Announcing the arrival of two new badges!
The first is a new badge for you
ET Artists, a wonderful Lionfish. Isn’t it pretty?
But why this new badge? Well, it’s a bit of a long (and boring) story, but basically, we’ve never had a badge specifically for art contests like we do for literature and photography contests. We’ve always used the donor, squirrel badge, which can in fact be earned other ways. So we decided it was time to give you art contest lovers your own badge. If you entered a competition in the past though, you get to keep your squirrel badge.
Wah! I only have a half-coloured, squirrel badge! Now I’ll never get a fully coloured one! Don’t worry. There are still ways to earn the squirrel badge. All of the
Elftown Creature Marathon contests will still use the donor art badge, since the art you enter into those contests are being donated to the creature pages. You can also earn different phases of the donor squirrel by donating nifty, web graphics to decorate Elftown’s wikipages.
The second badge is for the
Featured Wiki, which for a while now has been the only Main Street feature without a badge. We decided to do something about that. Now, if your wiki is featured on Main Street, you get this nifty, puffin badge and become one of the
Featured Wikigraphers. The badging for 'Wikigraphers' will be done retro-actively
, so you’ll still get the badge, even if your wiki was featured in the past.
