2009-12-09 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: 1.) Yes, this is based off an anime/manga called Wolf's Rain. It takes place after that show has ended.
2.) No, you don't really need to know the entire storyline, all you need to know is that they're wolves looking for a place called "Paradise," which is a supposedly mythical place, known only to wolves. Also that wolves are thought to be extinct, but only because they hide in a human appearence. Humans can't tell the difference unless the wolves WANT to be seen. ^^
