-=Road To Hell=-

I sit alone within this darkness
Racing thoughts to Deadman's curve
the brakes are shot, my foot of lead
and I steer blindly, and I do not swerve
what am I driving myself to, with such
abandon that I grip the wheel tightly
as if to keep the vessel that I ride from
escaping me. I can no longer see the road
before me, my eyes burn like the churn of
a thousand pistons pumping my blood
coursing my vein, exploding into oblivion
the road cowers before me as fire explodes
beneath, the cry of a million souls who carry
me upward and through the poised darkness.
I scream.
I am reborn.
I am the fire within, the hatred of a million souls
who cannot be heard until I open my mouth in anguish. the heavens are shaken and hell flickers
in fear as I roll past Jacob's ladder, Heaven's gate
my soul afire with the rage of my own pain, fueling the vessel to speed recklessly across the cracked and decrepit road, once paved with good intent, to meet an angel for one last clash of wills...
