Artun III

Artun III was the third officially recorded son of Artun II, born in the year 38 AF. The Emperor ascended in 73 AF after his two elder brothers and the previous emperor were stabbed to death in mysterious circumstances. Artun III died in 84 AF while out hunting, his horse rearing at a boar and toppling to crush the emperor. Unmarried, his only heir was a bastard son by the name of Terrik.

Significant Information:
Created the first standing army of Artun in 76 AF.
Rumoured to have sired a legitimate heir in a secret marriage, but this is unproven.
Known to have favoured the short-bow, for it’s advantages on horseback.
