Tomorrow I'll be cleaning the house, then on Wednesday and Thursday I have a German invasion to take care of.

Linköping is a pioneer city when it comes to large scale cooling systems which are much more efficiant than the small ACs that generally are in use.
So this means that the university, for example, is nice and cold. But of course no one in Sweden seems to care about cold at people's homes! It's freaking 29 Celisius in my flat and 32 in poor [Elftron]'s room. And that's for processors that should not be warmer than 45... But the processor is extremely well cooled, so it's not a problem yet.
Computers! 
At 15:33 my destop computer suddenly decided that it's a good idea to turn itself off. No clue on what happened. It's on a UPS so if there were a power-problem, it should have been unaffected. Lucky it wasn't [Elftron] this time...

I don't know when I worked so much before. Maybe a week when I worked at Roxen. It just feels nice to see news things coming true, and I don't really encounter any big problems, except the ones I ignore for the moment (Like where the damn stuff to the right that somehow always is in the wrong order).
Generally I feel pretty worked out, but it feels much better than the normal "lazied out". At least I haven't competed in chess boxing:

A 750 GByte disk and a 1 TByte disk ordered. They are both a little slower (15%) than the current disk is supposed to be, but it doesn't matter that much for the images. Elftown's main drain of IO is the database-disk.
I'll get the disks on Monday or probably on Tuesday (There is a holiday here tomorrow - Sweden's National Day).
Harddisk problems at Elftown
The image disk in [Elftron] has serious problem. It takes 100 seconds to write down a 20 MByte file on the image disk. The same file takes way less than a second to write to the nicely working database disk. ([Elftron] also has a system disk, but that is a little slower disk, but way better than the broken disk).
Reading from the disk causes no problems though, so Elftown can serve you images without problem. But when people upload images, it will take much longer time. This rarely happen though, and we haven't noticed any slowdown so far.
I'm ordering a new disk now and at the same time I'll order a huge disk for backups too.
Maybe I should also send the disk (and an older broken one) back to the shop to get new disks for them, but as there is sensitive data on them so it's really nothing I want to do, and wiping them is way too much work especially since they are working so badly. The disks (Seagate 7200.10) are 85 euros each, so it's not that much money, even if it's sad to lose them.
Power failure...
The computer hall where Elftown was standing before was hit by a power failure a little more than an hour ago. Very lucky that Elftown wasn't there, even though its UPS should have been enough for it to handle the 20 minutes without power, but that's uncertain.

Working for Elfwood
[thomas] is coming here and getting me started on a lot of work on www.elfwood.co
We'll work on some new features for people who are donating regularly. The working name is "premier members", but if you have a better more Elfwoodish name for that, then message me! "elf briber" maybe...
I should also learn how to use that smiley-creator on Elfwood so that Elftowners can make their own smileys simply. (That is: Without going to Elfwood, make it there and then downloading the GIF.)
Elfwood has some new modern features, but I don't really like all of them. Saving one's presentation with buttons everywhere makes no sense to me. I rather have a preview (Oh, yes, it's still on the infamous TODO-list!).
Oh, and the best part: I'm getting paid! Will be great to have something to eat this summer.

I'm finally done with my taxes. Hopefully with my coughing too, but I got a visit from it an hour ago, so it doesn't seem to want to leave me completely.
But hopefully, I'll be back to mess up Elftown a little with some new features soon as I have nothing else planned.
A little better
I'm still coughing, but the coughing is not at all as bad as it was before. Some time in the sun and some champagne apparently did the trick the day before yesterday.

Cough, cough, cough...
The coughing became better yesterday, only to become worse during the night again, and now it's exactly the same as the last week. And it's starting to get quite boring sitting at home without energy to do anything.

Coughing, coughing, coughing... The coughing medicine doesn't really seem to help, but maybe it makes the coughing a little easier. I'll click around Elftown, but I'll take my hands of anything that demands thinking more than 30 seconds until I have a brain that doesn't feel like there is a bowling alley in it.

I just came home. I feel sick and am coughing. Bedtime!
Still in Ukraine
We`ve seen lots of tanks and dead munks today. I got a pretty good sunburn, but I don`t think it is bad. I feel a little sick though, due to bad sleeping in the highly not comfortable hostel.
Now I am uploading photos and then we are going to eat and drink. I just have to convince someones to chare my bottle of munk-wine.

We have gotten to the hostel now, and everything is fine. A little tired from a long night in Riga though.
