How boring would it be if every poem sounded the same?
Tenebrosity
The dark is a warm blanket
safe, keeping me safe.
In secret
fear persists
lurking to the side,
behind, in front, above
below.
Below with the dark that
never ends, a dark
that bleeds,
bleeding like I am.
Rivers flow.
Life, they cry, life!
But no…
the dark
is still bleeding,
torrents running underneath.
In the dark.
A glimpse, a light
a glimmer, reflection
diamond eyes of death
shining against the surge.
dark
warm
safe
Life!
I am a deluge
an inundation
against your hope
against your smiles.
Life!
Twilight and sorrow
encasing you
bleeding your life
your lies.
Still.
I am dusk. I am flame. I am shadow.
Safe.
The night keeps me.
