Unicorns Are Antelope

A big part of improving your art is working on anatomy. The purpose of this wiki is to bring together different sources to help improve elfwood's resident artists' grasp of it.

If you know of any websites, books, tips, etc.. that can be added to this wiki's listings, or suggestions for the page's improvement, please don't hesitate to message me, [CelticDragon], about it.

2004-09-09 [dr]: and thanks a bundle for the centaur skeleton frrame...i've never really been able to figure out the connection between the horse and the man part, so they always look reeeeeeeally akwardly combined...

2004-09-09 [CelticDragon]: None of the new ones are mine. I've got a looong way to go before I'll be able to draw like that. The only one that's mine is the second one on the list. (Dragon skulls.) And yeah, that centaur skeleton is awesome. :)

2004-09-10 [CelticDragon]: Instead of writing what I changed here, I've added (New!) tags next to the latest editions. I also looked the angel wing over again and decided it wasn't very accurate. Hope no one's disappointed about its removal.

2004-09-11 [dr]: meh, its alright. seemed good to me, though....i just watched dragonheart today for the trillionth time!!! it's my alltime # 1 favorite movie!!!!

2004-09-12 [CelticDragon]: I don't know if it's my absolute favorite, but it's definitely one of them. :)

2004-09-12 [CelticDragon]: Only took two days to get the tour published. :)

2004-09-12 [dr]: woah that minotaur skeleton is crazy!

2004-09-12 [CelticDragon]: Isn't it? :)

2004-09-12 [dr]: blarg..i need help on an upright folded bird's wing...got anything for that?

2004-09-13 [CelticDragon]: I'm looking, but I can't find any. Found some more links, maybe one of them will have something close to what you want.

2004-09-13 [CelticDragon]: There's a National Geographic Map of Bird Migratory Paths, if you can find a copy, their wings are in a bunch of different positions. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that if you know anyone who has pet birds, go spend time with them. Some types say "hi" by raising their wings.

2004-09-14 [dr]: the new bird stuff on the other websites part helps a little...but i had no idea that some birds say hi like that!

2004-09-14 [CelticDragon]: lol Yup. I know for a fact that parakeets and cockatiels do.

2004-09-16 [Kurai Tenma]: sweet... this could come in handy.

2004-09-17 [CelticDragon]: Yep. ^_^

2006-06-14 [Cia_mar]: this page whould be a ref link ar Lady of Lore's Useful Hints Corner

2006-06-14 [CelticDragon]: Put it in there. Thanks for telling me about it. :)

2006-06-26 [CelticDragon]: Wow it has been a while since I added an update.. But there's a new gallery of somewhat stylized humanoids with great positions and points of view drawn.

2006-12-07 [H3_six]: Stumbled on this wiki from a link somewhere. Great wiki. *watches*
This link from my bookmarks would feel right at home here.

http://biodidac.bio.uottawa.ca/thumbnails/filedet.htm?File_name=GENE009B&File_type=GIF

It's a comparison of different types of animal wings.

2006-12-10 [CelticDragon]: I put it on the list. :) Thanks.

2006-12-11 [H3_six]: Great ( :
