Scroll 15: Dameon the Desire
Naoko walked through the creepy replica of a small cottage that she remembered seeing somewhere before. "Hello?" she called out, but heard only her footsteps and the echo of her own voice.
"Hey there, beautiful," Vicente appeared in her dream, leaning against the wall before her.
Naoko had to admit that he looked good in her dream as well as in reality. The way the light hit him made him that much more desirable. She could practically taste him from the five feet that stood between them. She looked him up and down and ended her lascivious thoughts instantly. His necklace is missing. This isn't Vicente, she thought.
"What's wrong?" Vicente's form stepped forward and brushed the tips of his fingers along her jaw line.
"You're not Vicente. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop acting and looking like him, now."
How can she tell the difference between the real one and myself?
"I said NOW!" Naoko growled.
The vampire couldn't resist her desire--him returning to his previous state. He morphed back into his vampyric self that he hadn't been in nearly fifty years. His long black hair was longer, now; his red eyes gleamed with misunderstandi
ng as his lithe body tried to steady itself in her dream.
"Are you a threat to me?" Naoko demanded. She was putting on such a mask that she knew she couldn't sound too convincing. She closed her eyes and wished that Vicente was at her side as he usually was.
Vicente's body hit the bed as his spirit was drawn into Naoko's mind. Bonnie managed to slide the rest of his body onto the mattress, completely aware of what had just happened to the vampire.
Vicente appeared, holding Naoko's hand in her dream, "So, you figured out that you were dreaming?" Naoko lit up at the sound of Vicente's voice and nodded. "What do you want me to do with him, Mistress?"
"Get rid of him..." Naoko replied as she glared coldly at the unfamiliar vampire.
"Mistress?" Dameon asked in a whisper.
"As you wish," Vicente replied. The force of Vicente's charge forced the vampire out of Naoko's dream and left them alone in the cottage. Vicente turned back to the awestruck Naoko, "What were you dreaming about, anyway?"
"N-nothing!"
Vicente blinked in confusion, "Oh...Okay? Just wish me away when you want me gone."
"I never really want you gone...but astral projection might prove a negative on our side in this situation," Naoko replied. She gave Vicente a hug and a kiss on his lips before stepping away from him.
Vicente smirked at her, "That almost felt real."
"I'll see you on the other side...and thank you," Naoko whispered.
Vicente woke in his body, facing Naoko on the single mattress. He knew immediately why the kiss had felt so real: her lips were still pressed to his, even after he woke from her dream. Naoko stirred too, and ended up breaking their kiss as she sat up. "Welcome back, both of you." Bonnie whispered.
"What happened?" Naoko asked.
"A vitality vampire," Bonnie replied simply.
"Thanks for coming to my rescue," Naoko mussed Vicente's hair.
He was sitting in the near darkness, still remembering her soft lips against his in the surrealism and right before she woke from her dream. "Huh?"
"I was thanking you again."
"It's what I do," Vicente replied, smiling.
"I'll go get your breakfast ready." Bonnie said, leaving the room quickly, even for her age.
"Did the dream kiss feel that real?" Naoko asked.
Vicente turned red since she more or less read his mind, "Actually, it did feel pretty real."
"There's only one way to be sure," Naoko whispered.
"Hmm?" Vicente asked.
Naoko grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled it down to reveal where Human Heart still dangled against his ivory flesh. "It really is you."
Vicente blushed, anticipating another intimate gesture, "Umm…who else would it be?" Vicente quirked an eyebrow at his Mistress, "And isn't it a little early for breakfast?"
"It's three in the morning…so no, not to my grandmother." Naoko replied.
Dameon sat on the roof of the house he was just inside of in a sense. His long black hair fluttered in the breeze that cut through the night air, "He called her 'Mistress'...and I want to know how she knew I wasn't what she desired. Looks like I'm sticking around a little longer than I intended without having to draw energy from anybody."
