The scene around them changed, it looked as if they where surounded by a large forcefield. Apocylips' pyramid stood in the distance. Four figures stepped out of the sun. The HOrsemen of Apocolyps. The Morlock Leech stood as Pestilance. The X-Man Colossus was War. Avalanch, formerly a member of Magnito's brotherhood was Famine. Death stood before the group an easily recognizable figure, the X-Man Windego. Delaney Blackfeather Smith.
"Thank's for giving her an idea." Logan told Crys and tapped Delaney on the shoulder.
"Awe fuck."
Delaney cursed seeing herself several yards away with the other horsemen. She did not remember much of her time when she was under Apocylips' controle.
"Oh boy...."
Morgan said, starring at the villans and the new surroundings, "This is going to get messy..."
Crys's lip trembled as Logan snapped at her. "I didn't do anything!!! She's a highly advanced AI system, she was probably figuring out what to throw at us next..."
Kurt looked up at the pyramid. "At least this time, I don't have to hold back." He took Del's hand softly. "Who do you want?"
Morgan stretched her legs a bit. "Which one do I get?" she asked, getting into a running stance.
"It's best if you try to not get involved." Laura told Morgan. "She seems to only attack those trying to help us."
"I'll take the bitch in front."
Delaney said taking off her X-coat.
Crys looked at Laura. "She did say her goal was to kill the X-men. But I don't want you to die! You're too cool!"
Laura looked at Crys "I don't plan on dieing."
"But she's programmed to kill you. You can't go against programming. She'll just keep coming until you're dead..."
Crys pleaded. Looking concernly at Laura
"I'm a bit harder to kill than most." Laura said
"That's what the bosses say in every single game but they always die in the end because if they lived, it would be going against the program..."
Crys pleaded
"Do I look like an endboss?" Laura asked. She sought for the termonoligy to make Chrys understand "We are the players not the badguys."
"Yea,"
Morgan added, "She is just a machine. You of all people should know about these things. I don't see why we don't just dump water on her. Won't that make her short circut or something?"
"No,
you don't look like an end boss..."
Crys said then pointed to Logan, "But he does."
Daine looked at Crys and laughed. "He's not an endboss, though," she said, grinning. "He's a whole lot harder to get rid of than an endboss, that's for sure." As she was looking at the new enemies, a thought struck her and she turned to Casey. "The blood mercury that I have with me, Aly, I know it has a life of it's own...do you think it'd help me fight?" As if on cue, Aly slithered out of the pocket it had occupied and sat up on Daine's shoulder.
Delaney dropped her coat and began walking towards her Horsemen self.
LOgan grabbed her arm "We need to regroup," He said "You should go for Avalanche, I'll take care of you... her... whatever."
Laura joined the two of them.
Delaney looked at Logan "Laura can take Avalanche, you should take Colossus, Kurt can handel Leech and I'm taking her."
"Del-" Logan began
"I think she's right." Laura said "Delaney knows her own weakspots better than anyone."
"Casey, Diane,"
Delaney said "Can you guys keep an eye on the students and make sure no one gets hurt?"
"You do remember that Leech got alot worse than when he was down in the sewers don't you?"
Kurt asked as he stepped forward. He ignited his shadow sword and looked up at the slimey green mutant on the pyramid. "When I came to save you, Del, he was the hardest to get passed." He looked at Casey. "What happens to your Blood Mercury when you don't have control of it?"
Morgan was a bit annoyed having her question not been answered. She payed attention as the orders were being given out.
"It wouldn't work." Laura told Morgan noticing that no one had answered her. "The Ai system is too advanced. We'd have to take out the entire city and surrounding towns at one time to prevent her from transfering her intelegence."
"Ah."
Morgan nodded. "So...now what captains?"
"Absolutely. You can't rely on controlling it directly, but it can tap into the emotions you give off and act accordingly."
Casey turned to Kurt. "Blood mercury has very basic intelligence--
like a particularly stupid dog. When I'm not controlling it and have left no orders, the AI kicks in and it acts on its own."
"Ok." Morgan began, "So how DO we take her out? I mean, it's kinda pathetic to be beaten on our own turf. Is it not?" She was a bit antsy from standing around.
"We stand here," Casey replied dryly, "And we talk. Danger's polite enough a program to wait until we've finished our conversation before launching an attack, apparently."
Kurt chuckled at Casey's comment. "She want's to beat us at our best apparently. Attacking before we're redy wouldn't be good enough at this point." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Alright basic intelligence. So if I say attack, it'll do just that? Once we get close to Leech, we're going to be without our mutations."
"If threatened it'll do that on its own," Casey replied. "It will also act in the best interests of my own health." She paused a moment, losing focus on the world around her. "..But yes, it will now."
"Good. Casey, you and the blood mercury are with me. We need to get Leech away from the others so they can fight the rest of the horsemen." Kurt explained
Casey nodded. "That can be done."
Kurt nodded and looked again at the beast who had once been their Morlock friend Leech. "Apocolypse works better than steroids."
The Horsemen began walking towards the group.
"Change in posture." Laura said shortly,
"Our little huddle is over..." Logan told them
Delaney looked at Morgan "You and the kids stay by Diana, don't get in the middle of this."
Joss who had been listening t the conversation put his hand on Morgan's shoulder. "Come." He whispered
"Alright Casey, it's showtime." Kurt said looking at the woman, who he could not quite place from his past. "Leech is going tot ake our powers as soon as we get in range, this is basically all on your mercury."
The Horsemen began to seperate.
Delaney walked forward away from the group.
Death smiled at her reflection as she seperated from her X-Men.
Pestilence slithered more than he walked, making sure to move himself closer to his companions, protecting them from attack
"Your thighs are spreading." Death sneered at Delaney as she walked somewhat calmly towards her
"Nice splitends." Delaney said as she purposley moved fruther away from Pestilence. She could distract Death further away from teh group
Death cackled insanely and took a few quick steps forward. "I am Death, do you really think I need Pestilence to protect me from you?" She stuck her tongue out quickly "I'm your better."
"If your my better then why is it I'm the one still around and your a hologram?" Delaney asked.
"Ok." Morgan agreed. She backed away with Joss. "This first day is a hell of a one, isn't it Bat?"
"None stay as The Horsemen of Apocolypse for too long." Death explained and midshifted tiger, massive flesh tearing fangs grew from her mouth as the ragged claws emerged from her figner tips, the shadow adamantium glistening eeriely
Casey flashed a dangerous grin at Kurt. "Hey," She winked. "Peice o' cake." She stared at Leech. See that, boy? That's a nasty, nasty man. I won't be able to talk to you when I'm around him. And ain't that a sad thing? The blood mercury rippled and swelled. Truthfully, I'm not sure I could live with such a distance. Tear him to shreds for me, will you? The blood mercury leapt underneath her control, but she banked it. Not until she had to let go.
"This is gonna be fun." Kurt replied and cracked his neck. He gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, knowing full well when they got closer, the blade would return to him, but it was comforting to know it was there now.
"But then again, I'm real and your a mass of light particles." delaney reminded Death. her shift took on a more dramatic form. She'd mdshifted into a sabertooth tiger. Much larger than Danger was now she waisted no time in attacking.
The tiger shifted backwards when Del had changed into the sabertooth. Even the Horsemen of Death knows when it's beat. A sabertooth would be the superior to the siberian tiger that Death had changed into. Even under Apocolypse's control, the animal instincts were still stronger. The tiger backed up, her fur raised on end
Delaney raored forward, claws outstretched she caught Death's hard in her grip and flipped her over to sink her jaws into her neck
Death roared as slashed at Del's face with her paws, raking the shadow adamantium deep into the sabertooth's flesh
DElaney clinched down harder on Death's throat. No matter how deep her face bled she wasn't about to let go
Death roared and grew immensely, her neck ballooning up, thick leathery skin replaced her striped fur as she shifted into a rhino
DElaney felt her jaw stretch and quickly let go. No way her teeth could break threw a rhino's skin. She stood back and realized what could. Logan's claws. She shifted into her human form and into Logan's instincts. her claws extended she shifted down into Laura's so she could have the claws on her feet instead of three on each hand she now had two.
Death bellowed and slowly stood up on it's hind feet, a trait uncommon in a rhino and that's when she began to midshift to human as well, keeping the massive horns and hide
DElaney attacked. Her skill had greatly imprived since she had been death and waisted little time in ridding her of her horn with her claws
Death roared defineately and leathry wings pretruded from her back as the horns regrew and tusks spewed from her face. her leathery hide changed to thick scales and her neck extended skyward
Delaney's hands dropped to her sides. She looked up at what appeared to be the mixture of a lizard, a bat and a rhino. It looked like a dragon. "Awe fuck..." She could easily take down a Sentinal by herself but a goddamn dragon. "Guys I might need a hand here."
Death roared and looked down at Delaney through blood red eyes. She swung her tusks from left to right, marking the barrier for her Xmenself.
"You think she's talking about us, Bat?" Morgan asked.
"Ah what the hell." Delaney whispered to herself and charged forward. She jumped into the air and latched onto Death's chest. Her claws sank threw the tough hyde and she began hacking at the creature
"Um No." Joss Said
Death roared and flung her head up, ripping her horns down to her own chest and slamming them intot he flesh surrounding Del, cutting the Xman right from her chest
"Yikes..." Morgan said aloud, "Hope they know what their doing."
Crys nearly dropped her gameboy when she saw the dragon gore itself and rip a chunk out of it's own chest
"Ew.." Morgan uttered, "Delicious."
Delaney was flung into the air by the violent motion. She shifted quickly into a raven to catch herself before falling. She definatly had to rethink her strategy.
Death roared and hissed as blood sprayed fromt he gaping hole in her chest. Slowly the hole began to fill back in and she bared her massive teeth to Delaney again
Morgan grit her teeth at this site, "I wish we could help her. That's too brutal to even watch."
"I think i'm going to be sick." Crys said and turned her gaze to the Horsemen called War.
War was clad in ancient battle armor, appearing to be fromt he Dark Ages. Massive spikes protruded from his shoulders, elbows, and other joints. A great devil horned helmet topped his head, hiding all trace of his true identity, however betwqeen where the armor ended and the next piece began, you could cleary see the steel flesh beneath and knew he used to be the Xman Colossus
"Jeez..." Morgan began as she watched the giant being. "It kinda sucks that half of our teachers are going to die on the first day." She was next to both Crys and Joss.
"Hey Tinman." Logan shouted and darted directly for him, claws on each hand outstretched. hoping that Apocylips hadn't upgraded colossus with adamantium.
delaney shifted into a perigrin falcon. Her form more streamline and with the ability to fly at over 200 mpr she dove out of the sky like a patriot missle aimed at Danger. She could have easily shifted into something larger to bring Danger down to her own level but she didn't. She neared Danger's face and soundlesely plucked one of Danger's blood red eyes from it's socket. She tossed it and it roled towards the students as she went in for another dive.
Danger roared and whipped her head around after Delaney plucked out her eye. She slared her wings and rose off the ground, the blood red eye popping back into existence in her skull
Delaney immediatly fled. As a perigrin falcon she could definatly outrun the beast but as to destroy it she was lost. It healed much faster than she did. Blinding it hadn't worked.
Casey was having a harder time holding onto the blood mercury, so she let it go. It bounded off, splitting into hundreds of shards and slicing at Leech from all sides.
(remember to call Leech, Pestilence - SoD)
Pestilence howled in pain, where the shards connected with his flesh a sickening hissing sound issued. He reared up on his sluglike body and slammed down intot he earth, trying to force the shards from him
The blood mercury shards only buried themselves in his flesh further, and cut tunnels through him, trying to find his brain stem.
"Do you think we should start to find a way out of here? These 'baddies', or whatever you would like to call 'em, don't seem to be paying attention to us very much." Morgan observed. "By finding a way out, we could go get help."
"It's true they're not paying much attention to us now, but if we attempted to escape, Danger would no doubt try and stop us," Daine said, but then paused. "Though...if it were only the new students leaving, not the faculty..."
"I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather not leave my teachers here to get slaughtered..." Crys said, watching the one called Pestilence carefully. There was something more to this creature than meets the eye. Why was it slamming the earth so much?
Pestilence roared and reared back, slamming his massive body into the earth once more. This time, his slimey body erupted and green ooze surged down over the steps, a tidal wave of green liquid raged towards the X-men
Kurt stared as Pestilence unleashed the wave. "That is NOT good." He turned to the others, RUN!!! he ordered all of them telepathically. If any of them came into contact with that stuff, they'd be powerless for days
"The pyramid."Joss offered "Run for the Pyramid!" He flapped his leathery wings, lifting off the ground.
(ooc: sod, you haven't posted for colossus. where you gonna play him or was I?)
(ooc: I was, but you need to cahnge Joss's post. Pestilence is descending the stairs of the Pyramid, as aare the other horsemen, are they not? - SoD)
Joselyn started to hover above the ground, the wind she'd created supporting her.
Morgan grinned, "Finally." She never liked staying in one place. It made her anxious and cranky. In a flash she disappeared from sight and reappeared up at the ceiling.
The blood mercury reformed into a giant blade and sliced Pestilence in half lengthwise, finding easy purchase in his sludgy flesh.
Pestilence seethed in anguish and thrashed around. He grabbed a hold of the giant blade and attempted to throw it away
The blade melted under his hand, meshing around his fingers. Then it grew razor-sharp edges and bit them at the joints. The other half probed his skin, searching for his face, and dove into his lungs.
(ooc: fyi here, Pestilence is basically a Centaur, but rather than the lower half being a horse it's a big ass slug. lol dunno if anyone could picture him the way I had but there's the blunt description. a Slugtaur. - SoD)
(ooc: Oh, good. I thought for a sec he was the little green kid guy I found on the google search. >.< - PT)
(OOC: He was. But Apocolypse does terrible things to those he makes his horsemen. most of them you would never recognize after the transformation. He was the lil green guy, then Ap upgraded his powers and gave him a body that more resembles what he went by "Leech". he's got half a leech body and upgraded muscle structure and then altered powers. -SoD)
(ooc: oh. well, that's good. Otherwise Casey would've ended up hugging him or something. ONWARD. -PT)
(ooc: we all would have. - SoD)
Pestilence's roar was cut off as the blood mercury invaded his lungs. He lurched forward and upheaved more green ooze
The blood mercury retreated, but it wasn't a victory for Pestilence. At his throat, it shifted into something very much resembling an electric saw, and expanded, working very much like an electric saw would, if the circumstance had been offered it.
(ooc: ..so. wait. The blood mercury is fighting against a slug? And blood mercury being metal, and easily sharpened at will? Against a slug who can make sludge that, for the most part, doesn't effect it? I feel a little guilty.)
(ooc: don't feel bad. remember, he's only a hologram lol)
Pestilence howled in pain as the mercury became a sawblade, slicing it's way through his tender throat
The blood mercury found the space between his neckbones and sliced through the cartilage, circled once more to make sure it didn't miss any extra tendons, and pushed Pestilence's head off of his body.
There was a sickening seething sound as Pestilence's head was removed from his body. The air escaped his body and he deflated, appearing now as a sickening bag of slimey flesh
The blood mercury didn't stop there. Forming large blades, it quartered Pestilence as if he were a fish being prepared for sushi.
Casey frowned. "That's enough," she commanded. It continued, heedless of her demand. "Stop!"
Kurt turned away, sickened by the image. Pestilence had once been their friend, and even though he himself showed noi mercy on the Horsemen, what the blood mercury was doing was too much
Casey glanced at Kurt desperately, then gave a huge, frustrated groan. She marched up the stairs to the corpse of Pestilence and thrust a hand up to her wrist into the blood mercury, grabbing it and pulling it towards her. "STOP," She commanded. "That's enough."
The blood mercury only understood that Casey was mad at it, and balked at her reproach. It slithered off Pestilence humbly and groveled at her feet. She pointed at it accusingly, then at the base of the pyramid. It went, reluctantly. She watched it pass, then looked down at herself. Her legs and arms were coated in Pestilence's sludge, and it mingled with the blood mercury. "Aw, hell."
Morgan darted back onto the ground. She sat, watching the room around her.
Delaney dove out of the sky and sped by Kurt seeing Pestilence vanquished. Quickly she said "Icoulduseahandhere!"
Morgan began to rapidly rub her hands together. The amazingly fast motions created heat. She pressed her hands onto the floor she was sitting on. The floor didn't burn as she had hopped, "Guess not."
Kurt's shadow grew and became a set of wings and he flew up into the sky, darting to his wife as quickly as his power could take him. He slammed full force into the side of Death and grunted
Delaney landed hard against the side of the pyramid and shifted into her human form. She slid several feet before being able to latch on. She breathed heavily. Thankful for Kurt to distract the beast so she could catch her breath.
Kurt's wings disolved and he moved his shadow up to create his sword. Able to cut through just about anything, he was asstonished when it merely bounced off the scales of Death
Death roared at Kurt and rounded on him with her head, tusks aimed at his chest.
Kurt cried out in pain as the tusks raked across his chest. He fell to the ground and landed with a sickening thud, multiple bones snapping on the impact.
Seeing this Delaney jumped off the side of the pyramid and shifted into a raven, she flew above the dragon beast and shifted into a rinoserous. Dropping like a rock threw the air she landed directly on top of the dragon.
"Sonuva--" Casey started, watching Kurt hit the ground hard in horror. She shouted at the blood mercury again, calling it to cover her like armor. It leapt to the task, hoping by doing so it could redeem itself. Casey quickly reviewed the commands it knew and ran, jumping on Death's back.
death rared as Delaney landed on her back, again when Casey found her way ontop of her. She thrashed wildly trying to dislodge the two mutants from her.
Delaney quickly transformed agiain. "Cut me a hole!" Shr called to Casey. If she couldn't destroy the beast from outside then she might have a better chance from within
"You needn't ask," Casey yelled back. "Needles!" She commanded, and the blood mercury on her fingers sharpened into surgical tools fine enough to cut between the scales. She plunged her claws into Death's back and made a circular cut, then grabbed the flesh and cut out a plug of muscle, ripping it out of Death's back and discarding it. She slid back a little, leaving Delaney some room to get to the new hole.
Delaney took a breath then concnetrated. Complecated shifts where a bit harder to master and she hadn't exactly thought this thing threw. She shifted into one of the shaodw cats from Kurt's shadow realm. Complete with razor sharp shadow adamantium spines along her back and deep shredding claws she dove into the fleashey hole and began to cut herself a path to the creatures insides.
Death roared again and rolled onto her back, thrashing, trying to rid her body of her antagonists.
"Woah!" Casey climbed over to Death's revealed belly and did a little more surgery, slicing a long line right above Death's ribcage and shoving a hand in, grabbing a random organ and tearing it from her body, holding it over her head. "See, here's your problem!"
Death groweled wrything in the sand as Casey and Delaney tormented her
Delaney clawed her way deeper, using her claws and teeth to rip and tear at anything she bumped into inside Death
Death's roar turned into a gurgeled cry.
It was too dark and tight for her hightened eyesight to make out anything threw the dark other than a dark blood red haze. But Delaney became pressed against something large and endulating. Instinct told her it was teh creature's heart. She tore into it instantly once she'd decerned what it was. All be it hologratorrent of blood spewed forward at Delaney soaking her.
Casey jumped up to Death's throat, straddling her neck, and rammed her claws into her jaw and through the roof of her mouth into her brain.
Danger's body stopped wrything. She convulsed once and as the mixture of her brain and heart being ripped to shreds she fell with a crashing force into the sand.
"To me!" Casey retracted her claws and they melded back into armor. She wiped the blood on Death's dead body and jumped off. "Heh. Death and Pestilence, both down for the count. Who's left?" She turned back. "Delaney? You still in there?"
Delaney had managed to hack a small hole threw the beast's chest. She was still covered in holographic blood but she was in her human form. She fit one shoulder and her chest threw the hole. "Help me!" She called to Casey "Kurt's hurt!"
Casey climbed back up the corpse and made her way to where Delaney was. "Needles." Her fingers extended into claws again, and she sliced more room in the hole. "To me," and the claws receded. She grabbed Delaney under the arms and helped pull her out of the corpse. "What needs to be done?"
Famine stepped forward and tremors shook the entire pyramid. He wore armor that concealed his entire body. He was once named Avanlanche and had wore similiar armor, except you could see a little of his face before. But now even that little bit was covered. "I am Famine! What needs to be done? Off my Master's pyramid!" He raised his hands and the tremors increased expotentionally. Massive cracks formed throughout the pyramid,t he massive blocks that made it up begant os hift beneath their feet.
War slowly stepped down from the final step and stood defiantly awaiting the Wolverine's move. He stood at a massive height, easily towering over all of them. His massive black adamantium armor shone eerilly. He crossed his arms and waited silently. Glowing red eyes shown through the slit in his helmet.
Delaney squishely slipped from the hole with Casey's help. With Famine's attack rumbeling the pyramid dust and small rocks tumbeled down on them. She hurried to Kurt's side "Kurt!" he was unconsious. "Casey, get him to Crys. She can heal him!"
Laura shrank close to the grounds feeling it tremmor beneath her feet. Claws extended she ran for Famine, determined to make this a short encounter.
Logan knew the scent of adamantium all to well when he looked at War. He wondered if Apocolypse's upgrade extended beneath his midevil armor.
"Got it." Casey followed. Turning to her blood mercury, she commanded, "Carry him. Follow me." The blood mercury sloughed off of her and carefully wrapped itself around Kurt, growing strong legs underneath him. Casey ran to Crys, the blood mercury following her. "You'd better have some more of those max potions in stock."
Crys put her hand to her mouth when she saw Kurt. "Mr. Smith...." She shooked her head. "I'm all out of them...that was the last one and I don't have the coin to get any more."
You could see the sick twisted smile within the slit of War's helmet as he took a step forward. "Wolverine..." he said quietly, his voice thick with a Russian accent
"What?" Joss said "They need his help you have to have another!"
Logan rushed forward, his claws aimed for the leather strapps of War's armor
War easily ducked out of Logan's slashes and chuckled. He reached out and grabbed Logan's neck, digging his fingers into the tender flesh, that's when his new power emerged for the first time. Cold liquid steel seemed to ooze from his finger tips, his steel skin was spreading to Logan. "Feel my Iron Grasp."
Crys cringed slightly as Joss yelled at her. "I'm sorry....I might have sometihng just give me some time to look...."
Logan struggeled in War's grasp. The fridgid metal oozed over his skin, enchroaching around his face. A well aimed claw removed the armor form War's arm and Logan dug all six of his claws into his arm.
War didn't even make a sound as Logan's claws sank into him. He simply squeezed his grip tighter on his neck. "It won't take long. Soon you will join the others in my gardens."
"Logan!" Delaney yelled, shifting into a cougar she pounced forward knocking them to the ground. She quickly wheeled off of War to prevent him touching her with his new power.
War growled defineately as Delaney shoved him to the ground. "FAMINE! TAke care of her!" He threw his arm out, keeping her at a distance.
Famine nodded and continued down the pyramid, blocks shifting and pulling from their place as he walked. He locked his eyes on Del and a block slid from it's place and flew through the air to her
The block was cleanly sliced in two as Laura rushed infront of Delaney. The block split and the pieces cleanely missed them.
Logan slid a few feet from Delaney's pounce but the metal was still growing over him. he grasped at his face as it was covered.
War grabbed a hold of Del's ankle as he pulled himself up. He tore her legs out from under her, letting his Iron Grasp work on her as well. "You'll pay for that, little wench."
Famine cursed and raised all the blocks surrounding him on the pyramid. "I am taking you down, little clone girl." He grinned though it would remain unseen beneath his mask and the twenty gigantic blocks flew through the air, tremors shaking the earth beneath Laura's feet as well
"I'm sick of this!" Morgan said aloud. She dashed towards one of the sides of the room. She felt the wall. Morgan knew that with her ability it was possibly to vibrate her own molecules so that she would be able to go through the wall and end up on the other side. She had tried it before and failed.
Casey watched War slowly turn Laura and Logan into metal statues and gently set Kurt on the ground. "You get that max potion, I'll be elsewhere. To me!" The blood mercury coated her. She ran and jumped on War's shoulders, shoving her fingers through the slit in his helmet. "Two can play that game! Inside him! Needles!" The blood mercury rushed in his nose and mouth and into his body, peircing holes in his lungs and nasal cavity. (ooc: hope that's not too much action in one post. -PT)
(ooc: no that's alright, but don't think War will go down as easily as Pestilence. Apocolypse has upgraded his power remember? - SoD)
War groaned in pain as the blood mercury seeped into his body. He felt the needles slice through his organs and he reached up, taking a hold of Casey's wrist. The power of his Iron Grasp began to spread onto her as well. "None shall escape me!" He thundered and threw her at Logan. He gripped his shoulders and seethed. Taking in a deep breath he turned his own organs to steel, a trick that was compliments of Apocolypse. Before becoming the Horseman of War, Piotr Rasputin would only be vunerable from the inside, seeing this, Apocolypse granted him the power to become steel above and below his skin.
Morgan's body form seemed to blur. She was trying to vibrate her molecules so that she could pass through the wall and get help. She pressed her hand onto the wall with no success, "Faster..."
(ooc: Oh, that's good. okay. -PT)
Casey landed on the ground and skidded a little next to Logan. Some of the bloody mercury stayed within War, losing contact with Casey. Angered, it began to bore holes in the steel organs, trying to tunnel out to join Casey. Some went back up into his face and covered his eyes, blinding him. Casey groaned and struggled with the Iron Grasp metal spreading on her hand. "Blades! Needles! Sandpaper! Get it the hell off me!" The blood mercury on her crawled under the iron grasp, taking off a bit of her skin in the process.
War roared in protest as the blood mercury began to force it's way from him. He clawed at his eyes and cursed in Russian, several words basically meaning to damn your father and mother. He sank his fingers into the earth and ripped a wave of rocks toward Logan and Casey
Delaney gasped seeing her leg begin to solidifie into metal and it was growing. She took a knife from her pocket and took a deep breath. She turned into a squid, keeping the knife in one of her multiple legs. Quickly she took the knife to her own leg. Slicing threw rubbery fleash she hissed. She was able to slip the now razor thin bones from her iron foot before it completely solidified. She pulled free and shifted back into her human form. Panting she cringed when she saw her black metal foot.
Laura darted between the bolders as they rocketed towards her. Using them as stepping stones she hurried along them, jumping from each one sliding towards her. She reached Famine and tackeled him to the ground.
Famine roared and threw her off of him with his seismic force, sending her flying just as he did the stones of the pyramid.
Laura gripped a stone as if flew by. She dug her claws into it to resist Famine's power.
"Do you really believe you can defeat me!? I AM FAMINE!" He roared and slammed the stone she was on directly into the pyramid
Laura jumped from the stone as it slammed against the pyramid. She slid down teh side several feet. She begann running down teh side of the pyramid, gaining speed as she dodged more stones. She slammed into Famine claws first.
Famine hissed as her claws slammed into his body, stabbing straight through. He roared and trew her off of him with enough seismic force to bring down the entire pyramid. He shifted about 30 massive stones and threw them after her, blood seeped from his wounds but he didn't care anymore
Three stones slammed into Laura from differnt directions one after another. She bounced across the round wth a groan. She wrenched herself up, her groan turning into a growl. She charged forward again.
Definantly, Famine slammed his foot intot he ground creating a rock wave that sent enormous chunks out of the ground, surging directly to Laura
Laura jumped, using the stone as a runway to Famine. She jumped, unsheathing the claws from her feet. She kicked Famine across the face and pierced his throat with the other
Famine's scream was cut short as her claw sank through his throat. He grabbed a hold of her ankle and sent seismic waves through her body, turning his muscle tissue to mush. He knew she had the healing factor that Wolverine had so it wouldn't be long before she would recover from this attack. He ripped her from him, slicing her claw clear through his throat, his had moved awkwardly after he did so and he threw her with all his might, adding a wave of seismic power after her, excellerating her, he sent her crashing into War. Then he dropped to his knees and then face first onto the ground, dead as a doornail.
Laura slammed into War with a grunt. She fell at his feet unconsious.
War grunted and turned to see what struck him. He saw the woman at his feet and grabbed her by her hair, hoisting her up. He looked past her to where she came from and watched Famine fall. He gritted his teeth and grabbed her throat, surging the Iron Grasp onto her, his other hand took hold of her arm and he flooded her with liquid steel from both hands. "Soon you will all fall." he said quietly, turning so the students could watch her become a statue
This time, Crys did drop her gameboy. "Miss Laura!!!!" She shrieked as the steel covered her already dubbed favorite teacher
Laura fell solid to the ground.
less than a yard away Logan too was a statue. Frozen in a state of horror.
Joss gasped realizing that War couldn;t be beaten. He began to hum to himself
Crys turned to him and had to hold back from slapping him. "Is this boring you!?!?! Our teachers are all being turned into statues and you're humming!?!?!!"
Joss ignored her, continuing to hum.
Delaney, her foot nearly completely, healed stood up.
Joss gasped "I got it!" He smiled and took a deep breath. He released a noice which was a lot like a low violin cord.
War grabbed the sides of his head and roared in agony as Joss's sound waves rippled through him
"not good." Delaney whispered and hurried back to the grup where she knelt beside Kurt.
Joss continued the note.
War growled and thrashed about and his entire body shook violently, the sound wave was beginning to shatter him
"Cass..." Delaney said quietly to Casey "Think you can put up a shield? Something tells me he's not gonna crumbel like a tea cup."
Joss began breathing with his third lung to continue the momentum of the note.
War thrashed wildly, clutching at his head. He ripped the horned helmet off and threw it to the ground, cursing as blood spewed from his ears
Joss continued his murderous song
"I can try." Casey had managed to peel away the iron grasp from her wrist, and was flexing it. She formed all of the blood mercury in the palm of her hand. "Shield everyone except that man." She pointed at War. "Save him--" she pointed to Joss,"--for last. Nothing gets through." The blood mercury immediately bounded off and formed a bubble around student and X-man alike. The bubble around Joss half formed and acted somewhat as a temporary amplifier for his voice.
War howled in pain, stomping the ground, causing minor tremors to ripple through the earth. He tore away his adamantium armor in a painstaking rage of anger. His enitre body rippled as the song continued to tear him apart slowly
The blood mercury still inside War was effected by Joss's song, but much less than it effected War. It drilled a hole in his torso and shot out of him, bounding into Casey's shell.
Joss dodged the needel and his song fel short for a moment. He sang again however, as loud as he could
War's body began to bubble as if he were boiled on the inside. He spread his arms and cursed in Russian, his voice reverberating so all could hear, then he exploded, shattering into millions of shards, sending them flying in all directions at once
Morgan had darted next to Crys and Joss before the shield's were put up. "That's so cool." she said crossing her arms and leaning more towards one side.
The blood mercury absorbed the shrapnel that hit it. The half-shel around Joss closed just in time to protect him. Casey winced at the impact; she couldn't feel it because of Pestilence's anti-power goo, but she knew it was painful and difficult for the blood mercury to maintain. Once the explosion died and the rain of shrapnel subsided, the blood mercury bubbles sloughed off their charges, spitting out peices of metal onto the ground and collecting around Casey again.
Joss couched once his song ended. He was suprised at the impact at which War imploded.
Crys stared at the smoldering circle where War had just stood. "Wow...."
"Yeah amazing." Delaney said sarcasticaly. "Now come here and fix Kurt."
Crys snapped out of it. "Oh yeah. I think I've got something that'll work. It's not max potion though, so keep your fingers crossed I guess." She walked over to Kurt and had to sustain from barfing. His arm was twisted all the way around, enough to make anyone sick really. "It's called Full Restore. It works in about the same way as the potion, but it heals paralysis, burns, poisons, the works." She brought it out of her game and crossed her fingers as she sprayed it onto him
Delaney didn't cross her fingers but she waited anxiousley
Kurt coughed up blood and then looked at his wife, a smile forming on his lips. "How many times I gotta take a bullet for you?"
"I meant for you to distract her." Delaney said "Not get yourself fileted." She kissed him
Kurt held her in that kiss and then smiled. "Well I distracted her didn't I?"
"Yeah." Delaney said "She's dead."
Logan's metal form twitched on the ground. His iron skin began to flake away, revealing normal skin beneath it. he moved again, more flakes falling off of him. In a matter of moments he was back to normal.
Laura too began to return to normal. The metal flaked off of her and she began to stand.
"What happened to them?" Kurt asked as he saw the metal flaking off of Logan and Laura
"War's iron grip." Delaney told him "It wasn;t fun."
Together Logan and Laura approached teh group. "We done?" Logan asked
"Don;t say that." Laura said "REmember what happened last time?"
Away from them all, Death slowly transformed back into her human form, her wounds all healed she slowly opened her eyes
Casey chuckled sadly. "If the program Danger isn't terminated, we'll be done when we're dead. We haven't been damaging Danger; she's been firing programs at us. All of the damage we inflict on them don't damage their source; they just terminate the program. You should know this," she said, turning to Crys. Then, to everyone, "Please tell me we have a technomancer somewhere."
"I know it. But no one wants to accept the fact that we're stuck in a big game." Crys told her with a sneer.
"Crys is right. This is a game, and unfortunately we're on a level below our opponent. Danger's pulling all the strings and setting us against enemies that are way out of our league." Kurt said, getting to his feet. He rubbed the top of Crys's head, messing her hair, "Thanks for the restore kid."
Death got to her feet and hissed loudly
