The world crashed around me once
Then it crashed around me again
But I chose to cast eyes downward
and rejoin the world of man.

The world I knew uplifted once
Carried me across the moon and sky
But I lost my hold as it spun
With tired wings that could not fly.

I gazed within our world once
and found a soul that knew me
I wept as the waves crashed over us
and carried you back into the sea

I carry a whisper with me now
Like so many thoughts of you
I watch the stars and silver moon
and silently wish apon them,

For the waves to take me too.
