Xiadomian arena
Üsserhadd and Valiant entered the arena, taking in the sweet smell of cherry blossoms in the air. "Sweet digs." he whispered on the passing breeze, and looked around for the referee of the arena. After spotting her, the knight waved his hand around and shouted, "Ahoy Missy! I'm not the first one here am I? I'm going to stick around for a while until someone else arrives, I think we're going to rock this place."
"Hai, you are the first warrior to arrive."
Taki answered. She looked at the Ravillan Knight with little facial expression as she asked: "What battle shall you be fighting, when this other arrives?"
Mika walked into the Arena, pausing momentarily to say: "Och, this looks kinda fancy." but as soon as he saw Usserhadd, he stepped towards the Knight. Noticing the referee, which he'd never seen before, he made a quick bow before her, greeting and introducing himself. "Greetings, Sir Mika Hakan, at your service." and turned towards Usserhadd.
"What's the big idea? I thought we were going to have a stroll around the Asfeltas caves, or wipe out some seannite cult on Koe, kick some ass, instead of hanging around in Arenas?"
Humming an old Ravillan tune as he strolled into the arena, admiring the beautiful and tranquil scenery of the place,
Virul momentarily halted in surprise when his eyes came upon Usserhadd and Mika in the arena. Initially confused, the thief approached the duo with a wave of his bamboo hat and greeted aloud, "Well met, Sirs Mika and Usserhadd! Have thee both had prior engagements here?"
Tiae entered the arena right after Virul walking quite fast, as she had tried to catch up with Mika and not get lost on the way.
Sheba entered right after the girl, and headed straight to a shadow where she could lie for a moment. Tiae looked a bit stranged at the warrior gathering that was taking place in the arena. "Uh- Hello", she said, "what's this? Are we doing some special quest today?" she asked, looking at Virul, whom she hadn't seen in quite a while.
Slightly jumping in startlement as Tiae's voice appeared behind him,
Virul turned around and stared blankly at the young Caerhamian for a second before coming back to his senses and grinning pleasantly enough "Hm hm, lovely lady Tiae, it's been too long", he said in greeting, "As for what this gathering is about, I am afraid I'm as clueless as you are at the moment. Mayhaps I hath intruded in a current engagement, though I was fairly certain this arena was available..."
"I have an excellent idea, especially with everyone here."
Üsserhadd said with a coy grin, "Referee, give us your toughest, nastiest, most vile arena monster. I propose we kick its ass for you. Let's make this one hell of a christening for the new arena."
"Aaah, so you all wanted to participate in this, hm?"
Virul chuckled before as he shrugged his shoulders, "Well, the more the merrier, though I would like to wait for my current companion to arrive before we begin. Her affairs should be finished sometime soon, I should hope." He constantly glanced over to the arena entrance to see if Dayo had arrived as he spoke, "I've never participated in these events before. Truth is, it truly hath been ages ago when I last fought in the arena. Hopefully I won't be too rusty in this, ha ha." Having finished speaking, Virul stood around quietly for a moment longer before deciding to put away his epees and instead equipping his composite bow and a regular arrow.
"A Circus Maximus challenge it will be then."
Taki concluded from all the conversations around her. With this party, she was beginning to fear that this might mean the Arena would need some repairing down to it right after the first battle. "We shall wait for your final combatant then?"
Mika looked around, and all the angry feelings washed right off him. With this group of fighters, this battle would be one of the biggest, if not the biggest in Arena history. He couldn't possibly turn his back on that, now could he? He looked around, and gave a big grin. "Alright! This is more like it! We'll just wait for whomever Virul is expecting to show up, and have the biggest bloodiest showdown this arena has seen in ages!"
Stepping into the arena,
Dayo looked around, surveying the people that were in the arena other than Virul, his wolf, and the person she identified as the referee, "Well, I'm here now, and ready for action," she said as she hefted her axe up to a battle stance.
"Hoo yeah."
Üsserhadd said, pressing his hands together, "I'm going to like this. Maybe we should get Take to make it 3 separate monsters, some tough bastards. Need to get my blood pumping. I won't be satisfied unless I get a good workout."
"Hmmm, 5 of us, plus each of you has a pet with you. We could take on 3 creatures fairly easily. I say we go for it,"
Dayo said, taking a few swings through the air with her axe.
"You're a bit confident for a young..."
Üsserhadd said, but paused a moment and squinted his eyes, "Hey I know you, you were the kid I brought along when I slew that mummy cat." The knight scratched his head and then shrugged his shoulders, "Well okay, if you think you can play the big leagues then you can stick around." Üsserhadd remembered the last brave child who tagged along with this crew, Uthgar, who ended up dead and sunken deep into Kwall waters.
"Hey, you are that knight I fought that cat with in the Caerham arena. I may seem cocky, but I just call it faith in my abilities. Heck, bring on a fourth monster and we could probably take it too. I can hold my own with any group, so I don't want anyone baby-sitting me,"
Dayo said in a long stretch, especially for her. She
was confident that they could take on a number of creatures, they were all accomplished fighters after all.
"So the very strongest?"
Virul asked with a grin, the thrill of a challenge stirring excitement within him, "Well well, I should certainly better prepare myself then. If you will all excuse me, I shall return soon enough after some extra preparations." That said, after telling Roue to stay, the thief dashed for the coliseum.
Keeping true to his word,
Virul returned to the arena and, after petting Roue in greeting, eyed the rest of the group with a lazy expression.
Tiae decided to imitate Virul, and hurried to leave the arena. "I'll be back in a second", she said to everyone.
Sheba waited for her return in the shade.
watching as some of the fighters came and went,
Dayo began to grow a little impatient with waiting, so she took her voulge under her shoulder, and leaned on the flat edge of the top, and she took another long glance across the other participants, before seeing another familiar face that she thought she had seen before in Mika, "Hey, you, didn't I fight with you before too? In the Caerhamian arena against that snakeman?"
"Yes, indeed you did."
Mika replied in a friendly manner. "And now we fight together once more, although I assume this adversary will be much more lethal than any snakeman."
He looked around, thinking Tiae was away for quite some time now, but patience was virtue, and the Knight still felt they shouldn't start before she'd come back.
Dayo, who was now running a fingernail along the blade of her axe and looking at the blade, gave a little snort at hearing the knight say this was going to be a tough battle, "I live for that tough fight, I just hope that mage gets back soon."
"I'm sure lady Tiae will be with us as soon as she can possibly manage."
Mika replied, petting
Audun on the head. The Silveron was patiently waiting along with his master, looking curiously at the warriors in the arena.
By now,
Üsserhadd took to some snoring. The knight did not handle idle time very well, and Dayo was barely interesting enough to keep his attention. Mika and Virul were no lookers either, particularly enough to keep Üsserhadd awake enough to attempt a conversation. No ill will intended, just basic instinct and brutal honesty.
Tiae zoomed into the arena. "I'm sorry it took this long!" she said, stopping a moment to breath. "There was this huge line at the smiths. But I guess we're all here now, right?" she said, hoping they wouldn't be angry.
Sheba meowed and stood up, walking closer to the caerhamian girl and sitting again by her side.
"It has been decided!" declared Taki after a long moment of silence. She took out a scroll, stood up and started reading the strange words aloud. Compared to usual scrolls, it took a while to read, but when she finished, four figures appeared out of nowhere close to the middle of the arena! They were elementals, one of each color element: a barely visible gust of wind flying in the air, a mermaid-looking mass of water in the pool, a ball of fire floating above the ground and a shamble of rock and earth standing on the ground.
Battle started!

Round 1!
The air elemental immediately flew to F14 and casted Wind Slash, targeting Üsserhadd!
Üsserhadd didn't have much chance to evade the incoming winds and was squarely hit for 18 damage.
Virul's turn!
Having equipped his bow and arrow prior to the commencement of the battle,
Virul smiled slightly as he ran to C17. Stopping there, he aimed with his composite bow and shot an arrow toward the Air Elemental. As he did this, he made note to try and heal Usserhadd when the chance presented itself.
Virul's arrow didn't come even near to hitting the air elemental; the projectile was harmlessly deflected by its whirling winds!
The water elemental didn't see it necessary to get out of the pool. It just floated there and casted Ice Fang. Though it was too far away to pick the area with the most people on it, it settled for the next best option, D19–G22, leaving Roue, Valiant, Mika, Tiae and Dayo under some falling ice.
Dayo, who happened to be stuck directly under where the ice was set to fall, saw the oncoming threat, not thinking that she'd be able to defend the falling ice very well, she went to jump out of the range of the falling ice, back towards C21.
Tiae imitated Dayo's strategic decision and moved back to G23 as fast as she could, trying not to get hit by the ice.
Roue panicked, this having been his first battle, and tried to get away from the ice attack (Lightning Speed).
Valiant darted away the same as Roue, avoiding as much of the ice as possible. (Lightning Speed)
While Tiae and Dayo were quick enough to sidestep the falling ice, Mika, Valiant and Roue weren't so fortunate and took 6 damage each!
Audun's turn!
"Audun! Go around!"
Mika yelled, pointing at the Air elemental.
Audun charged towards the end of the the eastern bridge (N25), blocking off the exit. Sort of.
The fire elemental moved to J15 and casted Heat Beam on the closest enemy, Üsserhadd.
Again, the knight had little chance to evade the strong magical power. The scorching ray dealt 20 HP worth of damage and Üsserhadd fell unconscious, his armor smoking!
Shebah's turn!
Tiae wasn't very sure about how to make
Sheba acomplish a successfull attack, so for the moment, she sent the panther to the other end of the bridge. "Go!", she said, and Sheba obeyed runing up to C15.
Valiant's turn!
Valiant yelped as he was struck with ice, and scampered off with Shebah to C16.
Tiae's turn!
Tiae moved closer to the bridge and stood behind Üsserhadd's unconscious body, worried that the knight had fallen so fast and wondering how were they going to defeat the elementals. She blew the trumpet she had gotten from the kwall, casting steam jet on the air elemental.
The air elemental just whirled around and evaded the boiling steam easily!
Dayo's turn!
Watching as Sir Usserhad fell,
Dayo ran over to his side (E18), pulling out one of her healing potions and pouring it into his throat.
Üsserhadd healed 18 HP!
Roue's turn!
Being particularly useless for this battle, as well as fearful,
Roue dashed off to L25.
Mika's turn!
Seeing Usserhadd got healed again,
Mika decided he'd try and patch up the knight later, should there be need again. For now, he moved next to Audun (M24), in order to charge onto the middle island on their next turn.
Üsserhadd's turn!
Üsserhadd woke up in a rage, jumping to his feet and squaring his eyes on the air elemental. "You're mine, bitch." he grunted, and ran as quickly as he could to E14 and struck at the elemental with his longsword as hard as he could. (Heroic Strength)
The knight managed to get up and run almost under the air elemental, but couldn't attack before it turned to him.
The earth elemental got to moving, but as it was so slow, it didn't have time to do anything else.
Round 2!
The air elemental took a step down and in front of Üsserhadd, and casted Lightning bolt on him. It was just powerful enough to reach Dayo as well!
Dayo seeing the lightning bolt streaking towards her, and she jumped back, intentionally dropping to a knee so if the lightning bolt carried on to where she landed, it may soar over her head.
Dodging Lightning was certainly not in
Üsserhadd's skills, the gods must be crazy if they thought he had any other option than blocking. To appease them though, the knight took up his shield and scoffed at the elemental. Should the wispy fart of magic happen to do any damage to him, Üsserhadd would at least be given the enjoyment of a tough fight.
Üsserhadd nearly fell on his face as he totally fumbled his blocking, but luckily the strike of lightning just bounced off his armor—toward Dayo, who did a good attempt at dodging the lightning, but not good enough. Dayo was hit for 17 damage!
Virul's turn!
Virul let out a "Tch!" from under his breath as his first attack failed to hit its target. Deciding to switch opponents, the thief notched a bolt arrow on to his bow and shot it toward the Fire Elemental, hoping its flame defense wouldn't be enough to prevent the arrow from hitting its mark. If it could stun the elemental in the process, so much the better.
The fire elemental tried to swat away the arrow with its flaming hands, but wasn't very successful and the arrow dealt 5 damage before burning away!
The water elemental continued swimming in the water and took a step to I12 before casting Ice fang again, leaving Virul, Valiant, Tiae and Dayo in its area.
Sighing as he concluded that this battle was going to be tougher than he expected,
Virul decided to put a bit more effort into it as he attempted to dodge the incoming magical attack.
Seeing that she was becoming another part of the elemental's attacks again,
Dayo was amassed into a
frenzy, as she jumped aside from the spells area.
Once again,
Tiae run away from the water elemental's attack fast, while thinking how to get rid of them.
Valiant tried to dash away from the falling ice, hoping that some luck would befall its poor canine head.
Virul and Dayo managed to evade the ice easily, but Tiae and Valiant weren't so lucky, taking 10 damage each! Valiant fainted!
Audun's turn!
Audun sprinted toward L11 upon hearing a subsequent order from his master.
The fire elemental didn't care much for the earth elemental as it took a step to I14 and casted Flamethrower, hitting Üsserhadd, Sheba, Virul, Dayo and Tiae!
Virul's eyes widened somewhat as he saw the incoming attack. Not too worried himself on the attack hitting him, the thief was instead concerned that the rest of his allies won't come out of it unscathed. Unwillingly triggering his
lightning speed, the thief attempted to slide under the flames and head to E17.
Getting tired of the constant attacks, passing from ice to fire,
Tiae tried to flee from the flames running as fast as she could.
Still frenzied at the insistant elemental attacks,
Dayo tried to duck behind the line of the earth elemental to dodge the attacks.
With his shield focused on deflecting lightning,
Üsserhadd tried cutting away at the fire with his sword, at least to deflect the majority away from him as much as possible with his indomitable constitution.
While Virul and Dayo were quite successful in dodging the flames, Tiae and Sheba weren't, taking 20 damage each and falling to the ground, dead! Both Üsserhadd and the earth elemental blocked half of the flames, taking 10 damage.
Dayo's turn!
Dayo side-stepped her current location, so she was standing kitty-corner to Virul, lining up a path to run and land next to Usserhadd, she took off at a run, attempting to jump across the ravine and onto the bridge so she could swing her axe at the hovering elemental.
Dayo didn't even need to jump as she nimbly got on the bridge. Naturally, the air elemental tried to dodge Dayo's strike and was successful; Dayo ended up swishing the harmless air instead.
Roue's turn!
Roue ran toward M17. There wasn't much the poor pup could do in this battle, but it at least attempted to try.
Mika's turn!
Seeing the elementals focusing their efforts on the other members of the party,
Mika headed off to I19 and casted Heal 2 on Usserhadd, knowing his magic range was enough for the spell to reach through successfully.
Mika started casting Heal 2!
Üsserhadd's turn!
Üsserhadd was getting frustrated with these blobs of matter, and with the Air Elemental in reach, he finally exacted his vengeance on it. Using a heroic strike, the knight hoped he could at least deal some damage. Knowing the elementals were probably going to wail on him afterwards, he prepared a defensive stance after the strike.
Seeing Üsserhadd prepare a mighty blow, the air elemental used its Lightning speed and became even shiftier. However, the knight's strike went through and dealt 7 damage!
Round 3!
Surprisingly, the air elemental regenerated 5 HP and decided in fact that Üsserhadd was an annoying pain, so it casted two Windslashes, both on him unless he fell, in which case it would target Virul.
"Haha!"
Üsserhadd shouted, gritting his teeth. He held up sword and shield against the slashes, hoping that he would at least provide barrier enough that Virul would not get a taste of the wind.
Üsserhadd easily deflected the wind slash but took 8 damage and fell down again! The other Wind slash then came at Virul.
Virul held back a groan as he attempted to sidestep the incoming wind slash.
Virul dodged the ripping winds with remarkable ease and ended up in a good position to start his turn.
Virul's turn!
Initially undecided as to whether to heal Usserhadd or attack the fire elemental first,
Virul felt he had nothing else to lose as his party members dwindled in numbers. That fire elemental was proving to be too much of a pest. Taking a step to C18, he notched another Bolt Arrow on to his bow and let it fly toward the fire elemental. Sooner or later, preferably sooner, the blasted creature will get stunned by the attack.
Virul's arrow flew through the air and hit the fire elemental straight in the middle of it, dealing a whole of 21 damage! The fire elemental seemed to squirm just slightly and then stop moving and flaming aggressively.
The water elemental concluded that since the warriors weren't in big piles anymore, it should just target each of them individually. Seeing Virul's powerful attack against the fire elemental, it decided to target him next. It still stayed in the pool, casting Geiser on Virul, who noticed the ground under him starting to shake and steam! However, after the air elemental's attack, Virul was a little unaware and didn't have time to step away from the steam of boiling water that shot up from the ground. It dealt altogether 20 damage and sent the fencer flying far past the boundaries of the arena! At that moment, Taki intervened and returned Virul falling back to the actual arena by reading another scroll. Virul then fell straight into the water in I16.
Audun's turn!
Getting enraged (
rage) as the battle wore on,
Audun dashed toward the Air Elemental and attempted to bite into the air elemental with its fangs.
Audun charged madly at the air elemental and nearly caught it completely unaware. The silveron bit and tore the creature of air for a total of 14 damage!
The fire elemental was stunned!
Dayo's turn!
Seeing the Air elemental now harshly injured,
Dayo hefted her axe up for another swing at the wispy, cloud-like creature, swinging from behind her head in a high arc, trying to strike down the caster of the elementals.
Unfortunately for Dayo, the air elemental evaded her strike with ease!
Roue's turn!
Roue headed to H17.
Mika's turn!
Mika finished his healing spell on Üsserhadd, and decided to get out of the Earth elemental's way. As it was slow, Mika figured they'd best avoid it until they'd picked off the rest of the elementals. So he moved to (L15).
Üsserhadd healed 18 HP!
Üsserhadd's turn!
After having been resuscitated for the second time,
Üsserhadd was beginning to get a little pissed off at these elementals. Without even a second begrudging guess, the knight hacked at the air elemental with his sword. His eye was on the earth elemental next, thinking that he could at least stand toe-to-toe with the muddish rock man.
The air elemental shifted and moved and made Üsserhadd's mediocre attack miss!
The earth elemental was a little perplexed by the fast-moving people and decided to smash the closest creature. Therefore, it took a step back and attempted to splat Roue.
Roue yelped and attempted to dodge the attack.
Roue didn't have much chance to evade the huge hand that smashed it from above. The earth elemental dealt a whole of 16 damage, making Roue a wet spot containing blood, entrails, fur and bone pieces.
Round 4!
The air elemental knew it wasn't exactly in a good shape even after it had healed 5 HP, so it moved out to E18 and casted another Wind slash at Üsserhadd.
Üsserhadd lifted his shield and tried to brace against the winds. These elementals were sure to pick on him for all he was worth, but at least if he were getting abused, none of his allies were.
Üsserhadd seemed to get overly confident in his defensive capabilities and managed to totally blow his blocking by waving his buckler to one side and the sword to the other. The Wind slash ripped right through his body and dealt 18 damage, making him faint again!
Virul's turn!
Never having taken so much damage in one attack before, hell, never having taken so much damage period,
Virul's eyes widened in shock as he gritted his teeth to contain the damage he experienced. Getting out of the water by stepping on to I17, the thief proceeded to quickly cast Haste on himself before casting Heal 1 on Usserhadd immediately afterward. The poor knight was often targeted and seemed to have terrible luck in this battle.
Virul managed to get out of the pool and successfully casted Haste on himself, increasing his DEX to 13! However, he didn't have time to cast Heal anymore.
The water elemental floated contently in the water and casted a Frost beam spell at both Audun and Dayo.
Dayo braced her axe in front of her, bracing an arm behind the handle, trying to use the blade of the axe to cut through the beam.
Audun jumped aside in order to evade the freezing ray.
Dayo only barely managed to block the incoming ray, where as Audun didn't even really see it coming. The ray thoroughly froze the silveron, dealing 19 damage and leaving it barely able to move!
Audun's turn!
The silveron yelped as he was hit by the frost beam and small shards of ice formed all over his skin. Enraged still,
Audun wasn't quite ready to give up and disappoint his master. Gathering as much strength as he could, Audun tried to run across the bridge, and hit the Air Elemental once more.
Audun scuttled to D17, but as soon as it tried to strain itself to attack the air elemental, it curled up in pain and fainted!
Dayo's turn!
Seeing the battle drag on much longer than she wanted,
Dayo hefted up her axe again, lashing out at the Air elemental, hoping to fell it, so they had one less opponent to worry about.
Dayo went to D18 to hit the elemental, but it saw her intentions from far away and evaded her attack with ease!
Mika's turn!
"Audun!"
Mika screamed as he saw his loyal pet get blasted and hit the floor when he tried to keep on fighting. Momentarily losing most of his prudence, Mika charged the fire elemental, and tried to
Smite it with his blade!
Mika successfully smited the fire elemental who took 11 damage and got out of its stun!
The earth elemental picked up its huge hand and attempted to splat Virul now.
Hoping his enhanced speed was enough to help him out,
Virul hopped back to I18 to try and avoid the attack.
Virul was by far too fast for the earth elemental's slow fist, and he evaded the strike rather sloppily.
Round 5!
Figuring it could fall two warriors at the same time, the air elemental took a step to E17 and casted a Wind slash at both Virul and Dayo.
Having evaded the first attack,
Virul briefly eyed the air elemental before spinning aside in order to evade the wind slash.
Dayo, pretty sure she wouldn't be able to dodge well, she set up another defense with her axe, again trying to use it s a sheild for her face.
The air elemental's spells had become rather predictable and both Virul and Dayo succeeded! However, as the Wind slash couldn't be properly blocked, Dayo still took 10 damage and fell unconscious!
Virul's turn!
Virul just tried to catch his breath.
The water elemental saw it fit to shoot Mika with a frost arrow, seeing as it was out of mana.
Mika tried to defend against the frost arrow.
Mika didn't really have any trouble blocking the little freezing arrow; it bounced harmlessly off his shield!
The fire elemental took a step to I13 and casted Flamethrower, targeting both Mika and Virul!
Watching as his allies dropped like flies,
Virul sighed, depressed, as he half-heartedly tried to dodge the incoming attack. By now, there really was no way for his group to survive this battle.
"Nesha watch over me..."
Mika mumbled as he saw the sea of flames approaching, and he tried to seek cover behind his shield.
Virul, tired of the battle, couldn't protect himself from the devastating flames that dealt 19 damage and nearly completely burned his body, killing him instantly! Mika, then again, was well protected behind his shield, but the spilling heat and flames still got to him and dealt 9 damage.
Mika's turn!
Slightly aware than he was the last one left,
Mika positioned himself behind the fire elemental in I14, so that he would be covered slightly from the water elemental, and then attacked the fire elemental, hoping he might be able to kill at least one elemental.
Mika struck the fire elemental with uncanny precision, splitting it in half and dealing 22 damage! The elemental flashed and disappeared, even though the flames dealt 5 damage to Mika as well.
The earth elemental slowly made its way to J14 and had enough time to try and squish Mika!
"Bloody rock..."
Mika mumbled. He was proud of himself that he took down one of the elementals, but hoped that he wasn't finished just yet. In another attempt to save himself, he raised his shield again, supporting it with his other hand as well, hoping he could deflect the blow before it would reach his head.
Mika managed to block most of the earth elemental's blow, but the bad strain and heavy impact still shook his body and dealt 5 damage!
Round 6!
The air elemental saw it fit to target Mika with two Wind slashes.
Mika tried to jump out of the way, thinking he wouldn't be able to take any more punches.
The air elemental utterly failed its first spell as it fizzled as a little gust of wind among its windy body. The second Wind Slash wasn't much better, and even with his heavy armor, Mika managed to step aside!
The water elemental promptly shot another Frost arrow at Mika.
As the onslaught continued,
Mika kept using his shield to defend against the attacks. Now, he raised it in front of his face to cover himself from the frost arrow.
The little arrow didn't have much chance to go through Mika's formidable defense.
Mika's turn!
Mika made his way to D14 and cast
Heal 1 on Usserhadd's body.
With a faint flash of light, some of Üsserhadd's wounds closed and he was suddenly conscious again, sprawled on the bridge.
Üsserhadd's turn!
Having been revived several times in this fight, the knight was beginning to be a little frustrated with his magical weakness. He sought out a target, and fixed his eyes on the water elemental. "You're mine." he said, glaring his eyes and leaped to a run at the construct, swinging his sword once the gap between them closed.
After getting up and running toward the water elemental, Üsserhadd didn't have time to hit it before it reacted.
The earth elemental, then again, noticed how Mika ran beyond its reach, and thus took a slow step toward Üsserhadd and tried to crush him instead.
Üsserhadd raised up his shield against the crushing blow of the earth elemental.
The earth elemental's huge fist bounced off the knight's shield like a mere pebble!
Round 7!
The air elemental continued with its strategy of casting Wind slashes, targeting both Mika and Üsserhadd.
Knowing he couldn't dodge the attack for the life of him,
Üsserhadd took a defensive stance with his longsword and hoped he had just enough strength to ward it away. (Defensive Stance)
Having seen earlier that blocking these things didn't help much,
Mika once more took his chances of dodging the blow, seeing it was all or nothing.
Üsserhadd deflected some of the Wind slash ridiculously easily, but the slash still dealt 9 damage and he fell unconscious once again! Mika, then again, couldn't evade the ripping winds and took 18 damage as his body was torn apart!
Battle ended! Audun, Dayo and Üsserhadd received 693 XP each!
Taki got up promptly, lifted a shining stone, spoke one word and the elementals disappeared in a flash of light and spell sigils. She then walked unhurriedly amongst the falled warriors, looking at them with a detached attitude. To revive them, she placed an X-shaped piece of shining white cloth on each of the dead ones and then read another long scroll. As the result, the died ones' souls were called forth from the netherworld and returned to their barely conscious bodies! Having done that, Taki casted a spell herself and all the warriors were restored to full health and magic.
"The battle is over. You have lost." After a small pause, she went: "Try again?"
Tiae got up from the floor, a little disoriented as it usually happened when she had been, well, dead. "We lost?" she repeated, looking at the bodies around, locating
Sheba soon enough and grabbing her into her arms.
Groaning in pain as he slowly got up from the ground,
Virul gazed about at the battlefield and shook his head in a depressed manner. This being his first official defeat did not suit too well with the thief, though he decided to move on and think a bit more positively, "Mayhaps a bit of better planning and spacing among us would have led to more favorable results, hm hm. It seems our being near to each other as far as terrain hath only made it easier to target us with ranged spells." Cracking his neck a little and drying off his attire as best he could, Virul began to walk out of the arena, Roue in tow, while saying aloud, "So it seems a bit more training and armor improvement is in order. I shall be in the smiths should anyone need me. Faretheewell."
Mika still lay on the ground, facing the sky above him. He only lifted a hand and a pointed finger, saying: "I agree with Sir Virul." He then dropped his hand, and lay on the ground a little longer.
Audun had picked himself up, and strolled over to his fallen master. Licking Mika's face in order to get him up, the Silveron seemed fairly calm under the circumstances of just having been healed back to health.
"Alright, alright."
Mika said, and he got up. He stretched himself, and badde the rest of the combatants farewell. "We should do this again soon, but first, I wish to make some preparations. Until later, my friends."
He and Audun then left the arena.
"Okay... I guess I'll go too", said
Tiae leaving the arena as well, still carrying Sheba in her arms. "See you later", the girl said.
