Whimsy Girl review

I rather like the lovely story and the cute illustrations. This artist and author exhibits a lot of talent. I do have some concern though that the vocabulary choice is too advanced for the age of the target audience, and that a simpler, lower grade reading level selection of works might be more appropriate. While an adult could read this to their children, I suspect unless they are quite advanced readers, there will be many questions as to what the words mean.

The vehicle for the story is in my opinion going to make it more difficult for the age group this is meant for to be able to follow it, and its unlikely they would read it on their own, which in the end is something I would think desirable for a child's book.

Only my opinion of course and I do not claim by any means to be an expert on literature. I do wish the author / artist all the best with their journey into the publishing world.
