Most of my poems are about another little story I have created called "The Third Angel". Here are a few:
NO RETURN
Through my fingers
Like grains of sand
I can't quite grasp onto your hand
I dip my palms
Into the flood
Forever stained now in your blood
No bandage and
No mother's kiss
Can stop you from bleeding like this
I try to help
And you attack
You know that I'll never fight back
And the worst part is...
You're not coming back
THE THIRD ANGEL
Three angels existed a long time ago
Long before the creation of man
When sadness was sung through their beautiful song
Then joy was expressed through their magical dance
The First Angel's eyes were as green as the forest
And her was as red as a sunset
Her dance was the flicker of a thousand flames
A dance that none could forget
The Second Angel's eyes were as brown as the earth
And her hair was as dark as the night
Her words were the waves of a thousand seas
The tales that she told could bring demons to fright
The Third Angel's eyes were as blue as the sky
And her hair was as gold as the sun
Her voice was the wail of a thousand winds
She was beautiful, sweet, and she liked to have fun
The first two angels held each other
A thousand tears they did cry
As their youngest sister, The Third Angel,
Spread her wings to fly
She flew away, but her memory stayed
Because angels never die
ANGEL'S MISTAKE
I did not mean to sound so cruel
Point my finger, you broke the rules
It's hard to say you're no one's fool
But that does not mean that you're not...
Our twilight star
Should I sugarcoat it for you?
Say that everyone adores you?
Is it that our bluntness bores you?
We're the only ones who love you...
For who you are
The truth is very rarely sweet
It will not sweep you off your feet
It is quite bitter as it greets
But at some point you have no choice...
Swallow it down
Admit it; it's overrated
All those actions that we hated
And the day we separated
We can't be there if you fall
But watch in horror as you drown
WORRISOME SISTERS
Oh Precious, bittersweet Third Angel
We just want you to be careful
We love you far too much to fight
Please stop bleeding; Do what's right
First Angel, her and myself, we
Don't want you to leave Angels three
Oh, lest we become Angels Two
And have to live life without you
OK, enough Angel poetry. How about some poetry on another topic? Here's one about how it sucks that teenagers don't get enough respect:
DOGS
We've grown up now
We did somehow
Hands and not paws
Nails and not claws
We walk on two feet
Shake hands when we meet
We think our own way
And we must leave someday
I'm pulling on my leash
You won't let me go
I want to break away
I'm tugging at my collar
I'm not getting any smaller
Let me break away
OK, now for the bizarre poem that is neither dark nor particularly cheery:
IS IT THAT YOU KNOW THE TRUTH?
I can sense those empty eyes
The glossy mask that hides them, gone
They trace a shiver down my spine
Could it be that I was wrong?
Pale but deep with silent words
In a language I don't know
The sky's reflection on the sea
So blue, so blue, intensely so
Profound, I do not understand
Persistant, you won't look away
You sit so still and do not speak
Why do you stare at me that way?
Now for a dark poem:
ASHES
When I was a child
You found me in my dreams
In a world where nothing is what it seems
You took my hand
And we followed the sun
Left our world behind and forgot everyone
Can you feel me emptiness
When you hold me tight?
Someting inside tells me this isn't right
My greatest mistake
Cannot be ignored
For all that I've dont this is my just reward
Open your eyes
And look all around
Ashes ashes
We all fall down
A tear and a shadow
And this will be done
But you're making this hard as you're standing there, stunned
A love nonexistant
A passion not real
All that I wanted but not how I feel
Open your eyes
And Look all around
Ashes ashes
We all fall down
You're everything that I dreamed you to be
My visions of you are so clear to me
As we've grown older, our lives rearrange
And I've realized now that sometimes dreams change
And last but not least, the insanely overdramatic poem:
DREAM
Blue fades to yellow, then orange, then red
The sun has set over the world in my head
I'm bathing in moonlight, I'm swimming with stars
My body stays still as my soul travels far
Alright, I'll stop torturing you with poetry.
1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses
on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.
3. Every time someone asks you to do something,
ask if they want fries with that.
4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "in"
5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone
has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.
6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favors".
7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the
prophecy."
8. Don't use any punctuation marks
9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.
10. Ask people what sex they are. Laugh hysterically after they
answer.
11. Specify tha! t your drive-through! order is "to go".
12. Sing along at the opera.
13. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.
14. Put mosquito netting around your work area. Play a tape
of jungle sounds all day.
15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend
their party because you're not in the mood.
16. Have your coworkers address you by your wrestling name,
Rock Hard Devon.
17. When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won!", "I won!"
"3rd time this week!!!!!"
18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot,
yelling "run for your lives, they're loose!!"
19. Tell your children over dinner, "Due to the economy, we are
going to have to let one of you go."
20. Put this in all of your profiles.

Little note: There are seven magical elements. NOT four. Fire, water, air, plant, stone, electric, spirit. That's how I see it. Do not attempt to argue with me on this, I will not give in.
