolver to the side to show the guard his empty ammunition chamber. The guard fainted. Morgan grinned. As if I would waste a bullet on these goons.
In seconds his weapon was replaced and his hands were back in his pockets. He stepped over the guards still prostrated on the ground in fear, pushed open the gate and entered the warehouse courtyard.
There where 20 more guard but this ones where spaced out more.
Morgan glanced to his left, then to his right. He clicked his teeth.
Well, crap
Morgan tilted his head and batted his lashes at the guards armed and waiting.
"All this for lil' ole' me?"
A smattering of bullets crackled around him in response. Morgan ducked and stepped back into the guard shack.
Guess so
He could hear some more guards coming from behind him.
Morgan lit a cigarette, took a deep puff and let his breath out. Grasping the top of the guard shack he pulled himself up and flipped over on to the roof. He knelt for one solid minute in silence, then rose to his feet, arms spreading out in opposite directions holding his pistols loaded and ready.
He spun slowly in a circle, eyes closed.
Puff. Puff.
His eyes snapped open. Puff.
Leila:
Leila was smiling maliciously walking next to a lake holding the severed head of a man who had foolishly tried to kidnap her, "Foolish little human, I guess you learned your lesson didn't you?" She said aloud with an evil giggle as she threw the head into the water, she smiled as she watched it sink like a rock.
She could her hear some running foot steps not to far away.
Leila sighed as she washed the blood from her hands and face before hiding in the bushes so she could pounce on her prey like a lioness on the hunt.
About 12 men came running toward her direction.
'Are they after me, or that man? Who cares, I'll just fool them like all of the others.' Leila thought to herself as she made it look like she was really upset and the water she had splashed on her face made it look like she had been crying, she rushed out of the bushes and fell to her knees with her hands over her face and made it sound like she was crying.
Two man stopped the others turned and ran down a hardly noticeable road. One of the two men started walking toward her. "We don't have time to play with kids!" The other man barked.
"Please, please help me." Leila said in an innocent sounding voice as she looked up.
"What's the matter kid?" The man closest to her asked, the other man ran off after the rest of the group.
"Th-This man just attacked me, but I got away. So what are you doing here?" Leila asked as she looked up at the man the water from the lake looking like dried tears.
"Well I'm glad your okay, but this is no place for a kid there is a very dangerous man on the loose!" The man said as he turned to walk away.
"A dangerous man on the loose? Perhaps it's the man that tried to attack me, what does this dangerous man look like, and what makes him so dangerous?" Leila asked grabbing the man's pant leg.
The man looked like he didn't want to answer but he did any ways, "He has whitish blond hair, tan skin, green goggles, he's tall too, but like I said..." Before he could finish what he was saying his walki-talkie went off. "Where are you John we need you too, He's still by the front gate. Get a move on!" A voice said from the other end. "Well I've got to go kid, get to your house!" He tugged his pant leg to get it out of her hand.
Leila tightened her grip on the man's pant leg so he couldn't get away, "Oh, that guy sounds so much more fun then the one who foolishly tried to attack me whose severed head is now sleeping with the cute little fish at the bottom of the lake." She said all innocence leaving her voice and eyes as she stood up grabbing the man's wrist rather tightly. "Now, what should I do to you for giving me such wonderful information?" Leila said with a malicious tone to her voice and an evil glint in her eye.
"Wh-What the w-wha-what are you?!" He asked struggling to get away.
Leila giggled, "Me, well I'm an adorable vampire." She said her eyes turning blood red and her fangs showing as she smiled before biting the man's neck.
The air carried the smell of gun smoke, "John where are you?! Get over here!!" The walki-talkie went off.
Leila smiled as she threw the man called John's limp body to the ground and picked up the walki-talkie as she licked the blood from her lips. "I'm sorry, but John isn't coming, you'll get the crazy vampire girl instead." She said into the walki-talkie with an evil giggle.
"What?!"The walki-talkie asked.
"Well, I just killed him, and now I'm going to give him to the little fish as a present." Leila said back with an evil giggle as she held the button down on the walk-talkie and pushed John into the lake so the man on the other end could hear the splash.
The walki-talkie didn't reply, but she could feel something interesting was about to happen.
Leila smiled as she threw the walki-talkie in the lake and skipped off in the direction the men went like a malicious school girl.
It didn't take long for her to see a group of men with their guns at the ready.
Fern
Fern gave a primal snarl at the sight brought before her. "It's too decayed. Just look!" She gestured to the zombie in front of her trying to chew on a brick. "How is this supposed to be threatening to anybody?"
The zombie turned toward her as its eye, that was hardly attached, dettached and rolled of its cheek and onto the ground.
"See?" Fern kicked the eyeball aside from where it landed by her foot. "Disgusting, but harmless. Unless some idiot manages to slip this bag of mold." Fern took a deep breath to rebuild her composure. "You've never dissapointed me before." She flashed a sad smile. "Surely, this isn't all you have for me?"
"Umm, yes there are more if you'll follow me." The man with her replied.
"Of course." Fern smiled amiably.
He led her to a cage. There was kid around the age of fifteen passed out in it. "He is a fighter but I think it can be taken out of him."
"Poor thing..." Fern cooed at the cage before turning back to the man. "Species?"
"Alien. I believe... it is always hard to tell with them."
"Abilities?" Fern kept her voice soft, almost motherly as she walked closer to inspect the teenager from outside the cage.
"Pyrokinesis maybe more."
"Ah~" Fern mused, "so this one plays with fire? I suppose that's useful..."
"Aghhh." The boy moaned as he woke.
"Morning~" Fern sang softly.
The boy glared at her. He moved his hand up a little.
"What's your name?" Fern kept her voice calm and soothing.
"What am I doing in a cage?" The boy asked.
"We're going to let you out once we find the keys. There was a mix-up," Fern lied smoothly, "do you remember anything?"
"I see...Chris. I don't remember much sorry." He still seemed unsure.
Fern's brow crinkled and her lips pursed cutely with false sympathy and concern. "You seem so young... Do you have anyone to care for you?"
"I can take care of myself...Well when people don't sneak up on me BUT now I'm ready!" He said getting up as best he could.
Fern frowned at his stumbling. "Are you injured?"
"I guess I injured my ankle." The boy said. He seemed to be a bit more friendly now.
"Well, we'll just have to take care of that, won't we?" Fern replied softly before turning to the other man and subtly signalling for him to unlock the cage. He knew her well enough to know that not playing along and putting on a show of "finding the keys" would have serious consequences.
The man played along, after a while he said, "I belive I found it!" He showed the key and went over to unlock the cage.
Fern gave Chris a disarming smile before she entered the cage and stooped down to inspect the ankle. "This may hurt," she warned before gently prodding the discolored area.
He grunted a bit in pain.
"Oh, dear," Fern pouted a little before turning to the man. "Can you carry him to the lounge? I'm sure he'll be more comfortable there." The glint in her eyes said it wasn't a request.
The man with her nodded and picked Chris up carefully.
Fern led them over to a plush sofa, just barely long enough for Chris to stretch out on, and piled up the accent pillows to prop his leg up.
"Th..thank you." Chris said. Obviously he was not used to kindness (fake or other wise).
"No problem." Fern gave Chris a soft smile. She turned to her brother. "Go bring the healer."
Her brother nodded and went to get the healer.
Loshya:
Loshya set on a bench in the ruins of what used to be a beautiful church. She despised the God that would let America be such a despicable place.
The wind blew heavily outside, but loud boot steps could be heard approaching the doors to the church and a man's cough could be heard.
She hid in the shadows thinking of how she would kill this man.
The door to the church opened and a priest and a young man about fifteen walked inside, "You can stay here for the night my son, I know it's not much, but it's better than being in the cold." The young smiled and bowed, "Thank you sir."
"Looks like I'm going to have to kill a holy man. Heehee soon he'll be VERY holy." She thought as she readied her daggers.
The priest laid down a blanket on one of the pews and two pillows for the young man and set down a big wool blanket to keep the young man warm, "There you are my son, I hope you sleep well." The boy smiled and bowed slightly, "Thank you Father, you're kindness is too much."
"To bad kindness doesn't keep you alive!" She said as she lunged to stab the priest.
The young boy saw Loshya first and pushed the priest down and out of the way so he wouldn't get hurt.
She gave the the boy a quick glare, before grabbing the Priest, this time using her inhuman speed and throwing him across the church.
The Priest hit the wall of the church and slumped down groaning in pain, while the boy could only look on. "What are you?!" The boy asked backing away.
"Tssk, tssk. If you had just stayed away this wouldn't have happened, but now we both are unhappy." She said as she gave the boy an evil grin and let the light through the window shine off her eyes revealing the reddish color. She would give him a chance to run away.
The boy gasped as he saw the red in her eyes, "Y-You're a v-vampire!" The boy said before turning to run away.
She rushed in front of him, "You're going to be a good boy and not tell anyone right?" It wasn't really a question more of a demand with a slight sweet tone.
"Y-Yes ma'am I p-promise." The boy said shaking with fear. as he backed up a little more.
"Good boy. your lucky your still young."She said move slightly so he could get past.
The boy ran past her terrified he didn't even look back to see if the priest was ok or not.
She turned toward the priest, she would take her anger out on him.
The priest groaned in pain he had hit his head pretty hard against the wall.
"Hmm maybe I should eat you." She stared down at him thinking of the best way to kill him. "I know!" She gave a evil grin as she put one dagger back.
"Please don't kill me, I did you no harm." The priest said in a weak voice.
"Did no harm? Are you aware that humans made this mess in the first place?" She asked in a harsh tone.
"Yes, I am aware, but you shouldn't blame the entire race for the ones who made the mistake." The priest said.
"All humans make mistakes, yours was coming here." She said lunging the dagger into his chest.
The priest groaned in pain as he was stabbed in the heart by the young looking girl. "I-I forgive you..." He said as his eyes closed and he died.
She took a few steps back surprised by the priest's words, "Of course you do." She said as she grabbed her dagger and turned to leave.
Suddenly there was a thud as a bucket on the alter fell over and a soft whine could be heard.
She turned around to see what whined.
A small fire red baby fox slowly limped out from behind the alter, it looked like it hadn't eaten in days maybe weeks.
"Poor thing, you must be hungry." Loshya looked at the priest. "I suppose you might eat that but..." she wasn't sure if it would eat a priest.
The fox followed her gaze, sniffed the air and went over to the priest with shining red eyes.
"Oh, looks like you and I are alike." She said grabbing a blanket and looking for some wood so she could make a cast for the fox.
The fox ignored her as it had it's first meal in a long time.
She broke some wood from one of the benches and slowly went toward the fox.
The fox looked up at her as it licked the blood off it's lips.
"Ok hold still while I put this on you." She said trying to carefully put the make-shift cast on it without getting it to angry.
The fox blinked as it stayed still and eyed her carefully.
"I think that does it." She said tying off the cast and smiling at the little fox.
The fox looked at it's leg then up at her before nuzzling her hand to say thank you.
"It's fine, I hope you get better soon." She said patting it, then she got up. "So what's next?"
The fox nuzzled her leg and made a purring noise.
She patted it, "Want to come with me?"
The fox gave a little nod as it licked her leg.
"Alright." She said smiling as she went to leave the church.
The fox stuck by her walking funny due to the cast.
She walked at a good pace so the fox could follow.
The fox had a little trouble walking, but still managed to keep up with Loshya.
She smiled to see the fox's strength.
The fox looked up at her and cocked it's head to the side curiously.
"You're a strong fighter." She said as she walked.
The fox trotted beside her with it's head held high as if it had heard her and found her words pleasing.
Silly thing. She thought to herself as she walked down the road.
The fox followed her walking a little faster.
"I hope there will be something interesting up ahead." She said to the fox.
The fox nodded a little as if it had understood her and was agreeing.
"I think I see a few building up a head." She added with a smirk.
The fox looked up ahead and saw the buildings too.
She headed for the town.
The fox eagerly followed after Loshya.
She entered the town. "Wonder if anyone lives here." She said.
The fox sniffed at the air as they walked.
She started looking around. "Hmm... can this really be called a town."
The fox looked around at the town that was run down and looked more like a ghost town.
"We can probably find a place to sleep at least." She said heading for a very sturdy building.
The fox followed Loshya towards the building wagging it's tail.
Loshya looked for a bed room.
The fox looked around too, once it found a room with something to sleep on, a couch it whined to get Loshya's attention.
"It's better then noth'in, right?" Loshya said going over to it.
The fox nodded as it followed her over to the couch.
Yuki
"Hmm, I wonder if I can eat this without getting sick?" Yuki said looking at some guy who was passed out against a building. The man smelled like he made his on alcohol and then drink the whole thing.
The man snorted and rolled over in his sleep, curling up to warm up and drooling on himself a little.
"Ewwww I can't eat this. So what will I eat?" He said to Mr. Glares trying to forget how much his stomach ached.
There was a clattering sound around the corner.
He let out a slight squeak as he hid to see what was coming.
A half-starved-looking cat ran right past his hiding place, closely followed by a dog with a large festering exspanse of decayed flesh on his hindquarters. The zombie dog's movements were hindered by the infection eating away at the muscles in his hind legs and his legs slid clumsily out from under him from time to time.
Yuki cut in front of the zombie dog, "Stop! Bad dog!... Or... zomdoggie."
The corpse snarled and foamed in response, obviously upset with having it's snack interrupted.
He waited for its attack, as he reminded himself. 'I'm a vampire it can't kill me.'
The zombie dog charged at Yuki with it teeth bared and foam spilling out of its mouth.
At that moment a young man with bright blue eyes and black hair with white streaks in it appeared, he stepped in front of Yuki to protect him and kicked the zombie dog away as he shot at one of it's legs.
"Huh?!" Yuki looked up at the man. Who is this guy and why is he bothering to help me? Yuki wondered.
Temporarily forgetting about both Yuki and the cat, the undead canine stumbled away from the momentum of the bullets.
The man watched the dog stumble away and turned to Yuki, "Are you alright?" He asked with a smile kneeling in front of Yuki.
Yuki backed up, 'I wish he would leave now I can't eat him he would kill me easily' Yuki thought giving a slight nod as he backed up more.
"Are you scared of me? I won't hurt you, I don't hurt little kids." He said with a friendly smile.
"I'm.... I'm not scared." Yuki said more to himself. 'I don't want to be mean to him but I will if I have to.' He thought.
"Well if you're sure, then alright. Do you need help finding your mommy?" The man asked wanting to help the cute little girl.
"No!!..... I know where she is." Yuki sounded angry at first but it turned more sad. He then went and ran down the ally.
"Hey wait, it's dangerous to wander around on your own! Let me take you to your mom." The young man said as he ran after Yuki.
"Leave me alone ugly!!" Yuki yelled he wasn't running very fast do to his hunger.
The man's right eye twitched, 'UGLY?! This little girl did not just call me ugly!' He thought with a growl as he caught up to Yuki grabbing his arm. "Hey! It's not very nice to call someone ugly, how would you like it if I called you ugly?
Yuki had tears streaming down his face he wasn't looking at the man who had just saved him, he was trying to get away as his stomach let out a painful growl.
"Huh? Oh, I get it you're hungry. You're not human that much I know." The young man said sniffing the air near Yuki. "Are you a vampire?"
Yuki now smelled to see what the man was. "Yes."
"I see, want me to help you find a meal?" The young man asked with a slight smile.
"What would you get out of it?" Yuki asked wiping the tears away.
"The good feeling that comes with knowing you helped a child and kept said child from going hungry." The young man said with a smile.
"Your a guy... that is being nice and your telling me there isn't...a...catch?" Yuki asked panting a bit. 'I'll go into soul lust if I don't eat soon.'
"That's right, I couldn't take anything from a little kid. So what do you want to eat?" The young man asked as he noticed Yuki panting.
"I need... a soul." Yuki said holding Mr. Glares tighter.
"Ok, any kind in particular, do you like male or female souls?" The young man asked curiously.
"I.. usually go f..or guys but I..don't care..at this po..int." Yuki said leaning against the wall.
"Got you." The young man said going around the corner and peering out, he smiled as he saw a man who was looking at a map apparently lost. "Help, please help me!" He shouted as he ran towards the man.
"What? What's wrong?" The lost man asked as he looked up from his map looking quite alarmed.
"I-It's my little sister, something's wrong." He said pulling the man towards the alley he had just come from. "My name is Jack by the way.
When the man Jack grabbed saw Yuki he dropped his map in alarm and ran over to him, "My name is Carl, I'm a doctor, what's wrong?"
He quickly made a meal of Carl. "Will I go to H*** for eating a doctor?"
"No, a priest maybe, but not a doctor." Jack said as he turned around to see how Yuki was doing with his meal.
Yuki ate fast. He muttered something about his father.
Jack raised a brow but didn't ask what Yuki was muttering about, he just waited until he finished eating.
"My name's Yuki." He said dropping the doctor.
"Nice to meet you Yuki, my name is Jack." Jack said with a smile and a slight bow.
He didn't say anything for a moment, "Nice to meet you."
"So tell me Yuki, why are you all alone out here?" Jack asked curiously.
