the underworld story and history so far

The underworld lord,no one knows where he came from or where the underworld came from even the oldest of gods cant remember the creation of the underworld or the mysterious one who lords over it.the underworld is a place,one of many where souls go ,the reason souls end up in some places is the person swore their life to a certain diety.the underworld lord has no mortal following the souls he claims come from people who decide not to serve a god or goddess,or are given by a diety to the underworld in trade for the underworld lords services or punishment of the soul.the lord of the underworld has had a hand in many dieties rise to power,soul are common currency when dealing with the lord of the underworld and the more powerful the more they are worth to him becuse he can manipulate the souls he captures into pure power if he feels or keep them intact to live in the underworld for his pleasure.not many mortals know of the existence of the underworld there are many percieved "underworlds" but are all generally misconceptions or confused with another other-wordly plane,the abyss is thought of by most mortals when they think of the underworld but the true underworld is not part of the abyss it is a plane of its own a vast and ever consuming beast ruled over,unlike the abyss which is host to many dieties,by one lord.any kind of creature imagianble may be found here in the underworld,once a soul enters the underworld and is not consumed by the lord it becomes a physical manisfestation in essence lives again.but if one is destroyed here,that is the end of their existance,they are completely wiped out unless the all-powerful one decides otherwise.Recently there have been talks of doing the impossible,overthrowing the underworld lord and freeing the souls that live there
