Congratulations [Yncke]. You are the grand prize winner. I'll be getting in touch with you soon to start discussing other possible projects :)

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who participated. I enjoyed reading all of your stories. Unfortunately this is a contest and not everyone can win, and I thank you all for being such good sports :)

2008-05-19 [Yncke]: So basically, the 'one page' requirement of the contests translates into 'a very short scenario'. :)

2008-05-19 [deeterhi]: it's a test to see if people are able to communicate an idea (whatever it is) within one page. because if they are able to do so in such a small amount of space and keep it entertaining, then when it is time to move onto something larger, i know that they won't have too much difficulty with the pacing of their stories.

2008-05-19 [deeterhi]: so to answer your question...yes. basically, a short scenario :)

it can be a short scene from a larger story as long as it has a clear beginning, middle, and ending, and is self-contained so that the reader isn't left feeling lost or confused about what's going on.

2008-05-19 [Ravendust]: This contest looks very interesting, I think that I'm gonna work on getting an entry up myself^^, There're honestly a few things that I've wanted to turn into comics/manga, and I think that this'll give me the opportunity I need to A- see if my writings (even if only a page of them) are any good and B- if I should rise victor of this contest, how well the storylines can be played out comic-wise :D...

Also, another thing- Good luck to everybody else who decides to join^^

2008-05-22 [Trennas]: cool idea, maybe ill join in ^^

2008-05-25 [Lady of Lore]: Are you looking for mainly an adventure story/writer? I have some neat ideas for a humorous and yet fun fantasy adventure story...(lol, slightly odd phrasing there). I'll work on a script and see what I can drum up for ya! ^_^

2008-05-27 [deeterhi]: i'm looking for someone along those lines:) i'm not gonna be too too strict on the subject matter but i do wanna enjoy what i draw as well because if i don't like drawing the story, it'll be a struggle to finish....but you've got the right idea for your entry and i can't wait to read it:)

2008-05-31 [NOOOPE]: ... Oh my god. I have a comic script. Good times. Now to see who wins... me, or my laziness.

2008-06-02 [deeterhi]: about two more weeks left :) if only one person enters, that person is going to win on a default, but i do hope more than that enters :)

2008-06-02 [Yncke]: I may tinker a bit on it still. If it's not enough on theme (I took the murder and crime theme rather broadly), could you please say so, so that I can change the entry? :)

2008-06-03 [Ravendust]: I've got mine up, it's a little longer, I think, than one page, but there's a fair bit of detail that needs dealt with. In any case, if it's too long to really be considered for an entry, I will try and cut a few things out.

2008-06-03 [deeterhi]: i'll let you guys know on your pages if there is anything really important that needs to be addressed with the entries :)

2008-06-03 [Ravendust]: Okay, thanks^^

2008-06-03 [Lady of Lore]: Hee hee, mine was a lot of fun to write ^_^.

2008-06-04 [deeterhi]: wow, all of the entries look really good. i'm gonna have a hard time choosing a winner.

as a note to all current and future contestants concerning the length of their stories: be very mindful about the number of panels you want to include on a page because the more panels you have, the chances are is that in order to make room for everything, some or a lot of the panels will have to shrink in size when it comes to drawing it out. if you are fine with that, then you don't have to worry. just try and keep the number of panels on one page away from twenty. thanks guys :)

2008-07-10 [Yncke]: O.o *happy dance*

O wow! You got the atmosphere even more right than I had in mind!

2008-07-10 [Yncke]: She's very talented, that's for sure!

Grats on winning the poll, [windowframe]!

2008-07-10 [Ravendust]: Congratulations, [Yncke] and [windowframe]^^

2008-07-11 [itoe]: Congrats!

2008-07-13 [Lady of Lore]: Congrats! The comic looks great! ^_____^

2009-06-07 [Hendercrazy]: Awesome job on the finished comic! Reads and flows very nice! :D
