Soldier Crabs, hundreds of them, the dogs and I were herding them up and down the beach. Sheepdogs must have so much fun, herding is so much fun!

2006-10-28 [Dr.Mandarian]: Woh! This place is heavenly! Heeh hee, and the soldier crabs are cute, as well. As long... as they are not behaving like piranha's, or something. * squints *

2006-10-28 [Katie Staines]: *grins* Nah, they pinch you a bit when you pick them up, but they are pretty much harmless. Its great fun chasing them around the beach.

2006-10-28 [Dr.Mandarian]: I can imagine that fun very well - especially if I was a dog.
Ah! And I also see that you made an archaeological find and hit some skeleton of a prehistorical water dinosaur, while digging in the sand! X)

2006-10-28 [Katie Staines]: Yup, it was perfectly preserved after being in the sand for thousands of seconds, thanks to the huge mass of pippies that had attached themselfs to it, its shells sheilding it. Until the tide came in. o.O

2006-10-28 [Dr.Mandarian]: - lol - 'Pippies'?

2006-10-28 [Katie Staines]: Yeh, oh, those are creatures that live in the shells we put all over the... thing. o.O

2006-10-28 [Dr.Mandarian]: The thing looks like the 'bunyip'! ^_^

2006-10-28 [Katie Staines]: Omgoodness, I haven't heard of the bunyip since Junior school. O.o Brings back memories.

2006-10-28 [Dr.Mandarian]: And you found it! The mystery is lifted, finally! ^_^
