1)The Banshee of Calsax: According to local legends she appeared around 1421 and there are many records of her. Calsax has death records attributing the victims deaths to be the result of the Banshee's call. She went silent and stories died down about her nearly a hundred years ago but recently stories have resurfaced about her including attributing some of the disappearances to her handiwork. She is said to move around the outskirts of the village in what is called the Saxon woods.
The legends say that if you go out of the village by yourself at night you might see a glimpse of her moving through the woods.
2)The Dullahan of Calsax: The Dullahan is said to dwell deep within Saxon Woods. Legend has it that many have died as a result of the Dullahan, some of the vanished are attributed to the Dullahan's work, stating it would devour the bodies afterward.

1)The legend of Alp-luachra Pond: There is a large pond near Calsax in the Saxon Woods. It is said that the Pond and the banks of the pond are the property of a large settlement of Alp-luachras and that they prey on any who venture near the pond alone.
Legend has it that at the bottom of the pond are the bodies of the dead.

1)Calsax' Cat Sìth: Legend has it that Calsax has its own Cat sith who ventures near the ruins. It is said that if you go to the ruins on a clear night you will spot the Cat sith stalking the ruins.
2)The Old Saxon Wood Ruins: In addition to the legend of the Cat Sith, the old ruins themselves are said to posses dark and mysterious magic. There are numerous stories stemming from the old ruins and one that stands out the most is that if you venture there alone you may be added to the list of the vanished.
3)The Glowing Stones: This one is a strange one, going back a hundred and fifty years. The story goes that the woods around the old ruins were used for Druid practices. It is said that during one of the rituals they sacrificed a god in disguise, when the god's blood fell on the stone slab he laid on, ancient writings etched itself into the stones, naming each one of the druids who had a part in his death. The Druids fearing retribution for what they had done broke the slab and scattered the evidence. It is said that the slab pieces are scattered around the woods. If you are around the woods at midnight and you see a soft glow of rainbow colors it is said to belong to a piece of the slab calling for the others to prove the guilt of the god's killers.

1)"Sluagh" Cemetery The cemetery originally was called Calsax cemetery it got its name when many people began to claim they saw the spirits of the dead walking among the headstones. Eventually complaint and reports got so great that the cemetery was renamed and eventually they established a different cemetery, closing "Sluagh" cemetery as a functioning cemetery.
Still today there are many claims of seeing the dead walking through the old cemetery.
2)Calsax's Werewolf: This legend first began to be told in 1908 and is still told today. It is said that a werewolf prowls the grounds of "Slaugh" cemetery, many claim that if you go to the cemetery on a clear moonlit night you will see him prowling for fresh victims.

The Vanished: These stories can be backed with documented proof of disappearances. The documented cases go back to 1919 but many of the locals claim there disappearances well before the documented cases.
All agree that the Vanished all had a few things in common:
1) They all were at a point of change in their life (divorce, death of a loved one, new job, move, etc...)
2)All of them at one point or another had paranormal experiences.
3)All of them at one point or another ventured into the woods or old ruins.
4)(Believed but not yet proven) Majority of the Vanished were into the occult or astronomy, perhaps both.
5) All were healthy prior to their disappearance.
6)When people disappeared there was no sign of them, as though they had vanished into thin air.
7) Same number of males and females vanishing at the same time.
8)All of them had a connection to Calsax prior to their disappearance.
