THE NOBLE HOUSE OF AOOR

"For the lesser even as for the greater there are some deeds one may do but once only, and in that deed his heart shall rest."

-FĂ«anor of the Noldo

Matriarch: Lillana
Speciality: Magic Items
Heir: Zoolk
Main Residence: The Wonderful Mansions of Feriela

Until fairly recently Aoor was in a serious feud with Dikara, a feud which had been going on for centuries. It was ignited when the Matriarch of Dikara, Eilwedd, blatantly stole the husband of Lillana, Matriarch of Aoor. The feud had resulted in several deaths and more mayhem than any other feud in living memory (which is quite a while when one considers that Fey are immortal), and it seemed like a full-blown was was approaching. It was only ended when the Queen declared that the feud would not be tolerated any longer. Anyone found actively pursuing the feud would be excommunicated from the Court, not allowed to return for five hundred years, in addition to losing any titles and ranks and having all posessions confiscated.

Though this has stopped the open hostilities quite thoroughly, it is common knowledge that many are still aching for payback. This is especially true of Lillana, and to a certain degree her children. It should also be mentioned that several members of the two houses are extremely relieved that it is once again possible for them to be friends with each other, though it might still aggravate some members of the houses.

Aoor has been notorious for educating the best makers of magical items of all shapes and types. This has naturally made them a powerful force to be reckoned with. It has also made most other fey quite suspicious of any gifts they may receive from members of Aoor, since it might easily be some sort of cursed trap or a means of magically spying on them. This mistrust, not only of their gifts but of all items they own and wear, has kept their political might in check. The only craftsmen who even come close to their skill come from house Frial, and the constant competition between the two houses has caused them both to avoid stagnation. It has also assured a perpetual rivalry, which has made cooperation difficult at times.

A little explanation for the family tree below. It goes from the bottom and upwards. Two names joined by a line which leads to new names means that the two are parents of the names above.

The names with a black dot in front of them are the ones which actually belong to this house. The rest of them are merely related. The "m" in a circle mean that they were married, while a "+" signifies girl/boyfriends. The paranthesis behind each name is ease: Male or Female.

I kinda messed up this chart, so Leyana got a dotted line to one of her lovers whom I couldn't manage to fit in. She is also added again further up when I remembered that she once again had a little fling that belonged on this tree. Makes it a bit messy, so I'll have to plan better in the future.
