Your Apartment
(If you don't have an apartment, pretend you do, and what it would be like).
1. Your holiday decorations are directed at people outside on the street or in other apartments rather than at people who come to visit you.
2. You watch television all the time, but only have a tiny black and white set that doesn't pick up any channels clearly (even though you live right in the middle of the city).
3. You hate to have the elevator stop at a strange floor while you are riding in it.
4. Most of the photographs on display are of yourself.
5. You have been living in the apartment for three years or more but don't know any of your neighbours except to say "Hello" to.
6. You have plenty of complaints about the management but you don't join the tenants' association because you feel the people in it are obnoxious and just looking out for themselves.
7. You live with other people and you buy your own food and put name tags on things such as milk cartons and tubs of cottage cheese.
8. You insist that the view makes up for the fact that there rarely is hot water and the heat always goes out on the coldest nights of the year.
9. You feel that everyone else in the building knows everything about you even though none of them has ever spoken to you personally.
10. You are sick of just "throwing money down the drain" and would like to buy a place of your own. You have felt this way for more than five years.
