2010-11-17 [Elwyne]: Amarlin won't step up and help without being asked. It's up to the person she's with to think of ways for her to be able to help. She can cast in general just about any kind of spell save for ones that blast straight out. She can cast trap like spells, defensive ones, one for light or tracking or healing and more subtle types of spells.

2010-11-29 [Elwyne]: um... did you read about what Amarlin did then? She made a barrier that blocked all inanimate weapons that come through the air. Meaning unless they're magical the arrows would be blocked by her spell. She can't stop magic arrows, and she couldn't stop the attackers themselves, but she stopped any ranged weapon from being used on them.
