Snuffles & Sneezes...
Hot and cold flushes, snuffles and sneezes,
Are all classic signs of our winter diseases.
You start with a sniffle, which turns to a cough,
And before you know it, your head drops off.
Then its teary eyes and a streaming nose,
Too hot or too cold, despite your thick clothes.
Days off work, propped up in your bed,
‘Lemsips', ‘Kleenex', and a ‘cotton-wool' head.
You've a general ache, and it's a general pain,
You just get better, and you catch it again.
These damned bugs seem to do as they please,
While we get to suffer, snuffle and sneeze…
