          The battle of Nesme`



Drizzt Do’Urden, a renegade Dark Elf which had ran from Menzobarranzan to

live about the surface. He was in between the Troll Moors and the Giant Hills, was

cooking the wild boar he had just killed. While he was cooking it he heard the snapping

of twigs nearby. Drizzt heard the orcish language that he was used to in Menzobarranzan.

He understood the Orc who had said “I smell fresh meats lets go.” Just then it occurred to

Drizzt that may be more than one Orc. Drizzt decided to wait for the Orcs to come into

sight before attacking. Four Orcs jumped out of the forest and he watched as they got

closer to the meat, just then Drizzt decided to attack, he summoned a globe of darkness

around the Orcs. The Orcs were screaming and flailing, Drizzt dashed out of the bushes

he was in and slit one of the Orc’s neck in the globe of darkness and twisted around and

cut the back of the leg behind the kneecap of another that Orc had fallen down to the

ground Drizzt’s scimitar cut the head right off the Orc, the Orc’s body had fallen to the

ground. Drizzt had felt a crude axe cross his arm and cut him fairly deeply, with a

warrior’s instinct he turned and stabbed the Orc in the chest opening his chest cavity

exposing its heart and squirting blood into the other Orcs face. Drizzt drew his scimitar

out of the Orc’s chest and tripped the other orc dragging it out of the globe of darkness.

The Orc gazed deeply into Drizzt’s lavender eyes and that was the last thing it had seen.


 Drizzt had left his little fire and took a piece of the boar with him and

dashed away to Nesme`. When he got to Nesme` they didn’t let him in for he was a drow

elf, for they had thought, they never knew that Drizzt had abandoned the drow ways. Drizzt was rejected and sent back into the wild of the troll moors but before he had left he asked the mayor of Nesme` for a torch for Drizzt knew that trolls weakness was fire.
Drizzt left for one of the small towns of the troll moors for he heard it was under attack by the trolls and giants that were in an alliance with each other. Drizzt ran down the forest path and was grabbed suddenly by a rough greenish arm and with a flash the trolls arm was missing and still latched gripping tightly onto Drizzt’s arm cutting the circulation off from his arm. Drizzt felt his arm go numb then the troll swung for him Drizzt ducked away from the troll’s monstrous club and his arm was of no use for the hand was almost breaking Drizzt’s arm, Drizzt finally burned the hand of it fell to the ground and burned motionless Drizzt looked at it then felt some wind for the troll ran past him and Drizzt drew his sword and cut the calf muscle of the troll and it fell to the ground with an earth shaking fall and released an ear breaking screech in agonizing pain. Then the calf muscle grew back for the trolls have the infamous regeneration ability and by this time the trolls hand was back Drizzt thought to himself “how am I to do this” then it came to him he climbed up a tree and stayed there until the troll was under him. The troll went under Drizzt shaking the tree to get him out and Drizzt leaped from the tree and jammed the hot log into the trolls throat burning it and killing the troll it fell to the ground and released a grueling sound out of its throat so distinct that u can tell that the skin was melting in its throat. Drizzt’s hand was now fine except for the marks on Drizzt’s arm that u can tell that it was almost broken with blood marks under the skin. Drizzt left to the town he found it utterly destroyed. Drizzt fell to his knees and murmured “I was too late…”


A elven ranger named Innovindale came up to Drizzt and said it was too late I was too late I am sorry Drizzt. Drizzt flashed at her and said “how do you know my name?” she replied “I know u I seen you when you went to meet the unicorn of Meilikki the goddess of peace and wisdom. Drizzt looked at her and said “Innovindale?” she replied “I missed you my friend” “as did I” Drizzt replied. Drizzt looked up from her slender legs to her beautiful face to her unique eyes that Drizzt had fell in love with when they met on the bridge of Moonwater her dark blue irises on the outside and light blue on the inside of her irises and her eyes never lost their twinkle and such brilliant shine.
Drizzt looked deeply into her eyes with his lavender eyes and hugged her. Drizzt said in a weak voice “I must go I am sorry I have to make it to Nesme` before they are obliterated by the army that did this they must be a day ahead of me already” Innovindale replied “ come with me I can give you a ride on my Pegasus” Drizzt said “yes” in great reply
The Pegasus blasted like a rocket with such muscle and grace and soared into the sky like an eagle they flew over and they saw a great cloud of dust in the distance. Drizzt inferred “lets fly closer to that cloud to get an idea of what Nesme` is about to fight.”
Innovindale replied “good idea!” They soared over the cloud there was six score of trolls and ten giants and about one hundred orcs. Then out of the cloud came a volley of arrows. Drizzt yelled “they have spotted us!” then out came Innovindale’s bow and arrows were reappearing into her quiver as fast as she was shooting them she killed at least 10 of the orcs and she pulled the reins of the Pegasus toward the town of Nesme`.
Which they could see in the distance.


They reached Nesme` and told the mayor of Nesme` the force that was coming to destroy all human life around the troll moors and giant hills. Nesme` gathered their forces to fight the force coming for Nesme`. The archers were upon the wall and the catapults were on the rear ready for launching. The orcs came at night were their was less visibility but Drizzt is from the underground city Menzobarranzan for he could see perfectly. And he called out directions for the men to shoot and fire. The Nesme`ans never knew that Drizzt could be such an asset this war. The trolls came running up to the doors to open them and Drizzt yelled “GET THE FIRE ARROWS READY!!!” and the Nesme` archers in the courtyard of the town were ready for the arrows. The Doors flew from their hinges when the trolls body slammed the doors and the doors killed twenty militia. And the arrows let fly and killed all the trolls that were rushing the doors and then Drizzt yelled “light the circle!” One single fire arrow flew over the wall and lit a big circle of pitch that went around the city and the trolls ran from the circle of fire into the woods. The giants and orcs were stuck in the circle of death and fire the Nesme` militia and army swarmed out of the town and killed the orcs but the trolls were harder to kill especially one it must have been a chieftain so Drizzt whispered to himself “this one is mine!” he leaped from the wall and ran into the cloud of blood and death and ran up behind the giant and cut into its shoulders with his scimitars the troll threw Drizzt to the ground and was about to kill Drizzt with his great sword and an arrow flew from the wall and stuck into the giants neck. Drizzt looked up and seen Innovindale smiling Drizzt smiled back. Drizzt jumped up from his back onto his feet and ran up the chest of the giant and slit its throat blood splattered onto Drizzt’s face.

By the end of the night there was bodies everywhere including men there was a great loss but the city was saved battered but saved. The mayor of Nesme` said to Drizzt “you made a great asset to our victory without you we never could of won Nesme` owes you one.”
Drizzt agreed and took the medal of honor that the mayor of Nesme` gave him.
