It wasn't much of a hideout really, more a room with an 'Out of Order' sign on the door. It kept people out though, and more importantly it hid the murderer's little... project. Inside it looked like a normal office, hollowed out yes and twisted to the murderer's insane needs; the swivel chair common in these places had obvious restraint burn marks on the arms and back. At the back of the office unmistakably a vat of some kind, it's putrid scent and occasional hiss an ominous forwarning for all in the room.
The strange fish man seemed to know his way around his place by radar by now, managing to switch on the light, find the chair he used to restrain people and dump Rosie's prone body in it in one fluid movement. It almost seemed natural to him, as if this was every day life for the twisted sicko. Pulling length of wire rope from behind the door, it was impossible to miss the stains on it as it was wrapped tightly around Rosie's body, binding her down so tightly it threatened to break the skin if she moved too much.
Groaning slightly and shifting a little,
Rosie stirred and streched a little, pain shooting through her head.
She immediatley felt the tight wire ropes cutting into her skin slightly, telling her that she couldn't move her arms, and her back was forcively bound to the swivel chair's own. Her abductor wasn't there at that very moment, having left her alone to go prepare some things.
Waking slowly and wincing at the pain in her arms and back from being pulled tight, breathing shallowly and squinting as she tried to see, her glasses had fallen off and it was hard to make out anything,
Rosie squinted round the room to try and make things out pain stabbing through her neck and head as she moved.
There was no real indication of where she was, or what was going on, except for the fact she was bound to the chair and the occasoinal bubbling hiss from the large container on the other side of the room. It filled the area with a sickly, burning smell, even though it was mostly covered it's contents were strong enough to burn into Rosie's nostrils.
Pulling a face and wincing at the action,
Rosie tried to get away from the smell, hissing at the pain cutting into her arms, not being able to distinguish what was causing the pain she whimpered slightly and croaked.
The sound of the door clicking open echoed around the room as if it were a gun shot, the soft shuffling foot falls of someone walking around behind her filling her ears. The hands of the strange fish like man emerging from behind, holding Rosie's glasses carefully between two gelatinous fingers. "F-found them..." he gave another nervous laugh, at least that hadn't been fake "C-couldn't have them out t-there c-could we?" He carefully put them onto Rosie's face, almost poking her in the eye with the end "H-here we go..."
Flinching as the door opened and cowering slightly at the sound of the feet and hissing loudly as she heard the Aquatic man speek
Rosie moved so she wouldnt have her eyes gouged out. "Why me!? what do you wnat with me you..... thing you!" trying not to get too rattled because she would just end up thrashing, and the wire she could see wrapped round her was already biting into her skin.
"A-ah ah..." the murderer said lightly, pressing a finger down on Rosie's forehead gently, the soft flesh feeling strange agaisnt her temple "Don't struggle, you'll cut yourself. And c-cuts make it so they scream more." He gave a nervous laugh again, the sound seemingly creeping into Rosie's ear and sending tell her to both escape and not move at the same time.
Growling slightly and moving to bite at the things finger. "Tell me why I'm here, I demand to know!" trying atleast to kick her legs out.
Her legs kicked out, but the wheely chair meant that instead of really kicking at the person in front of her she just wound up pushing herself back and away from him. "Oh... Oh yes, I h-have'nt told y-you yet. You... are going to be m-my wife..." that nervous laugh rang out again and he began to rub his hands together "P-partly... at least."
Looking at him like he just split in two and danced with himself. "W-what?" glairing at him and movingher feet slightly so she was back where she was, trying to kick him again but keeping one foot on the floor. "What
are you talking about!"
Rosie screamed at him.
The figure only cocked his head and let out a shakey laugh however, moving away from the flailing limbs "N-now's not the time to tell you really... y-you're still in shock. Don't worry though... I-I'm not a bad person to live w-with... I j-just don't meet a lot of people." He moved past her slowly, pausing only to kick the brake onto the swivel chair so she'd be locked in place "I-I need to wait a while though..."
Frowning and hissing loudly
Rosie almost turned into an animal as she thrashed her leggs, wriggling and egnoring the pain in her neck and arms. "LET ME GO LET ME GO LEMMIEGOOO!!!" not caring that the wire cut her arms and pulled tight.
"H-hey... be still" the man said, prodding her in the back of the head, right on the spot he'd hit her, with a cool finger "O-ohhhh... those c-cuts are gonna sting..." He wondered for a moment if he should drug her... but there'd be no sure way of telling if it'd be out of her system in time "J-just calm down... t-the shock will be over soon."
Hising loudly as he poked her head and stopping moving as she winced and watched the room spin due to the pain. "What are you going to be using me for?!"
Rosie didnt understand what he was on about the shock, she hadjust been kidnapped and hurt, she was supposed to be in shock!
"Y-you're going to be my wife" he said again, that nervous laugh starting to grate across Rosie's nerves now "I-I can't find another nice girl t-to merge with me, s-so I'm going to make one."
Growling slightly and glairing at the man thing, Rosie so wanted to rub her face. Sighing slightly she tilted her head. "Cant you just use a dating survice or something?! Kidnapping isn't the best way to get to a girls heart, oh and for the love of Circe stop with the laughing! you remind me of one of my ex's mother." wincing slightly.
Unfortunatley that only made him let out another one, wringing his hands together slowly "I-I think that using a d-dating service w-would mean people noticed t-they were missing..."
"But atleast youd be able to find a nice girl to merge with.... or whatever it is your species does, what areee you anyway?!" steching out slightly and swinging her legs.
"P-please don't make me bind your legs as well" the man stuttered, rubbing his arm slightly and wondering if he should hit her again "J-just... s-stop struggling ok? It'll cut you worse."
Sighing and resting her head back against the chair,
Rosie frowned. "Im getting circulation back in them, its pointless me trying to kick you because Ill only move away or hurt myself and Im not fond of either." streching slightly and turning so she could look at him. "Ok, seen as theres nothing elce to do, why dont you fill me in as to why you want me here, other than to merge with or something. I meen, why me?"
"C-cause you're pretty... and smart... and lonely. Like me!" the nervous laugh was like a cheese crater across the soul "W-well... a-apart from the pretty part... a-and the smart part. I... I mean I am lonely. B-but I won't be anymore! Y-you're going to help make m-my wife... S-so we won't b-be lonely anymore."
Raising an eye brow and smiling she wriggled a little "How about a hug? you look like you need one hun. Im sorry your lonely but kidnapping me isnt a good way to get me to help you make a new.. wife. You could have just asked. what does it involve anyway, Im not realy good with biology but I have a minor degree in it. if thats any help?" smiling hipefully
Rosie couldnt help but have a soft spot for the man who was obviously lonely and desperate. "Oh and could you push my glasses up my nose, theyre slipping."
"B-but it IS going to help. S-see... yes, in order to h-have kids and be with my w-wife I need to m-merge with her. B-but everyone h-here is j-just too solid. So... So I'm melting p-people down to s-something like me, removing the h-hard parts and t-then I'll have a w-wife!" It was said with the simplistic view of a five year old, or a serial killer, and the man wasn't five. Carefully he pushed up Rosie's glasses, so they were up properly "B-but it seems that once you remove the hard parts of people there's less of them for some reason. S-so I'm getting as many h-hard ones as it takes b-before my wife c-can at least talk."
Staring at the man like he was insane and blinking slightly. "Annnnnnd you expect me to help you make her? like put the...remainde
rs of people back together to make this woman. well... erm. I can do that..oh dear god.. Im gonna...EERRRGHHHh" Rosie threw up over the side of her chair and paled, looking almost green.
"N-no.. no" the man shook his head quickly "Nothing like that. You're not going to b-build her... you're going to be part of her." He rolled his shoulder slightly, wincing as Rosie through up "O-ohh.. dear." He carefully walked away, coming back with what looked like a discarded mop; unskillfully and nervously he dragged the mop head across Rosie's body, the head gathering, compressing and storing away the sick that he was cleaning off her.
Shaking sligthly and going even paler Rosie gagged and threatened to throw up again as she found out she was going to be part of the stew. "Oh my... herrk!" trying not to puke again and feeling all sweaty and hot. "Can you let me go? I feel so ill."
"M-maybe... some sedation will help" the man mumbled, dropping the mop to the floor and wondering away to search through the things he'd brought here with him. There were some sedatives here somewhere, he could tell... "I-I'm afraid it means you'll have to wait a little bit before y-you join them however... S-so it's fully out of your system by the time you do."
"If you sedate me could you unbind me while im out, and take my coat off? Im burning up and sweating and i feel realy ill. Im sure you wouldnt want that effecting... ohhh... effecting your prosess." Looking very much like she was going to throw up again and pass out. Rosie hoped she could apeal to him in the only way she knew how.
"S-sure thing..." the man said, finding no trouble in flicking between exposing how he was going to murder Rosie and complying to her requests for a comfier seat. Rosie felt a a soft pressure on her neck, a gentle sting, then the world began to swim in front of her eyes; she wasn't asleep, it wasn't that a strong sedative, but even if she wanted to she wouldn't be able to resist. She barely felt the loosening of the wires, the tugging at the jacket as they were removed... after a moment the man even wrapped Rosie's cuts in a bandage, just so she'd be comfier as he bound her back into the chair.
Nodding and feeling like she was going to fall over Rosie laughed and gripped her her seat. "Thhhhansshhh your thhh kindesht killer ehhve knowhhnn." sounding slurred as she tried to comunicate. frowning as she felt extreemly dizzy like she was drunk.
"W-well... you won't r-r-really be dead" the nervous laugh punctured even Rosie's sleepy state "I-I mean I'm just removing the hard parts... y-you're brain and everything else will s-still be there, mixed with others, y-you'll see, s-soon you'll all work as one mind and o-one body and b-be my wife!"
Words sprang into Rosie's head suddenly, the voice clear but the meaning twisted and garbled by the drugs in her system "Rosie, This is Chief Security Officer D'mitri. I need you to please come to my office as soon as possible." She had a mental link to the head of Security, she had to think quickly to get what had happened across.
Quickly sending back "HELPPP, trapped... been kidnapped, maintanance man, close...Marons cafe." Rosie replied before feeling too dizzy to consentrate any more and almost falling off of her chair.
The man tutted slightly and sat Rosie up a bit more, making sure she was properly secured, even while drugged. "C-can't have you hurting yourself can we?" he laughed, stroking her cheek in an almost adoring way.
Smiling hapily and nuzzling the guys hand Rosie kissed it gently. "Thank you, Rhydian." thinking it was one of her old friends that she had met on earth.
It should be impossible for watery fish men to blush, but somehow the man managed to get across a display of embarresment at the comment. "N-now now... t-there's time for that later, after you're my wife."
Smiling hapily and laughing out loudly. Rosie giggled and smiled. "Oh you silly man, your not marrying meee! You got killed in the... explosion..." biting her lip and ammidiatly stopping her laughing, she whimpered a little and tried not to cry.
"Hey..." the man said, patting her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her "Don't cry... you need all of the water you can get. J-just think... he's... he's with others now. He's in the massive collection of people out there... w-waiting for all of us."
Whimpering and crying Rosie thought of all the people she had lost wondering wether or not they were whole bodies floating in space or little bits and peices. Some people could have suffocated to death in space. Crying hard and sobbing now she shook and pulled the man close to her for comfort and cried on him.
"H-hey... I react badly to s-saline" the man grumbled, but sighed and wrapped his gelatinous arms around her even as she sobbed "It's ok... it's ok they're a-all together n-now."
Clinging to him and sobbing still, Rosie had stopped crying but was still whimpering and sobbing as she rubbed her face on his chest. "Thanks... uh... whats your name?"
"N-no... now isn't the time" he stood up, moving away from Rosie slowly and itching the spot where she'd been crying "T-the first one... knew my name. She kept yelling it... m-makes it hard to do. But you'll l-learn it when you b-become one with them."
Nodding slowly and rubbing over her face to dry her eyes, Rosie almost resigned herself to her fate and slumped in the chair. "Im in no mood to scream."
"M-my... name is" the man made a strange gurgling noise, as if he was talking underwater "b-but people call me Neddy... Th-they said it was cause I was nervous all the time." He let out that odd little laugh again and patted Rosie's doped up forehead "T-there..."
Hissing at him slightly she growled and went to bite his odd hand. "Dont you touch me, Neddy, your despicable. cant you just go back to your planet and find someone... gloopy like you?" frowning at the odd way the world tilted and swayed slightly. still under sedation.
"H-half... breed" Neddy said gently, moving his hand back just in time and clenching it slightly "P-part human... that's why only human women will do. I-I'm a freak at my planet... b-but I'm making someone... someone like me."
Laughing slightly and struggling a tiny bit as she started to regain a little bit of herself.Rosie used her shoulder to push up her glasses. "Your a freak here, a freak there, to be honest a freak everywhere." Laughing at the little rhyme.
"O-of course you feel like that now" he said as he began to flit around, arranging things and sorting things "You're... you're too solid. When you're like me you'll learn how difficult it is... and you'll love me..."
"You do realise your killing people right?when you remove peoples bones and things they'd die. Humans cant live without bones, thats why we have them, I dont think your soup of a wife is going to work." Rosie sat up further and stretched her body, even though she couldnt really move.
"Ohhh it will... otherwise how would I have been born huh?" Neddy let out that small laugh again, humming a faint song to himself that appeared to have no rythme or actual tune "It's just... that no one... has ever been able to hear them..."
"Hear them?" Looking confused, Rosie tried to shuffle to get more feeling in her legs, her stomach growled and she realised it had been hours since she ate. Feeling ill from all the sedation and lack of food. "Mmmh hungry"
"Oh! That means your... almost ready" Neddy grinned, at least his voice sounded like it was grinning behind the mask "Sedation... wearing off... no... other materials in there to contaminate. I mean I don't want half a dead pig in there with you do I?" He laughed again, then moved over the the vat, opening it and waving at whatever was inside.
Whimpering and feeling more faint, Rosie felt like throwing up again. She was soon to be boneless and in a soup, and she hadn't even made any friends yet. no one would really miss her, and seen as the ship still had Demi to operate it, then it wouldn't crash or anything.
Neddy was humming slightly to himself, walking around and picking up certain things. Like scissors, and metalic looking prongs. "Now don't you fret, it'll be juuust fine" he said as he checked the acidic soup again "a little while longer and it'll be complete!"
"Too bad you dont have a while longer." D'mitri said as he walked into the room with his hand up, palm facing the strange man, ready for anything. "I am Chief of Security D'Mitri, and you are under arrest."
"W-what for?" Neddy stepped back, eyes roaming over D'mitri as he held his arms up defensively "What are you doing in here? You can't... can't be in here you'll contaminate everything!"
The officer gripped the gun tight, swallowing hard and just watching as she kept that hand locked at her side. She didn't need to shoot him, not yet, but when her eyes flicked to Rosie it was getting tempting.
"You've been kidnapping and murdering people, that is why." D'mitri said a bit surprised that the question was even asked. "Cooperate and there will be no need for use of force or violence."
"H-haven't murdered ANYONE" Neddy said in a shocked voice "Just... you can't hear them. I can though. And... and if I put HER in then you'll be able to hear them as well!" He pointed towards Rosie, a weak chuckle coming from his lips "Just... just let me put her in and you'll see."
"Make a move towards her and I will consider it a hostile action and act accordingly." D'mitri said as he put a little pressure onto the man's feet to accent his warning.
Swaying slightly and gripping onto the nearest wall, Rosie gripped her head as she felt even more nauseous as the sedation was receding. her stomach was churning. "I'm so hungry."
"B-but unless I put her in you're going... going to think I murdered people. I... I HAVE to put her in..." Neddy was staring at him with the innocent gaze of a serial killer, swaying sligtly towards Rosie but not moving from the spot "I have to!"
"You dont have to, nor are you going to." D'mitri said as he took as step towards him. "This is going to be your last warning. Cooperate and give up or I will be required to use force to bring you in."
"B-but if I don't then you'll never see" Neddy's hands were shaking slightly, he was backing away from D'mitri towards the far wall "And you'll think I killed them. But I didn't, and you'll only see that if you let me put her in!"
Trying to pull her hair away from her face before she threw up again, Rosie crouched off to the side an dry heaved. With nothing in her stomach she was gipping and heaving but with nothing coming up, her head was swimming and she was on the verge of fainting.
D'mitri stepped towards him with every step away Neddy took. "You have been warned and advised. What happens now is of your own doing." D'mitri then began to focus on Neddy and lift him off the ground.
The officer ran over to Rosie the moment Neddy was off the ground, moving to try and get her back to a safe radius and maybe just get her some food.
Neddy was struggling, writhing in mid-air like a puppet; he quickly reached for his pocket, trying to grab something from within.
"Im afraid I cant allow you to do that." D'mitri said as he pulled his hand away from the pocket. Then removed the object.
It was the wrench that he'd used to beat several of the women over the head with, that and a syringe or two that he'd taken from the medical quarters with sedatives inside. He was squirming, trying to fight the grip on his body with the slippery layer of flesh covering him.
"Tsk, tsk." D'mitri thought as he looked over the evidence in his pocket. "Officer, is the victim alright?"
"Needs food and someone to have a look at the bruise at the back of her head but she seems alright" came the voice from over by Rosie, the officer with an arm beneath the woman's to keep her up. "Can you walk miss?" she asked, hoping that they could get out of here soon, the smell was getting to her.
D'mitri turned his focus back to the blob person floating in air. "What interests me is how you were able to acquire these syringes and sedatives without detection."
Nodding limply, Rosie wobbled slightly as she tried to stand up straighter and move her legs in some semblance of walking. Her head feeling fuzzy and her stomach churning. "Can I have a sandwich? Maybe some soup?"
"Not... saying" Neddy said, squirming on the spot; murder was enough, they thought he had killed all those people, but then they would stick extra theft on top of that...
"We'll get you some food" the woman said softly, trying to lead Rosie carefully out of the room so she could give Rosie something to eat.
"You seem to have me confused with someone who is gullible and easily fooled." D'mitri said as the invisible force holding Neddy up began to tighten around him, like a shrinking box.
Neddy braced himself, his body seemed maleable however, when the squeezing started the water body almost flowed around it. Alright it could hurt him if D'mitri really crushed but he knew that D'mitri could never survive a brutality charge slapped on him.
"Brutality? And who is here to prove this claim?" D'mitri asked with a raise of his eyebrow. "You attacked me while my back was turned. A booby trap that caused me to lose my focus and allowed you to escape. My only option was to severely injure or kill the murderer to prevent him from killing again. Or you can tell me everything I need to know."
"Your officer's still in the room" Neddy let out a hissing laugh as he looked over to the woman still trying to lead to shakey Rosey to the door. "She can see I... I can't move. If you try and hurt me she'll know" that was, he was relying on the fact that she WOULD report him and wouldn't let him get crushed with no remorse.
"Not for much longer." D'mitri said. "Now, answering my question before she leaves will be very wise."
"S-stole" Neddy finally squeaked "From... the stores. Got cards... from my wives... then got into places... and stole what I needed."
"Thats more like it Neddy boy." D'mitri said as he released the pressure. "Anything else you want to confess to right now before you get taken in?"
Leaving happily with the officer, Rosie was only vaguely aware there was anything going on. Coughing a little, her head span from the lack of water, food and the sedatives. "Where we going?"
"I did it for love" it was old, corny, and sick, but the worst thing was that D'mitri could see into Neddy's mind and found it was honestly true, in his own twisted way he thought this would work. He did this for love. He killed because he was alone.
"We're going to get you somewhere to sleep and somthing to eat" the officer said gently to Rosie, leading her out towards the social sector. There was a bar out there she was sure, they would at least have peanuts.
Nodding Rosie left for the social sector
"Unfortunatly loneliness isnt a good excuse for murder, but I do appreciate your confessions." D'mitri said as he watched the officer leave with Rosie. "It makes the whole justice process must faster."
Neddy just hung there, eyes locked on the floor and giving a slow bubble. "Why won't they let me be happy?" he asked weakly; if he could cry it was obvious that he would be, but being mostly watery he didn't have the equipment to do so "I try and I try but the world just... just smacks me down."
"Because you have to murder people to be happy, Neddy." D'mitri said as if it was strange that he should have to point this out. "You have wrongfully ended the lives of several passengers on this ship. Do you think they were happy about being kidnapped, drugged, and subsequently liquidated?"
"They would come back if you'd just... let me..!" he began struggling against the hold that was keeping him off the ground "I didn't kill them! They just weren't complete enough! And now you're going to pour my wives down a sink!"
"Well im not going to let you. I plan on making sure that you remain in lockup for the remainder of our voyage and once we find a planet that you are incarcerated there as well to make sure you never kill again." D'mitri said with more emotion then anyone had ever seen him exhibit while on this vessel.
"My beautiful wives..." Freddy seemed to be practically melting now, as if he was almost giving up and relaxing his gelatinous body in D'mitri's grip "I'll never see them... you'll never let me complete it... never let me have a child or know love..."
"Im done listening to you talk like your the victim in this horrible situation." D'mitri said with a shake of his head. "I am taking you to holding now so you can ramble to the inside of a cell."
"whatever" Freddy muttered bitterly "What's the point of being out here if my loved ones are going to be poured away by you heathens?"
D'mitri just rolled his eye at the over dramatic criminal. "Are you going to walk out of here calmly or do I have to hover you the entire way?"
There was a sliver of hope of escape, then that died as Neddy stared at D'mitri, just hovering there in mid-air. Of course that had been spotted in seconds "Whatever..."
"I am so glad you are not picky." D'mitri said as he turned and brought Neddy out of the tunnels and into the Social Sector.
He could only float there, dragged along and not even struggling as he was moved towards the door and out towards the public.
