Hm... This just seems wrong: geek and nerd
Not the definitions I use! Nerds are interested in science and engineering (unless they are language nerds etc.) while geeks dress up in cosplay and watch the same movies and TV-series again and again. (And someone can of course be a nerd and a geek at the same time.)
Have I or Wikipedia got this wrong?
I'm going to Poland (Gdansk, Sopot and Malbork) on Monday and then be very busy for some week, so I can't promise I'll be here for awhile.
If the title isn't reason enough for you to watch this 30 minutes long move, you should probably just go watch The Piano :P

Krill, the computer who runs Elfpack, Fake and all my other sites except Elftown.com refuses to start after the power outage. The disks seem to work though, so now I'm copying their contents to my computer and then I'll eventually copy the content over to Elftowns's server and run the sites from there.
I'm on my way to my parents' town now, so I just hope I can fix stuff from there.
My new roomie moved in today and brought me a fitting moving-in-pres
Ch'ti (not a shitty beer...) comes from the place in France where she was born (She was living in Luxembourg before moving here). And a Leffe just in case I need another 75cl beer.
Haven't drank them yet though.
John Snow, you know nothing... OK, maybe you knew how to stop a cholera outbreak.

Some new photos at the top. :)
I managed to rearrange the computer hall without damaging [Elftron]
Elfpack got its network card fucked up though, but after a while the server emailed me and told me where to find it on the net (I can't log into it locally, so I must find it on the net). Poor little server was lost on the big Internet, but emailed dad...
Now I can access all my crap in the storage... I so should throw away 90% of that, but sometimes it's useful...
Now I've been on my first meeting with Cendio as a social media consultant for marketing ThinLinc to regular people. ThinLinc is build for big organizations with huge computer farms, but it's actually quite useful for some private users too as I discovered when I was away from my beloved computer last week.
So if you have a Linux-server/d

ThinLinc even stores your session, unlike for example an SSH-session. You can basically just close the ThinLinc-clien
I'll be working less than half time, so I will probably have more time for Elftown than when I was studying and keep on offering me work! ;) Now time for dinner :P
So now my half year of studying geography has ended. My paper about the biggest cities in Latin America and South and Southeast Asia is confirmed approved.
Right now I'm mostly thinking about what to do and why...

Want a simple game? It demands some thinking though. It might look extremely easy at first, but then more and more stuff starts to happen... (I just slew a dragon and my trip through hell... well, that went to hell...)

Tip: Don't forget to save and save the link to your save-page! Collecting candies during the night and then your browser crashes is no fun :P

In case you wonder about the strange date format on Elftown...

Supernatural goes LARPing :P

During the spring I'll be studying a university course in geography. It will be odd and strange to return to be a student, but also very interesting and fun, and I get to meet people a little more outside of parties.
I just gave up watching an episode of Fringe (S05E04). Can someone tell me why this is boring as hell? I used to love Fringe, but season 5 is as fun as watching cancer grow on your body. But I can't tell what the difference is and why it's so awful now.
