White Magic

White magic comes from belief in the way things were meant to be. White magic grants its users the power to restore and protect this universal order.

Spells:

Light
Required Ranks: 2; Energy Cost: 5; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 hour
Description: Creates a glowing ball of light that illuminates a 5 lurk radius. The light appears in the caster’s hand but after it is cast, it can be moved around like a normal object except that it floats 2 inches of the ground.

Flash
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 10; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 round; Range: 5 lurks; Save: fortitude check vs. Spell’s Power +10
Description: Causes a flash of light before the targets optical sensors. The target receives a -10 to attack and observation.

Protection
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target gains +5 to avoid, will and fortitude.

Scan
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 2; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Identifies all major health problems in target.

Rough Healing
Required Ranks: 10; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: touch
Description: Heals 5 points of damage.

Armor of Faith (Aura)
Required Ranks: 20
Description: So long as this spell is on mage’s spell list, mage gains +5 to Threshold and +20% to Armor Factor.

Repair
Required Ranks: 20; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target damage to an item is repaired. Examples of targets would be a single break (joining to pieces), sharpening a dull blade, cleaning off the rust, un-jamming gears, etc.

Light Blast
Required Ranks: 20; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: Shoots a beam of light with Spell’s Power + 20 accuracy and + 10 damage.

Healing
Required Ranks: 25; Energy Cost: 2X; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Heals X points of damage where X is half the energy use to cast this spell.

Quick Healing
Required Ranks: 35; Energy Cost: 25; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: touch
Description: Heals 10 points of damage

Find Falsehood
Required Ranks: 35; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 minute; Save: will check vs. Spell’s Power + 10
Description: You can identify any lies in up to 50 words spoken by a single target character. Will neglect of Caster Rank + 10.

Purify Body
Required Ranks: 40; Energy Cost: 40; Casting Time: 10 minutes; Range: touch
Description: Cures disease and removes poisons with a rating of Spell’s Power + 10 or less.

Sure Strike
Required Ranks: 40; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: cast simultaneously with an attack
Description: If caster misses with the attack that this spell is cast simultaneously with, then that attack was not made and this spell was not cast. Thus, caster regains all energy spent on both as well as the lost action.

It’s Shinny
Required Ranks: 45; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 hour; Range: touch
Description: Target Weapon glows with magical might. This grants it +10 accuracy and +5 damage. It also illuminates 2 lurks.

Brilliance
Required Ranks: 45; Energy Cost: 40; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: caster’s immediate area; Save: fortitude check vs. Spell’s Power + 10
Description: Floods the area with bright light so that all those hostile to the caster are partly blinded and receive -10 to accuracy and observation.

Recuperation
Required Ranks: 50; Energy Cost: 50; Casting Time: 1 hour; Duration: 7 days; Range: Touch
Description: Target’s Healing Rate doubles and gains a +25 bonus to Fortitude checks against disease or poison.

Self Healing (Aura)
Required Ranks: 55
Description: So long as this spell is on a mage's spell list she heals 5 HP per hour faster.

Make Unbreakable
Required Ranks: 55; Energy Cost: 50; Casting Time: 1 hour; Duration: permanent; Range: touch
Description: Target item can not be damaged by conventional means. If used on armor this spell only gives a +10 bonus to the armor’s threshold (and keeps the armor from wearing out.)

Energetic (Aura)
Required Ranks: 55
Description: So long as this spell is on a mage's spell list she recovers energy at a rate of 40 per hour faster.

Restore Item
Required Ranks: 55; Energy Cost: 40; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target item is restored to good as new. Completely destroyed items can not be restored by this spell. Missing pieces of value can not be restored.

Reattach Limb
Required Ranks: 55; Energy Cost: 50; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target dismembered limb is reattached to target body. The limb becomes fully functional.

Scorching Rays
Required Ranks: 60; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: l0 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: Rays of searing light shoots out as a weapon that has Spell’s Power +10 accuracy and +36 damage that can be divided among up to 3 targets. (Spell’s Power +10 accuracy and +12 damage to each target)

Armor of Faith (Aura)
Required Ranks: 60
Description: So long as this spell is on mage’s spell list, mage gains +10 to Threshold and +40% to Armor Factor.

Disenchant
Required Ranks: 65; Energy Cost: 40; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 5 lurks
Description: Destroys the lasting effects of spells and enchantments on items or areas that are weaker then Spell’s Power +10.

Righteous Cause
Required Ranks: 70; Energy Cost: 60; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: caster’s immediate area (room, alley, etc.)
Description: All allies of the caster in range gain +10 attack and +20 avoid.

Rejuvenate
Required Ranks: 70; Energy Cost: 80; Casting Time: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target other then caster recovers full energy.
