Description:
"Good 'moro gentle soul.
I am naught but a weary traveller whose feet goes where the wind takes me. I tell stories from my travels to pay my way. I have been to many beautiful places you could not believe, and met many interesting people you would not believe.
I travel to see the world, to learn new languages and cultures. To discover what has yet to be discovered.
Maybe our paths will cross..."
My name is Jayne, aka snugglebunny in the wyvern's library. The monologue above is the character i see myself being. Walking through the many different worlds of fantasy, through books, films and my own imagination. I then tell the adventure I have been on, and whether it be through vocal or written genre, I just have to tell my tales.
Fantasy has always been very important to me since a very young age. It's not just an interest but a way of life for me. I have always used it as an emotional outlet and a form of self expression. As so many people do.
I love, and I mean LOVE, epic high fantasy. I love to read it, watch it and write it.
I love fantasy films, it was these that first introduced me to fantasy. Films such as Legend, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. They just spark off the imagination! I always get a bit dubious about turning literature into films. Books spark the imagination, but in different ways to different people. I could make a film that would make my every dream come true in a fantasy sense, but be hated by everyone else. However, I was so, so happy that Lord of the Rings was an exception to this rule. I is truly an amazing piece of artwork that will go down in history in all fantasy fans hearts. I do honestly believe that fantasy is a very personal thing and only should be shared with people who really understand the true meaning of it. (Oh dear, I’m starting to sound crazy!!)
I love epic fantasy art too. Not the cartoon type. A painting of epic proportion and detail can tell a story all of it's own, if not inspire one. But, alas, i do not have the artistic talent to do anything like that at all so i will just have to be content with looking at them instead. However, i would love to have an artist look at my work and put their interpretation into a painting. That would truly be amazing.
Before I go let me tell you a little bit about the ‘everyday’ Jayne. I’m 20 years old, I live with my partner in our first house (rented L ). I work full time as a store manager for a mobile phone company. However, I wasn’t always that boring though! I was a drama student for many, many years and I spent a lot of time delving and exploring fantasy in theatre and film. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances I can not follow my chosen path at the moment but will hopefully be back on track soon.
"I must say farewell now, fellow traveller. Maybe on our next meeting we will swap a tale or two by a big log fire and some ale.
May the fates be kind to you."
