Burning Conspiracy

Come with me,
I ask you to conspire,
With me,
To set everything afire,
To see if we feel alive,
To see if we are inspired.

Tease the flame,
Just watch it smolder,
Feed the flame,
Just watch it grow brighter.
Remind me,
This is no fun'ral pyre.

Come with me,
I asked you to conspire,
With me,
We've set everything afire.
Now I know that I'm alive,
Darling do you feel inspired?

Sin+Neck+Doe+Key=Synecdoche

A heart is a human,
Or does the brain mean more?
Do we lend an ear or hand?
Is the soul the core?

What is a synecdoche for a synecdoche?
(noun: a part that means a whole)
Is it just a figure of speech troll,
With confusion as its role?

Bright New Dawn

At last, I have my one true happiness,
The love that I have sought for all these years,
Yet still I feel the pull from the abyss -
My former self, the one my present fears.
About his neck, a cloak of sin he flaunts,
A garment I myself made, thoughtlessly,
With memories of past mistakes, he taunts -
I could not save them, they could not save me;
Those withered ties of friendship, now decayed,
Whose passing I do sometimes pause to mourn.
But now my past must finally be laid
To rest, so I may seize the bright new dawn,
For I can see no brighter future than
Eternity with my sweet Mia-chan.

You Are My Light

You are a light in my darkness.
Approaching me with lips pursed and fists clenched
From the sheer effort of freeing me
From this prison of flesh I dwell in.
I am not saved.

My wings are tattered and torn
Divine retribution for our sin
A choice a young angel made
When all seemed wrong in her heart.

The touch of flesh is sacred
The union of souls
Dance of mortality
Waltz of neonates
Pleasure and pain
Terrestrial sensations.

Absence of emotion is a sin.
I do not bow to Him.
I wear my wounds proudly
As one of the legion who chose my fate
With every step towards you

My wings unfold
My toes curl
In joyous anticipation
Of your touch.
