Skills: Like an Elf he is very strong and agile despite his appearance of slenderness. He has a special ability of swiftness that allows him to get by most traps and bolt/arrow attacks; it also helps with his masterful skill with his flamberge. Strength, agility, and swiftness are the main requirements for the use of his weapon.
Weapons: a black hilted flamberge and a collection of throwing daggers marked with a silver, crescent moon so he can retrieve them back.
Appearance: Mathis has short, white hair almost like snow and has deep, red eyes as the crimson rose. He wears a long, short sleeved coat (always zipped up), wearing a white sleeveless shirt underneath. He wears ebony gloves in comparison to charcoal, and the same goes for his pants which is worn over his pair of buckled boots.
Personality: He is quite noble and very dedicated to chivalry. Mathis is listens before speaking, but when there is dark trouble abroad he is quick to inform others of the problem. He is very respectful and kind. Mathis loves to solve problems, always trying to figure out a way without violence depending on the situation. If the problem-to-be-solved had something to do with war, it would be the opposite. Overall, he is considered a generous knight with a remarkable sense of adventure.
Distinguishing marks or traits: There is a dragon tatoo on his back that he's had since he was 18 (his father put it there when Mathis aquired his dragon friend Cinabre). Mathis has a soothing, strong French accent, but he does very well with his English; it's not broken like some would think.
History: He was born in France a long time ago, and when he was 6 years old he had to move to Belatona where he was to be a page. Here he was given his education and was taught chivalry and te value of life itself. At fifteen he became a squire to serve one of the knights of Belatona. He was taught how to use certain kinds of weapons and how to ride horses. Mathis became a knight at an early age of nineteen and that was around the time when his father came to visit him. Proud of his son, he brought two gifts; the dragon tatoo, which he painstakenly drew on Mathis' back, and a young red dragon Mathis named Cinabre.
Relatives: none in Belatona, but in northern France.
Hobbies: Writing in his journal about his journeys, writing letters to his relatives in France, practicing with a variety of weapons and battle styles, meditating in silence or in nature's music, going hunting with Cinabre, going exploring in the forests or anywhere for that matter (even deep dungeons for the fun of it), studying the history of ancient ruins, spending a good amount of time on the training fields, reading, and taking the time to help others. Mathis' other hobby is training and taking care of falcons (falconing).
Pets: His white battle horse Blanc'ami (whitefriend), Cinabre (more of a companion than a typical pet, and his falcon Rapid'aile (swiftwing).

Description:
Cinabre is a 197 year old dragon whose scales are as red as crimson blood. He is a mild-tempered dragon, being rather obedient, but also with a mind of his own. His idea of taking breaks means going to the pond, lake, or ocean, and chilling out beneath a few trees. He loves to go off hunting and take little adventures of his own. Sometimes he can disappear from sight for a while, but he always comes back when he's needed. He is not even afraid of speaking his mind to his master.
