Background:
Vance was borne into a middle class family, A twin sister Divina, who was obviously the brains to his brawn. He never had a hate for the Federation. In fact he had quite the love for his Federation, and knew that he would one day be a soldier and defend the federation from any threats that may come to her door. Vance never imagined that he would be taking the lives of federation citizens who merely spoke there mind, or posted the wrong thing on the internet.

It was a horrid time defection, insurgency, fear, and action. Vance now the age of twenty four found himself a member of the Special Forces of the Federation. The open ground war with the Republic at a stand still for a time his business of finding and snuffing out Insurgency groups in Federation space was booming. Vance was then ordered to do the unthinkable. He was to kill everyone in the facility of a suspected but non confirmed Insurgency cell. Intel had already reported the building to be housing women, children, and non combatants. Vance followed his orders. Then broke down after. He was sent for a Physiological evaluation, and according to the doctor he was no longer fit for service. Vance was discharged, Medical retirement.

It was all a lie though. Vance did feel sorrow for what he had done, but understood that if he had not then he would have been in the ground as well. He took up a life as a freelance mercenary, fighting for the highest bidder. only two rules, no non combatants. Pay half up front. He did shady work under cover, posing as five different mercenaries, all wearing full combat armor that covered his face. He worked for both the Republic, and for the Federation. It was only a year later his sister Divina cought up to him, and asked why he left the Marines. He told her the story, and some how a year later she had a ship, and was out of the Navy. Ready to Captain her brothers transportation, and her dream ship brought to life. Vance do this day dose not know how she got the Spirit of Fire, and most of the time he would rather not know.
