Andrei smiles and says "No,no...I'm not here for the shot-gun whatever this contraption is...You work with gunpower, do you not?Why do I ask...of course you do!I'd like to buy enough gunpowder to blow a big enough hole in mount Rushmore to fit the empire state building in it..." how much would that cost me?

The draco smiles. "Your life." He turns back to the bellows, muttering about how he didn't have time for idiots...

Andrei laughs:"Idiots?" then his happy face turns to a cold evil and sensless grin while he snarles: "Answer me mortal or feel my power!I have more knowlege about gunpowder and it's propertyes that you could ever dream off!" He clenches his fist as it starts to glow with diabolical energies...

He turns, a red-hot iron bar in his hands. He looks at it, then at Andrei, saying,"Do you really need to do this?" He lifts the bar meaningly. His face shows no malice, and he chuckles. "You know, for an elf, you have an incredibly short temperment."He turns back to his work, sparks flying as he pounds the metal with a hammer.

Andrei is stunned but dosen't show it..."You'r right" he says and leaves at a fast pace...

Later...

Salek walks amiably in, fingering a blade. "Hey, Jenshin, did Andrei drop by earlier?"
He turns and smiles."Well, I do not know of whom you speak, but an elf dropped by askin fer enough gunpowder to demolish a small country."
She grins. "That's Andrei, then. Listen;I need about 45 kegs of gunpowder as soon as you can get them. Goin on a little huntin' trip and I need some powder."
He draws back."45 kegs-Milady, that's too much to transport at one time! And besides, that would take a bit out of our supply--surely you are joking!"
"Not at the moment. I do need it, though. It's very important, Jenshin, I need it!"
He sighs. "You are quite sure?" Salek nods. "Alright then, missy. Go around the back and fetch them yerself."He goes back to his work.
Salek smiles, and goes round the back.

The wanderer steps in the gunsmith quietly, not seeming to be impressed by all the weapons scatered on tables and shelves...
He watches the smith (which was working) for a couple of seconds, after wich he asks in a very direct tone...
"I require something of you... but I don't know if you have the skills to do it... I'm willing to pay well if you succeed, though..."

"And what would that request be?"Jenshin did not even bother to turn around and continued working.

The wanderer seemed content that the smith didn't turn to face him, but he realised that he would have to face him anyway...
He reaches in to his robe and pulls something out... he holds it up in the redish light of the room...
"I need bulets... not normal ones but a special variety... like this..." The smith turns to see what the wanderer was showing...
It was a veary strange and small thing with a pointed tip and made of normal type of metal...
But the bullet was briliantly built and was defenetly beying shot by a powerfull gun...
"I need 14 such bullets" sed the wanderer with a chil in his voice...
"And I need them as soon as possible... I will be leaving the castle shortly..."

"Alright, give me a sample and I'll have them tomorrow. By then, I will have a set price. Gotta make a living somehow, ya know."The gunsmith smiled.

The wanderer continues in a sinister way, but without the chill in his voice...
"But heed my words... the dimentions and materials must be EXACT, or elce the process will be ruined...
Here... take a look in here" ( he pulls one of his books and opens it to a specific page were it showed detailles on making the bullet... most of the wrighting was unreadable, but on the sides there were small paragrafs written in the comon language...
The proces of making these bullets was veary pain staking and time consuming... but it was aperantly worth it cause the bullets were amongst the strongest and most efective amunition seen on the realm... and these bulets could only be used by one type of gun that nobody had seen B4...
Other then the bulte designs, the book contained a whole bunch of other weapons designs and schematics... all forghen to the realm )
"You see?, sez the wanderer, the propertys have to be EXACT... I will pay well for a job well done... but if you faill I won't pay anything, understand?
Se you tomorow then..."

Jenshin chuckled. "I have done more complex things than this. It will take time, but it will not be hard. Do remember I do not have this job for nothing."He turns back to his work.

The wanderer is left veary unsatisfied by the answere... not seeming to belive the smith's confidance in his own skills...
He adds with the same chill in his voice, while maintaining a sinister calmness...
"I got this comment from EVERY smith I whent to... I wander if it's a common trait, this self confidance?!
Just remember!... I don't care about your reputation and I don't care about the money I'm spending on this... and I don't care about what jobs you did B4...
You just do your job and get me those bullets... and they better be damn corectly executed...
If you faill... you will just confirm that most people in the world are nothing more then all word and no action..."
Then he continues with a lighter tone
"Then again, if you do this right, you will have your efforts payed well... and I asure you, you won't be dissapointed..."
Having sed this the wanderer turnes to the door and, just B4 closing it behind him, he adds
"I will return I a day's time to see just how well your progress is..."
He cuaietly shuts the door behind him...

Jenshin laughs. "They're all the same. Proud and haughty. Never look at us from any other angle than down the nose." he glances at the page, then pulls out a drop of lead starts on an exact replica of the bullet...

The next day, the wanderer returns, just as calm and cuayet as B4...
This time, he just directly spoke...
"Well...Hy, nice day, isn't it!" sed the wanderer with a weird tone, actually showing that his day was horrible...
Then he returned to his simple and unatractive mode of talking...
"So... it's been a day... have you finished the bullets?"
While saying these, he looked at one of the tables that was full of tools and was aparantly now used for the construction of the shotgun that shotgun that the smith had mentioned earlyer...
He stares at the uncompleeted gun for somme time and then adds with a veary light tone
"Hmm... a shotgun, is it?... hmm...one of the old models... haven't seen these caind of weapons in a long time...
I'm not trying to interfear in other people's afairs... but you could have done the barrel a little shorter and a second handdel at the front to give it a better grip... and you could have done the bullet chamber a little biger... that would reduce the reloading time...
And some small adjustments to the fierying mecanism would encrease the guns rate of fire...
Tell me... did that guy,Pitch specificly asked for the older model?"

"Older models are easier to use for humanoid creatures. The barrel is long enough to send it at a wider range and it has more grooves to set the bullet spinning faster, thus leading to a more accurate shot. It was meant as a kind of sniper rifle, so the rate of fire isn't that large of a problem. It was built specifically for Michelle, a griffin-type anthro, who uses her shoulder to hold the gun more than her hands. She happens to be a fantastic shot, but she lacks a decent gun. Pitch will start on her armour as soon as I am finished. And, about your bullets..." He turned to the Wanderer, holding a small wooden box. He opened it revealing 9 exact replicas of the original bullet, which was set aside in order to avoid confusing with the replicas. "Give me until dusk to finish the last 5." He closed it and put it on a shelf too high for the Wanderer to reach and turned back to his work.

"Hmm... the gun's pourpous of the gun is your own concern... but even as a sniper rifle, the gun is built after a old model...
Why on earth dosen't that guy want a newer, better vertione of that gun?" then he adds with a rather ironic tone "You do now that there are about 35 newer vertions of the gun you are building, don't you?... of wich about 7 are a good combination between shotguns and sniper rifles... and 4 of those can easely be used by any tipe of weilder... be they humanoids or not...
And ofcourse, there are all the the little addons to the guns to make them even better...
But I'm sure *you* allready know all this..."
Having sed this, the wanderer returnes to his normal tone, giving up his ironic tent...

"So... now that that is over... let's get back to the bullets...
At first glance.. they seem to be of good cuality... but one can never trust the apearences...
I tell you what... give me those bullets now for inspection... I won't take them now...
But in case you did something wrong, I could at least point it out... if not, you might work on another five bullets for nothing... I don't pay for failled atempts you know...
And it will really be your loss if you don't cooperate...
And just to make my self clear... I don't trust any of you smiths... but you seem to be a little better then the *others*... you actually did bullets... the others are just dumbcofs..."

A few moments of silance pass, while only the fire in the huge forge could be heard.

Jenshin simply laughed. "It would be wise to learn some manners, sir. Even amongst peasants and workers such as myself, a slight bit of courtesy is required!" He took down the box, adding, "you underestimate my intelligence! Not all gunsmiths are idiots, sir!"He handed the box to the Wanderer, but ordered,"You are not to leave this room whilst looking at these. I am not going to be cheated, you hear?"

"And you underestimate me as well, thinking I'm one of those idiots of the nobility that have nothing to do then get on other people's nervs, or one of those overegoed adventurers that think they are better then everybody...
If you think me to be like that... you are gravely mistaking...
My untrust in smiths, or most people for that matter, simply flows from the fact that not one smith I whent to B4 had ever managed to come close to doing actual bullets...
They even went so far as acusing me of practicing the dark arts... I was nearly crucified by one in the past years...
So DO understand that I have nothing personal with you...sir...
I can be polite... it's just that most people I've met were as far from beying polite as they get...
I guess living alone dose have a tole on one's social skillz...
But to be frank... you could work a little bit on yours as well... it wouldn't hurt... trust me!"

"And about stealing? Ppppleassse!... Trust me... if I wanted to steal them I would have done it a long time ago...
Be at ease... you will be payed in full... for a job well done..."

Having sed this, the wanderer takes the small wooden box and begins to inspect each one of them with minute acuracy...
After compleeting this task... wich took a couple of minuts, he gived his verdict

"Hmm... A comendable effort... you managed to go far beyond of where the normal smiths got to...
But saddly, they aren't -perfect-..."
He takes out 4 of the 9 bullets and stes them aside...
These for bullets aren't quite right..."
He picks one up
"This one is not of the right diameter... the diametar of a bullet is crucial... I won't go in to detaills cause I'm sure you know the consequances of wrong bullet size ( whille saying this, his voice held NO amount of irony or disrespect... something that was rare at the Wanderer )"
He then picks another one up
"This one has a small bented nose cone... it might of been a accident... but what ever the cause, this would influance it's direction in flight... could potentially miss it's target..."
The wanderer showed the, allmost unnoticable flaws on the other two bullets, then he closed the box, without puting the bullets in, and handed all for flwed bullets, and box to smith, saying...
"The rest are perfect... a good job on those... now, please do the other 9 bullets like you did the first five and everything will be just fine...
And one mor thing... how's about we stop looking down each other's noses? Huh? I really had enough of having that were ever I go..."
Having sed this, hs simply stood there, quyetly... waiting for an answere...

Jenshin grins widely."Ah, well, no one's perfect. I accept your 'terms of behavior'. In that case, come back in two-day's time, see if I haven't gotten the last few bullets done. And if none of them satisfy you, you may shoot me with my sweetest rifle."He looked at a rifle mounted on the wall and sighed in contentment. He chuckled, then added, "if you can see down MY nose, please, continue as you see fit. however, I will cease this act whether you do or not. Now, unless you want more screwy bullets in more time, i suggest you leave me to my work."He said the last bit kindly, turning to the rifle he was polishing...

"Hmm... a nice weapon indeed... Now, you do know that I could go on ratteling about how improvements could be made... but I don't think it's the case... it's your gun and your shop and I won't bother you any more...
Have a nice day... and see you in two days time..."the wanderer concluded... his voice was simple, with no emotions depicted in it... it sounded allmost like the voice of a young child, that has problems geting around town then the one of a persone that had no home and was constantly braving the roads and all their dangeres, bethem hidden, or not...
Having sed this, the wanderer, turns around and heads for the door... allways making sure nobody could see his face, keeping his hood fermly pooled over his head...
He closes the door behind him...

Two days have past since the wanderer was last here... and now he returned as he was asked...
He walks in the stone brick room and adresses the smith
"Well, I'm back... two days as you sed... are the bullets done?"

"As you wished. each an exact replica of the first. I checked over them at least five times, and made extra than needed if those fail." he turned, holding the wooden box in his hands....

"Hmm..." sed the wanderer as he took the small wooden box " We shal see..."
He then proceded to re-inspecting all bullets again... after another couple of minutes...
"Yes... they are well done and cuality is aceptable... al in all... A job well done... congratulations..."
He sets the closed wooden box down on the table and asks:
"So... how much is this gona cost me?"

"Something close to..."Jenshin leans back onto the table, considering.."Depends on what you can afford...450 gold peices should cover it..."

"Ok... sounds resonable"
He reaches in to his backpack and pulls out a big sack full of coins... He oppenes it and sets it on the table...
It was full of golden coins... and they all had different types of simbols on them... suggesting that they were from different kingdomes...
Somme of the gold pieces even had the simbol of the dragon that Selek seemed to hate so much...
This was obviously not the wanderer's own gold... but there was no way to prove he stole it from anywere...
The bag contained hardly 1000 pieces..
The wanderer then grinds:
"Take out of here" he waits for a moment and then adds " And that means you can take as much as you whant...
And if you would take it all you would be taking a great burden off my back... that sack is heavy...
Oh... and one more thing... aren't you forgeting something?
Give me my book back..."

Jenshin smiles, picking out exactly the price he offered from the bag.."I kept your book safe, be sure of that.."He tucks away the coins and brings down the weathered book of the Wanderer from a shelf, presenting it to him....

"Oh well... it seams I have to suffer this forsaken gold some more..." sed the wanderer as he took the book from the smith and put it in his back pack...
And then he took the bag and did the same...
"Well... our buisniss is completed... Goodby... we will probably never meet again..."

Saying this, the wanderer simply turns around and heads for the door...

"A dark and rather annoying person if I ever seen one!" He allows his hand to stray to the rifle on the wall...
