Valborg, done, tired. Sleep!
Level 5 and counting...
The new plague (known as the Swine influenza, but it has nothing to do with pigs, so it's a really stupid name) is now declared a level 5 plague by the WHO. In plain English that means deep shit problem!
The questions now are how many of the ones infected will die and how many will be infected before a vaccine exists (which is said to take 3 months unless someone finds a way to speed it up). To the later, the prospect isn't looking well. New York is already infected and from there the plague is probably on its way to hundreds of other places already.
I should probably go and buy one of these masks before the panic comes here.

Digging...
I dug through my diary today to see if I could find some old friend of mine or so. Found some, but people tend to be pretty far away, and I doubt they are so interested in reconnecting.
But somehow it feels important go go through the things that have happened and say hello to long forgotten friends. But it took some time.

As a result the Swedish Pirate Party (Arrr!) has gotten more than 3000 new members today and it's up to 18727 members now, making it the fifth biggest party:
https://pirate
Good news for the party as there is an important election to the EU parliament this summer. The party usually get about 13 times more votes than it has members so this means that it will get 6-10% of the votes and enter the parliament. The pirates outside of Sweden and Somalia seem to be too badly organized to become a power factor just yet.
There are 18760 members now, by the way.

At my parents' place i Ljusdal now. I'm quite tired.
I guess I should do one of these stupid things. Copied from a private entry:
Is there anyone you would like to just appear at your front door right now?
Yes!
Who was the last person you hugged and why?
Judith because I hadn't seen her for many months.
Who was the last person you said 'love you' too?
I generally don't speak English... But I guess I said the meaning to Lilo.
What are your views on vegetarianism?
I don't have any.
Are you single/taken
Single.
Do you like to take walks?
Sometimes.
Last time you laughed really hard?
I don't remember. It wasn't too long ago, but not very lately.
How late did you stay up last night?
Stupid question!
Excited for anything?
No.
Last three things you had to drink?
Milk, water and Bulgarian home-made plum vodka (Just a little).
What is your current annoyance?
That I'm lazy and write this crap instead of programming.
Where was your default picture taken?
At the university.
What were you doing at 12:30 this afternoon?
Getting ready for breakfast.
What would you name your future daughter?
Lindonia...
Do you miss anyone?
Yes.
Do you sleep with the door open or closed?
Lilo don't let me have the door closed. The flat-door is locked, of course.
You good at hiding your feelings?
No, but I try.
Are you wearing socks?
Yes.
What's on your mind right now?
"Why am I dong this?"
Are there any stressful situations in your life?
Not too much.
Who do you go to when you need to talk about something important?
Depends. [Sunrose] or maybe my ex-girlfriend if it's love problems.
Have you ever been taken to the emergency room in an ambulance?
Yes, but I wasn't the one who had tried to commit suicide...
Where did you get the shirt/sweats
It's an Elftown t-shirt! I ordered it.
Ever stayed up all night on the phone?
No. I don't see the point of long phone talks.
Have you hugged someone within the last week?
Yes, a few.
Will this Friday be a good one?
I'll be on a train, so I doubt it will be great, but it will be OK and nice to see my parents and some relatives and get a break from everyday routine.
I've been programming Javascript all day. Now I have a somewhat working slideshow function for the photo-pages here on Elftown. All that is needed is to have a page with images inside of boxes and you'll get a slideshow-butt
The RegExps took some time to figure out, but now I got what I need at least. Well, almost.
And how should I eat without a working stove?!? At least I have a micro and plenty of bread at home.
I just saw the last episode of Battlestar Galactica (There shouldn't be any spoilers here, but stop reading if you're übersensitive!).
I saw the behind the scenes movie where they promised that we should be so surprise, so I was kind of expecting a lot of twists. But the only thing that really surprised me was that it was so boring. They tried too hard to make it a grand finale, but it it just become a long long funeral. The fighting scenes were too long, the flash-back scenes were too long, the emotional scenes were too long... It was too long!
Some surprises here and there though. But not as totally shocking end as I would have made. And some things just didn't make sense.
Well, now it's over. I'll miss #6, but not so much the rest.

For more sad news: Obama is helping RIAA destroy the economy, destroy innocent people's lives and enrich the lawyers:
http://slashdo
And this he can't blame on Bush. Bush even prepared some nice resort camps where Obama could send the RIAA-people...
I watched Obama on Jay Leno this morning, and he's giving all the right answers to everything. But he isn't asked why the shrinking US-economy should keep enforcing intellectual monopoly laws that only benefit a few people and a huge number of lawyers. If you didn't have to pay for (even indirectly by higher prices) lawyers, you could easily afford new houses and cars without borrowing over 13% of GNP.
