Alcott

Name: Marcus Alcott. He ditched his first name a while back and simply goes by Alcott or Mr. Alcott.
Race:French, and much to his despair (and mine), Vampire. The Stoker, not the Rice type. The Rice type are lame.
Age: 235
Gender Male.
Height: 6'0''
Eyes/shape: Silvery blue. Wide and narrow. Prone to squinting a people suspiciously.
Hair/style: Platinum blond. Falls to about his chin and he wears it tied back from his face.
Face:Long and thin. His cheeks are slightly hollowed, with high cheek bones that give him a slightly emaciated look. His nose is long and pointed, his chin is sharp, his eyebrows arch nicely, and his lips are quite thin. His skin is sickly pale and so thin looking that you can sometimes see the veins running under the surface. He tends to bruise easily and often sports dark circles under his eyes. He sneers a lot and is the king of smirking and disdainful looks.
Body: Thin and lanky. He's bony and gangly and has no real muscle structure to speak of. His arms are wiry and his legs are long making him look taller then he is. They do afford him a graceful nature however, and mostly his movements are fluid. His hands are long and delicate looking.
Occupation: Trader on the magic black market. He owns and runs an emporium of sorts. If you need it he an get it, for the right price.
History: Born into an upper middle class family, Alcott was a doctor of medicine and was planning on taking over the family practice from his father. He had loving parents and a younger brother named Guilliam. The boys were close growing up, but there was a 7 year age difference between them, so there was a lot of hero worship going on for Alcott on Guilliam's part. From a young age it was clear that something wasn't quite right with Guilliam.  Nothing huge, he just seemed to enjoy inflicting pain on creatures weaker then him. He also idealized his older brother in a kind of obessive way. There was favoritism on the part of their father as well. He favored Alcott for his clever ways and studious nature, and was proud that he was to take over the family business. Guilliam was a wild child and impulsive, so it didn't surprise many when he disappeared in 1798. The family thought that he had run off to join the Revolution and determine that he probably wouldn't turn up again. It surprised them greatly when he show up in 1803 a changed man, and not for the better. He had been living in Romania and had run across a few rouge Vampires, who changed him upon his request. Longing for his brother's approval he told Alcott, who basically freaked out and called him a monster. This wounded Guilliam and in spite he bit Alcott while he was sleeping and forced him to share his blood, turning him into a Vampire as well. This nearly destroyed Alcott, but Guilliam was happy. He and his brother were immortal and his desire to inflict pain was now necessary for survival. Things didn't end well for Guilliam, however. In revenge the for lack of love he received as a child he killed their father and mother. This didn't go over well with Alcott who had retained his sense of morality. He was broken hearted over the lose of their parents and his relatively good life so while Guilliam slept, he drove a stake through his heart. After that he packed his bags and then headed for England, vowing never to return to France. In England he found and thriving magically community and was able to sustain his life without having to harm many people. He opened his shop and as he was building up his business he met Nell's great grandmother, Margaret. They formed a friendship that continues to last between Alcott and the Brightwood family.
Personality: Being undead has not treated Alcott well. He used to be a decent fellow who was extremely smart with a sarcastic sense of humor and a biting wit. Now he is bitter and sarcastic and although he has gotten over his anger at the world, he is distant and cold to most creatures. He's elitist and snobby, and sometimes just downright cruel.  Although his morals were in tacked at first, they have slowly dissipated over the years. He is sneaky, self serving, and is not above pushing people out of his way when he wants something. He has no patience for most mortals and their silly frivolous lives. He's a shrewd business man and has built up strong connections all over the magical community. Truthfully, deep down, although he hates being a vampire he is as content as he can be with his life, thanks in part to his friendships with the Brightwoods and William Jonas. He's therefore very loyal to them.  He's not big on killing people to eat, but not because he thinks it's wrong.  Rather, he finds it messy and inconvenient, so he as a supplier who works at a blood bank.
Relations: Family=dead. The Brightwoods and Jonas are his very close friends. As strange as it is, he adores Mayble and August Fitzwilliam (Nell's niece and nephew. Her half brothers children) and has ever since they were little children. He tends to spoil them when he comes around and has become their beloved "Uncle Ally."
Sexual Preference: Bisexual, leaning more toward the ladies. Having sex would involve getting close to someone and he's not really into that all to much.
Other:He's allergic to AB positive blood. It makes him break out in a hives. Doesn't really like change so he tends to still dress in the late victorian style of clothing, in colors of gray, black, silver, blue, and green. Because he is a vampire of the Stoker persuasion he can go outside in the daylight. Sunlight makes him weak though, and tends to give him a rash, so he constantly carries around a black umbrella to protect his skin.

*Note*- I hate vampires. I really really do. But I'm rather attached to Ally. Having him as a character is a complete hypocrisy on my part but I can't help it. He works too well with the plans I've made. He might get revamped in the next few months. Since having him as a vampire is making my skin crawl.
