Jasmine walked down the hallway heading for Roy Mustang's office. She glanced down at the report she carried in her hand. Scar had been spotted near the southern headquarters. Hopefully Ed's not out that way she thought to herself as she stopped at Roy's office. She knocked lightly on the door before peeking in.
 "Colonel Mustang?" she said, opening the door. Roy had his head resting in his hand, shielding his eyes.
 "Sir, a report of Scar from the southern headquarters" she said, coming over to the desk and dropping the paper down in front of him. She stayed standing there, hands behind her back and standing perfectly straight as he read the paper. After a moment, Roy stood.
 "Go find the Lieutenant Colonel, tell him to meet me in the conference room right away" Roy demanded, walking past Jasmine and out of the room. Jasmine followed him out of the office, but went the opposite way down the hallway. She sighed deeply, afraid to bother the lieutenant colonel while he was grieving. She knocked on the door and waited for an answer. After a minute, she opened the door quietly and glanced in at Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes. He sat with his back to his desk, looking out the window. His chin rested in his hand, and his head hung slightly as if he were asleep. Jasmine walked over and stood in front of his desk. Pictures lay scattered all over his desk, amongst various papers. Jasmine sighed, feeling a sting of pain and sorrow rush through her.
 "Lieutenant Colonel?" she asked in a quiet voice. He didn't move. Jasmine cleared her throat. "Lieutenant Colonel Hughes?" her voice rang out abit louder. Hughes jumped slightly and turned fast.
 "Oh, Jasmine.. I didn't hear you come in" he exclaimed, ruffling through papers, trying to cover the pictures.
 "The colonel sent me in to tell you to meet him in the conference room right away, Sir!" Jasmine answered in a professional voice.
 "Ok" Hughes sighed as he stood. His face seemed to take on a weary look almost instantly.
 "I can tell him you're preoccupied if you don't feel like going" Jasmine offered, picking up a picture of Maes and his family. They all grinned happily at the camera, it was hard to believe they were gone. Gracia had been an innocent casualty in the attempted murder of the lieutenant colonel. Elysia had been kidnapped in all the confusion of the attempted murder.
 "No no, it's alright" Hughes was saying, taking the picture from Jasmine and putting it into his pocket. Jasmine nodded.
 "Alright, is there anything you want or need... while you're out Sir?"
Hughes half smiled.
 "I could do with a hug right now" he said, opening his arms toward Jasmine. She smirked lightly and stepped to him, wrapping her arms around his sides and hugging him tightly. Hughes smiled softly and wrapped his long arms around Jasmine, returning the hug. He lay his head against hers as a look of sadness came over his face. After a moment, he stepped back.
 "Thanks" he said, smiling. He turned, leaving for the conference room. Jasmine looked around the office. It was fairly messy, with various papers and books all around. Some more pictures littered the floor. Jasmine picked two up. One was of Elysia holding a big fluffy teddy bear and grinning happily. The other was of Gracia and Maes before Elysia was born. They looked happy... a true happiness. Will Hughes ever be happy again? Jasmine asked herself. She sighed and started to clean up the office.

A loud scream echoed through the woods. Suddenly a young girl burst through the trees, panting for breath and sweating as if she'd been running for along time. She stopped and leaned against a tree to catch her breath. She slung a black cloak with red markings on it over her left arm and looked at it. She then giggled and hugged the cloak tightly.
 "Some day Kisame... some day" the girl whispered, still hugging the cloak. A dark figure suddenly loomed through the trees.
 "Where'd you go?!!?" a voice boomed. "Gimme back my cloak!!!"
The girl's eyes widened and she took off running once more. As she rounded a tree, she was stopped fast by Itachi standing perfectly straight and tall, not moving as if he had expected her to run that way. The girl turned to run back from where she came, but was stopped fast by Kisame blocking the way.
 "Why the hell did you steal my cloak??" he demanded, stepping closer to her. The girl stepped backwards towards Itachi.
 "Aki..." Itachi said in a low voice. "are you so desperate for attention that you must steal an Akatsuki cloak?"
Aki shook her head fast.
 "N-No..." she answered, whirling around to look at Itachi.
 "Then why?" he asked, not moving a muscle.
 "I-I..." Aki answered shyly. She glanced behind her at Kisame, then back at Itachi. "I-I wanted to be an Akatsuki member.. for years I've wanted to be!" she said softly. Then she smirked abit and put the cloak on. It was 10 sizes too big and made her look like a small child inside it. Kisame held back a chuckle and pulled the cloak off Aki. He put it on and went to stand beside Itachi. Aki gulped slightly.
 "So.. uhhh... what are you going to do to me?" she asked, abit of fear showing through in her voice.
 "What do we normally do to people who steal our cloaks Kisame?" Itachi asked, looking at Kisame. Kisame smirked slightly and walked over to Aki. Aki cowered back, fear shining in her eyes brightly. Kisame put a hand on Aki's head, grinned evilly and suddenly messed up her hair. Itachi half smiled, looking positively evil. Aki squealed and tried to get away from Kisame as best as she could. Kisame grabbed hold of her shoulder to hold her in place.
 "NO!!!! KISAME!!! LEMME GO!!!" Aki exclaimed, giggling. "Itachi!!!! Make him stoooopppp!!!!" she squealed and jumped as Kisame started to tickle her.
 "Have you learned your lesson?" Itachi asked in a serious voice. Aki nodded fast. "Alright," Itachi bellowed, lifting a hand to motion to Kisame. "Kisame, stop torturing her"
Kisame chuckled and moved back to beside Itachi. Aki stood straight and looked at the two akatsukis.
 "Get out of here before I decide to be really evil" Itachi smirked lightly. Aki nodded again, then ran to Itachi, hugging him tightly. she stepped back and smiled softly at Kisame.
 "See ya later Itachi!!! Bye Kisame" she smiled, then ran off happily. Kisame watched her, then looked at Itachi.
 "Hard to believe you two are related!" he stated quietly. Itachi looked at Kisame.
 "How so?"
 "Because she's so hyper, so full of life and you.. you're so... so serious!"
Itachi smirked evilly.
 "I know" was all he answered before turning and walking away. Kisame smirked and followed Itachi away.

 "Heya Cloud! Coming to find Sephiroth??" A dark haired girl exclaimed as Cloud climbed off his bike.
 "Why? So you can see him?" Cloud retorted somewhat meanly.
 "NO! OF COURSE NOT!" the dark haired girl exclaimed once more. "I.. I was just.. wondering..."
 "Well don't" Cloud responded, walking past the girl and into the bar.
 "What's your problem Cloud?" the girl asked, following Cloud and sitting beside him at a table.
 "My problem? You're the one bothering me!" Cloud frowned. The girl was about to say something, but Tifa leaned over the bar.
 "Kayla, don't bother" she said in a chipper voice. Kayla rolled her eyes and went to sit at the bar. After a few minutes of silence, Cloud's phone rang. Cloud nodded a few times before hanging up his phone. He stood and looked at Tifa. "Sephiroth is back. Looks like we're in for another fight"
Kayla's eyes nearly bugged out of their sockets and in less then a minute, she was beside Cloud, hanging onto his arm tightly.
 "Take me with you!" she begged. Tifa smirked and came out from behind the bar.
 "Someone needs to watch the bar" Cloud muttered, trying to shake Kayla off his arm.
 "NO! TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!" Kayla screamed, digging her nails into Cloud's arm. He winced slightly.
 "alright, alright" he mumbled, pulling his arm from her grasp. "Just stay out of the way"
Kayla squealed happily and ran out to Cloud's motorcycle. She jumped onto it and waited for Cloud. Cloud came out, sighed deeply, and looked at Kayla.
 "I know the only reason why you're coming along" Cloud muttered, putting on his goggles and climbing onto the bike.
 "Oh, you do?" Kayla smirked, putting her arms around Cloud's sides.
 "You're only going to see Sephiroth, and get yourself in trouble.. again" Cloud answered in a low monotone voice.
 "Jealous are we?" Kayla continued to smirk. Cloud frowned.
 "Jealous? Of Sephiroth? You've got to be joking" he mumbled, starting up the bike and driving off at high speed.

Maddox stood in the shadows, watching Sora and Kairi. He smirked as Riku stepped up beside him.
 "Keeping an eye on them? Or spying on her?" he asked, half smiling.
 "She's too cute not to watch" Maddox replied, chuckling lightly. Riku nodded.
 "Have fun" he said, turning and continuing on his way through the trees. Maddox watched Riku leave, then turned back to watch the two again. Sora had left, leaving Kairi alone amongst the trees and bushes. She wandered over to a flowered bush and picked one of the light pink blooms. She smelt it, then started twirling it in her fingers boredly. Maddox grinned and stepped out of the trees behind her. He snatched up a lightl blue flower, then glanced at Kairi. He cleared his throat lightly. Kairi turned fast and took a step backwards.
 "Oh... h-hello" she said in a quiet voice. Maddox grinned.
 "Hi there, what's your name?" he asked, holding the flower out to her.
 "I'm Kairi" she answered in a soft shy voice. "Thanks" she blushed lightly. Maddox smiled, nodding.
 "A rose, despite it's thorns still smells beautiful" he said in a soft charming voice. Kairi blushed brightly and looked away shyly. Maddox smirked.
 "Sorry..." he said softly. Lairi looked back at him and smiled a wide smile.
 "That's ok. What's your name?"
 "Maddox" was the simple reply.
 "Nice to meet you" Kairi said, shaking his hand and smiling shyly. Maddox grinned again.

Jasmine had finished picking up around Hughes' office. She sighed deeply as she put that last book on the shelf. As she did this, the door opened, Hughes walked in, then shut the door behind him. He looked at Jasmine, a sad look crossing his face. Jasmine held her breath for fear of making a sound, thinking it might set his emotions off. Hughes looked toward the window, then went over and looked out, his hands coming to rest in the small of his back.
 "Are you alright, Sir?" Jasmine asked, moving beside Hughes. He nodded.
 "Yes, I'm fi-" he was cut off by a bright flash, followed by a loud bang. Jasmine grabbed Hughes' arm and half hid behind him in fear and surprise.
 "What the hell was that?" she exclaimed.
 "I don't know... but who are those people?" Hughes responded, pointing out the window at the large group of people standing in the courtyard looking confused. Hughes blinked, then turned and headed for the door.
 "I need to inform Roy about this!" he said fast, leaving the room. Jasmine nodded, then glanced out the window. A minute later, Roy, Hughes and a few other military personnel were making their way toward the newcomers. Jasmine ran outside after them, standing straight as she came to a stop behind the Colonel.
 "Hey! Who are you?" Hughes asked loudly and quickly. One of the strangers, a bright yellowed haired kid with a goofy looking face turned.
 "I'M NARUTO UZUMAKI(sp?)! THE GREATEST NINJA OF ALL TIMES!!! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU??"
 "Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes. This is Colonel Roy Musta..."
 "What is your business in Central?" Roy asked before Hughes had finished introductions. Naruto was about to answer when a tall grey haired man with a bandana across his face stepped up.
 "We are ninjas... from the village hidden in the leaves, Konoha. I am Kakashi Hatake, this is my team: Naruto Uzumaki(sp?), Sakura Haruno(sp?), and Sasuke Uchiha" Kakashi stated in a bored voice, pointing to each in turn. Hughes nodded and glanced at Roy. He crossed his arms boredly.
 "Well Colonel.. What are we going to do with them?"
 "Find a place for them to stay, then figure out how they got here, and how we can get them home. Do it as fast as you can Lieutenant colonel!" Roy ordered, turning to head back inside. A few of the men followed him. Hughes turned to face Kakashi and the others.
 "Well, I guess you all will be staying in the spare rooms in our residence building" he smiled widely. "Come along, I'll show you where it is"
 "Lieutenant Colonel...?" Jasmine said in a quiet voice, stepping up beside Hughes. "I beg your pardon sir, but there's only a few spare rooms, with two beds each... there's no way you can house everyone in that building" she said, waving her hand in the direction the ninjas and others behind them stood. Hughes looked at the ninjas, then at Jasmine and nodded. "Good point" he muttered. "Well, I have two spare bedrooms at my house.. considering.." he sighed deeply. Jasmine put a hand on his arm.
 "Maes" she said, cutting him off in a quiet voice. "Not now" she whispered. Hughes nodded, forced a smile and looked at Lt. Havoc, and Master Sergeant Fuery standing behind Jasmine.
 "Havoc! Fuery!" He said in his most official sounding voice. The two men stepped forward fast and saluted.
 "Yes sir!!" they said in unison.
 "Show our guests to their rooms!" Both men nodded and turned to walk toward the residences, a few of the ninjas following them. Hughes looked at Kakashi. "You and your three, come with me" he turned and walked over to his car. "I'll show you to my house"
Kakashi nodded and looked at his team.
 "Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, come along" he said plainly. They nodded and followed along to the car.
Itachi and Kisame stepped out from behind a building, looking around.
 "What the hell's going on? Weren't we just in the forest?" Kisame asked, looking around wonderingly. Itachi nodded, but didn't move any further.
 "I don't know what's going on" he responded in a quiet low voice.
 "Itachi? ITACHI??? Kisame?!!?" A voice said from behind. Both turned and looked. Aki grinned, relieved. "ITACHI!!!" she squealed happily, running over and tackling her big brother. Itachi groaned slightly as Kisame smirked.
 "Hey there Aki..." he chuckled again as Aki buried her face into Itachi's cloak. Itachi sighed deeply and pushed Aki off him.
